In my opinion you can't go wrong with the eGo. The batteries do cost twice as much as the regular ones, but they last a whole lot longer. You would have to buy more than twice the number of the regular batteries to equal the battery life of the eGo. Because of the battery life, I think they are well worth it. I've been using the same batteries for over 3 months now and they are still going strong. Mods are good, too, but a bit more pricey. And if something goes wrong with the unit, it would have to be sent in to be fixed. Then you are without a unit for awhile. With the eGo, if a battery goes dead, you just replace it. I have four batteries now, so if one dies, I still have three others. (I'm big on backups. ) But, then the batteries are more than the batteries for the mods. Also, most mods are quite a bit bigger than the eGo. It's a toss up. There are pros and cons to both. Personally, I'm so very happy with the eGo right now that I wouldn't change. But I'm not trying to talk you into the eGo instead of the mod either. Just wanted to give you a couple of things to think about and my opinion.

Thank you, Chris. I'll be checking it out often. -
Hi Rob. The tornado is the exact same thing as the eGo - just a different name. I have both. I got the eGo batteries to begin with, but when I bought more for backups, I got the tornado. I absolutely love it. I don't have the Vypr so can't tell you which one is better. The VP2 uses the 14500 battery and since I've used that one (with the 510 atty), I can tell you that it and the eGo are very, very close in vapor production. I do believe that the Vypr and the VP2 are very similar, so I think it would be a close comparsion. So really what it would come down to is more the look of the unit and the batteries. The eGo would be quite a bit smaller. I like that about it because if you don't want to be so obvious about your vaping - or even if you want to hide it in certain places - you can conceal practically the whole unit in your hand. The Vypr is a bit bigger, but nice looking. I don't have it, but have seen pictures. A big difference is in the batteries. The eGo/tornado batteries are one unit that screws into the atty. They are great and long lasting, but when they finally wear out, you would throw them away and get new ones. I've been using my eGo batteries for 3 months now and they are still going strong, so I don't know how long they last. The Vypr is a whole unit in itself. It has rechargeable batteries that are inserted into the unit. Of course you'd have to replace those, too, when they wear out, but they are cheaper than the eGo/tornado batteries. With the eGo, you have a new unit when you have to replace batteries or attys - with the Vypr you always have the same unit. If something breaks on it, you have to send it in to be fixed. It's a toss up really.

That's too funny BirdDog!! Priceless!! I have never seen a dog sleep quite that way before. And I've seen them sleep in some very unusual ways, too. LOL

What a beauty! I love brindles. One of our Danes is a brindle. I admire you for working so hard with her and making such a big difference in her life. That's just great!

How about some tips on the best things to say, the best way to say them, and maybe what not to say? I don't live in New York, but I sure am willing to write letters if everyone thinks it will help. -
How adorable!

In the 6 months since I gave up analogs, there way only once - lately - that I thought about having one. Freaked me out! I'd been using 0 nic for quite some time, but still had some 12mg. I went and loaded up with the nic juice, calmed down immediately, and didn't think about an analog again. I seem to do really well at 0, but let some big stress pop up and go back to the nic for awhile. I'm thrilled that writing to us helped get through your craving. That's just fantastic. Keep up the good work. It really does just keep getting better and better. And that dependable pass through can help a lot, huh?

I feel sick to my stomach. -
I've been using a little bit of nic lately, but go for very long periods with no nic. I may stock up on the nic juice just a little bit more to make sure I have it if I need it, but I really wouldn't need too much to make it through for a very long time. I'm looking to really stock up on attys as I don't have nearly enough right now. I've been thinking 20 or 30 would be good, but now I'm thinking maybe twice that many. Awwwww, thanks Brian. I do try, you know?

But he's become our own personal shopper. All we have to do is wait for Brian to find the stuff and then we can just go get it. Seems about perfect to me. Thanks Brian!!

I just got the cartos from Jason and love them! I've never tried a carto before, so have nothing to compare it to, but I sure love these. I refilled from the battery end and it did work really well. I also have the LR attys and the T-tips and love them, too. I'll probably only use the cartos for road trips or times when dripping doesn't work very well. The rest of the time I'll use the drip tips. They are fantastic!

It looks like the throat issue has already been addressed here, so I'll just tell you that yes, everything starts getting better - and much quicker than a month even. Like Jeff said, energy increases, breathing gets easier and easier, and headaches go away. My sense of smell returned. Food tastes different - sometimes better, sometimes worse LOL. Check out the health section on the forum. Lots and lots of things have been discussed there. It's truly amazing.

I didn't order the kit when I got the eGo either. I ordered 2 batteries, the cone, the adapter, and the USB charger. I can charge at the computer or with my regular charger. The eGo (or tornado) batteries cost about twice as much as the regualr batteries, but they last a lot longer. Where I was only getting 1 to 1 1/2 hours with the regular batteries, I'm getting 6 to 10 hours with the eGo batteries (depending on the amount of vaping I'm doing on any given day). The extra time is well worth the extra cost to me just so I don't have to change batteries so much...or have that many extra to carry with me when I'm away from home and can't charge. I've had my eGo batteries for 3 months now and they are still going strong, so they do last a decent amount of time. And I do give them a pretty good workout every single day.

I just got my first order of cartomizers this week and have only tried one so far, but I used it with the cone. It worked just fine. Great vapor, too. Oh yeah!!
-
From the way you described the box, I think it's probably the same one I got from awesomevapor.com. So if you want to stick with that model, awesomevapor would be a great place to go for replacements.

I just got my first ever cartos yesterday and I was impressed with the vapor. It was really strange not dripping, but was also nice. I'm really interested to see how long they will last. Eight days sounds amazing to me and if they'd last that long, I might switch over to them instead of dripping. My original thought was only using them for road trips, but I could change my mind.

Unless the flavors are really strong, I've never been able to taste them. But I have found that if I vape some straight VG for awhile, it removes the flavor from the atty and then I can switch to another flavor. That might work for me because I can't taste the flavors as well as other people, but it does work for me and might work for someone else, too. I only use one atty on my eGo, one atty on my Indulgence, and one on my VP/PT. I don't switch them out any more. I only change when one dies. That works the best for me.

Hello Arc! I had wondered what happened to you, too. Glad to hear the vaping is working so well for you. And to be at 0 nic already...that's great news!! Congrats. Glad to hear you're feeling better and got the forum thing figured out again. I hope we'll hear more from you now.

I agree with you 100%, Matt. I've had my eGo since early February and couldn't be any happier with it. Everything you said about it is how I feel about it. From the feel of it in my hand, to the size, to the vapor...everything. I tend to get between 6 and 8 hours out of each battery, which is just great for me. My batteries tend to take 4 hours to charge, but that's okay because one battery is charged before I need the next one. If I use the USB charger, it only takes about 2 hours to charge. If my experience is anything to go by, I'm pretty sure you'll stay as happy with your eGo in the future as you are right now. I couldn't be any happier with mine.

nana replied to Jenny's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Welcome to Vapor Talk, Jenny. I have to say I am very impressed. It's going to be a lot of fun having you around here. I already know I'll be looking forward to reading a lot more from you. -
This is the first and only forum for me, too. It took me a few weeks of "lurking" before I got up the nerve to sign up. I felt like a complete fool to begin with, but everyone put me at ease and now they have to pay the price. I never shut up. I'm sure if I can do this, a lot of other people can too. I'm sure they can see how nice it is here and they'll join when they are ready. And after reading this thread, they might join just a bit faster. Yeah Vapor Talk!!

Oh yeah. Sitting in front of the computer with a pass through. Can't get much better than that, can it? And yes, I'd say that's pretty normal. Taper off? Ummm. Maybe not. At least not for me. I'm sure it's more habit than anything, but I do vape more when I'm sitting at the computer. Or watching t.v. But it's all good, right?
