I'll second that. You will love it! Congrats on your choice.

Welcome apathy. I too agree with the recommendation of the 510. It is a small unit. About the size of a 100 cigarette. But as others have already stated, the battery life is not great. Only one to one and a half hours at best. If you don't mind charging batteries all the time, that's no problem. You could always have several on hand. You can even buy a charger from Totally Wicked that charges five batteries at a time. If you don't mind something slightly bigger, I would also say go with the eGo. I have one and I think it's the best. The batteries do cost twice as much as the regular 510 batteries, but they last six times longer - or more. Well worth it in my opinion. The battery itself is about twice as big around as the regular battery, but overall the unit is still small. Only slightly bigger than a regular cigarette. And it's a very classy looking unit. Not big and bulky at all, nor does it look like a detonator or flashlight. It is light weight, portable, and can be easily hidden in your hand. As far as taste...that's a matter of preference. I wasn't a menthol smoker, so I can't help you with that one, but someone is surely going to pop up here to help you with that. You may be able to find something close. And there you go...one popped up while I was writing this.

Madvapes is the only place I know of, but I sure do recommend them. They have great prices, good service, and always throw in extras - which is really nice.

First of all...you can't hide that way, Brian. I did see it. Second...I just ordered 5 of their LR attys. I'm really hoping I won't be disappointed. Really and truly hoping. Seriously hoping. I had two of the LR attys from NHaler and just loved them, but one quit on me after only 3 days and the second one quit me on me after only one day. I have since learned that this problem seems to be occurring with the eGo and that it might be because of using the cone. I decided to take a chance and order some more and try them without the cone. Now this. Hmmmm. I'll be sure and let you know what I think of mine when they get here. Believe me, if I don't like them, you'll probably REALLY hear what I think of them. But that's not going to happen. I am going to love them. They will not have too tight of draw. They will produce huge amounts of vapor, just like the ones I got from NHaler. I know this. It will happen. I am sure of it. Yes I am. Right?

That sounds perfectly reasonable to me, Brandon.

I agree, too. Great place to buy from!!

It always took my 14500 batteries about 4 hours to charge. Sometime just little bit more. I'm not saying your charger isn't bad, but I know it took a lot longer than that to charge mine.

I've heard a couple of comments about smell, but it's been that's it's a pleasant smell. Once my husband thought he could smell vanilla - although I wasn't vaping vanilla. He thought it smelled good. One time my grandson asked what that smell was when he came in the house. He thought it smelled like gum. It did.
-
I wish them all the best of luck! Good for you, Brandon. What an awesome thing you did there.

I fell in love with my LR 510 atty, too, but it died on me today. After only 3 days. I opened the second one and am using it now. I'm really hoping it was just fluke because I'm really liking these things. Especially with the drip tips. Just plain awesome! Next on my list is trying the cartomizers.

I smoked for just over 34 years before finding out about ecigs. All it took was one demonstration of how the thing worked and I just knew it was for me. And it was!! As of yesterday, it has been 6 months since I've had an analog. My husband never did smoke, but he also never complained about me smoking. He never complained about the cost of the cigarettes, nor did he complain about the smell of them. Each time (and there were many) I tried to quit, he encouraged me because he was concerned for my health. He also supported me each time I failed. Even though I've gone through several different PV's on my road to finding the perfect unit for myself, my husband has been right beside me, encouraging me all the way. He's not concerned about the amount of money I've spent, he's only thrilled that I am now healthier and happier. And the fact that I'm on the saving end of this now (although not as much as my banner says) is another huge bonus. I've been extremely lucky to have not only the encouragement of my husband, but also the encouragement and support from the Vapor Talk community.

I've had that happen quite a bit, but not with the LR attys. It's only ever happened to me with the 801s on the VP/PT. It about scares me to death when it does happen, but I've never had a cart pop off when it happens. Not even loose ones.

So glad it went well!! Keep us updated on how you're doing...if you don't mind.

I'll be able to put my two cents in within a few days. I just ordered a couple of them today and I have the eGo. I'll be sure to not use them on anything else.

LOL - Who, me? Gadget addiction? Huh?
-
Don't feel silly, Brandon. We've all spent money on stuff we decide not to use anymore. For whatever reason. It's part of the process. Just look at that stuff as...more backups! I keep thinking I've finally got it all down and know just what I need and how much I need and then a new subject comes up...like 510 cartomizers...and I start thinking, hmmmmmmmm. Now I'm considering trying some of these, too. It's part of the process. Right?

Glad to hear you're doing better, TeriJo. And I really and truly hope it is not the vaping causing you problems. Of course you'll still need to take care of whatever it is that is causing the problem, i.e. the pinched nerve. Doesn't sound like a lot of fun, but then I'm one who will not go to the doctor without throwing a huge fit, so I might not be the one to talk here. LOL You take care and don't be a stranger. Even if you have to wear the sunglasses to stay in touch.

How Many Emails Does Vapor Talk Get?
nana replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Wow Chris You have a lot more patience than I have. I can't even imagine going through that much email....whoa. I thought maybe you got an email from my grandson when I saw the name Elijah. Sure was glad to hear it wasn't him. I mean, since he's only 10. -
OMG - It does look like a big suppository. I wouldn't be caught dead with that thing in my lips. And did I really hear them say it was the closest thing to smoking without smoking? I beg to differ! WE have the closest thing to smoking without smoking. HA!!
-
I never would have thought it, but that does sound good. Really good. Thanks for letting us know about that.
-
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Be sure and let us know what you think of it when you finally get it.
-
I was going to try the Pen Grip thing. Completely forgot about it. And I just ordered a couple of drip tips. Shucks. I might still try the Grips though. Does it matter which kind you get? Are they different sizes? I haven't bought any in years really. I hardly write at all any more. Except for signing my name. And most of the time that's on a machine in a store with the little stylus type pens.

Aw, but Brian, you'll have plenty of spares to make your own if you need it someday - like during a ban. I have a bunch of parts for making a mod, too, but only have a partially finished box mod so far.
-
"I'm taking a small arsenal with me on the trip." Way to go, FTJoe!! That's what I like to hear.

I don't have a SB, but I do have the Indulgence. I like the button on the Indulgence - I happen to think it's great - but since I don't have the SB, I can't compare them. But the button is comfortable to me. The size of the SB is what kept me from getting it. But is the size doesn't bother you... Brian has the SB, too, so maybe he'll weigh in on this for you, too.
