Please Help Me Decide On Which One? Here Are My Stats
nana replied to posts's topic in New Vapers Forum
Welcome to Vapor Talk. You've come to the right place for answers. I would recommend the eGo (or tornado - same ecig, different name) It's close to the size of a cigarette, but doesn't look like one. You can now get them in different colors...mine is black. The kit comes with atomizers, cartridges, batteries, and a charger. For the most part it comes with everything you need to get started. That being said, I've always been a big "backups" person. For instance, you can vape with one battery while the other is charging, but if one of the batteries quits on you, you wouldn't be able to vape while your one and only battery is charging, so I suggest you have at least 3 batteries. If the kit comes with two atomizers, that's great, but it one of them quits too early, you're only left with one...so extra atomizers are a must. Same thing with chargers. It doesn't hurt to have an extra charger - just in case. You can use the cartridges or you can direct drip, but in either case you will need some e-juice. You'll have to go through a few different flavors to find that one or ones that you like best. You will also want plenty of juice on hand. Remember, backups. As long as you have extra batteries, atomizers, and juice, you'll be set. If something breaks, you'll have the replacements without having to wait on them to come in the mail. That's why I always say "backups, backups, backups." The juice is a matter of personal preference. There are plenty of places that have tobacco flavors, but be aware that they really don't taste like any tobacco you've ever had smoking since you aren't smoking - you aren't burning anything. But there are lots of pleasant tasting juices out there. The eGo/tornado is ideal for stealth vaping. You can hide the whole thing in your hand and no one would know you have it. If you hold the vapor in your mouth for a few moments befor exhaling, you will see very little - if any - vapor. The battery life on the eGo/tornado is just about the best. You can easily get 6 to 8 hours vaping very heavily. If you don't vape as heavily you could get a few more hours. You can vape on one battery while the other is charging, so you will always have a battery charged and ready to go. I have had the tip get hot, but it cools off quickly. It's not too hot though. I've put them in my pocket while they were hot with no problem. However, if it is in your pocket and the button is pushed, it can get hot enough to burn your leg. Don't ask how I know this. While it can get hot, you don't need anything special to put it down on. Wait a second and it will cool off enough to lay it down anywhere. Also, the eGo/tornado has a flat bottom so you can stand it on end. It doesn't get hot enough to burn anything or anyone as a rule - with the exception of the pocket thing mentioned before. There can be some smell with some of the juices. When I am vaping my cinnamon, my husband can smell that. He also says he can smell the chocolate and peanut butter mix. It makes him want a Reese's candy bar. LOL The smell - when there is one - doesn't linger like the smell of cigarettes though. For the most part, I think people do eventually quit smoking. There are a few members here that still have a cigarette or two now and then, but I think most of us have quit all together. Several people have gone to 0 nicotine, too. I vape 0 nic quite a bit of the time, but still use the nic juice off and on when I get stressed. The highest level of nic I use now is 12mg or less. Quite a bit of the time it's 6mg or less. I hope some of this helps you out. There will be more people with more answers soon. Or they have already answered since it's taken me so long to write all of this. Good luck and ask any more questions you come up with. -
Great choice on the eGo. You won't be disappointed at all. I was going to say in my last post (but I forgot), that yes, you can use cartomizers with the eGo. Another thing you might want to consider...Totally Wicked has a charger that will charge 5 batteries at once. TW has the "tornado" which is the exact same thing as the "eGo", only with a different name. Their charger is on sale right now for $17.49 (I think that was the sale price). I have one (but didn't get it at the sale price, darn it) and it's great to be able to charge more than one battery at once. You do have to buy adapters to put on the charger, but they are fairly cheap. Since the two of you would be using the same batteries, it seems like it would make more sense to have the one charger instead of several. Just thought I would mention it. Here's the charger: http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.com/products/e-cig-accessories-510-titan/e-ni-510-titan5-battery-mega-charger-product.html Here's a five pack of the adapters: http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.com/products/tornado-e-ni-accessories/tornado-battery-mains-charger-adaptorx-product.html

Or possibly we can hold out hope that you will come to realize the true beauty of the black units, my dear friend Dave.

Any information we share is a big thing. I love my drip tips and want a few more. I liked the price at TW, but I know I wouldn't like the small opening, so you saved me some time and money. That is always greatly appreciated.

You know I understand, Dave...just as you know I had to mention that I have the black one to give you a hard time about what you said.

I highly recommend the eGo! Battery life is great, size is great, and it's a beauty to boot! I actually have 6 batteries for the eGo (yes, backups for the backups, backups) and rotate between them. I always have one on the charger...sometimes two. And I've left them overnight with no problem whatsoever. My two original eGo batts have been going since the first of February, so I doubt leaving them on the charger does any damage. I also own the Silver Bullet. No, you cannot get that one at Wordup. It is only available from AltSmoke...except they are out of them at the moment. It is a rather large unit, but boy is it a vaping machine!! I just love it. I also have the pass through to go with it. I use that when I'm at the computer and I use it with the 18650 batteries the rest of the time. The batteries last forever (okay, about two days), but also take about ten hours to charge. It is large enough that I'm not comfortable using it out in public, but it's awesome for use at home or on the road. I would also highly recommend the Silver Bullet, but it might be better for someone who has been vaping a bit longer rather than just starting out.

Thanks for that info. I was going to order some drip tips from TW, but I wouldn't care for the small opening so I'll pass on them now.

I also have the (Black - sorry Dave, I think it's classier looking) Silver Bullet with the PT. I switch between batteries and PT off and on. Any time I am at the computer, I use the PT. This is absolutely a must have device. It's solid and vapes like a machine!! I still use my eGo because it's easier to carry around in a pocket when I'm up and about, but being able to switch between battery and PT makes the SB just plain amazing. I've only tried the SB at 6v a very few times, but it's great that I can any time I want. I couldn't be any happier with the SB. It's the perfect device as far as I'm concerned.

I don't know why, but I haven't had good luck with the LR attys. I've had them die after a couple of hours, one day, 3 days, one week, and two weeks. Two weeks is the most I've gotten out of any of them. I've kept buying them because I love them, but I don't know that I'll buy any more because I just can't keep doing this. It's extremely frustrating and costs too much.

Thanks for the warning, Brian. That's good information.

He is still adorable!!! Wonderful video!! I loved the "bubbles" you put in that last scene. That was cool!

I had to do some searching, but I found these...hope they help you out some... http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/topic/2123-e-cig-slang/page__p__15056__hl__terms__fromsearch__1&#entry15056 http://www.ecig-liquid.co.uk/shop/page/14?shop_param=

There are no dumb questions at all. We've all been there and asked all the questions. We're here to help you understand everything that goes along with vaping. I don't do texting either.
-
Ah, but the wait will have been worth it...as soon as you have that beauty in your hands.
-
I completely understand. I love my eGo, too! I've thought about getting a lanyard, but haven't found anything I want yet.
-
Chocolate Mint from FreedomSmokeUSA. It's not quite strong enough for me, but it is good. I'm going to get some flavoring to try to add to this one.
-
I've ordered from them, too. That's even where I got my 2 amp car adapter. Great service, great prices, great products, great info for modding, etc. Can't go wrong with them!
-
Fantastic Brian!! What a clever idea! I have got to give that one a try. I don't have any adapters (yet) for the 801 on my SB, but I can still use one on my VP/PT.

Thanks for the pics, kitsune. It's always nice to put a face with a name. You sure do look happy with your ego. But then, how you could not be? LOL
-
Good job, Brian! Nice to know the Omega is the same quality as the SB. I know I am more than impressed with my SB and would highly recommend it to anyone. And by the way...you didn't "babble on".

I remember a time - not so long ago - when I would see all kinds of people smoking in stores - even while shopping for clothes. Things have changed. I don't like to draw attention to myself either. It got so I was terribly uncomfortable smoking in public and I think that has carried over to the vaping. I know I couldn't vape in a store.
-
Personally, I wouldn't wear a pink shirt, but I like the black better than the white.
-
I've been to Cali a couple of times, but never to Disneyland. Keep on having fun, kitsune.

Great review!! I've been a fan of tasty vapor since November and have been using Atomic Cinnacide (formerly known as Atomic Fireball) as my main vape since then. I haven't tried those other flavors yet, but now I just might have to. Thanks for the info.

I rarely feel the need to put my ecig down. I vape all the time. Okay, except when I'm in the bathtub, or doing dishes, or sleeping. The rest of the time, it's in my hand or in my mouth. I love vaping.
