  1. I think the drip tip is one of the best things they've come out with. I'll never go back to carts, that's for sure.
  2. Oh boy! Dave's in heaven now!! LOL
  3. We know what you're going through. It's really rough when things don't work. I really hope the eGo works for you. It sure did for me and a lot of other people out there, but then I don't know of anyone else who has had this much trouble right off the bat. Try to hang in there. It really is worth it. You already got some great advice, so I'll just ask a couple of questions here. Have you watched any of the "how to" videos on this site? One of the main things to vaping is that it is not exactly like smoking. You need to take longer, slower drags than you do with a cigarette. Filling your mouth with the vapor before inhaling also helps a lot. Are you doing it that way? It's possible you're trying too hard. I know I did in the beginning. Once I got that part figured out, the rest fell into place. Please feel free to ask all the questions you need to ask. We don't mind answering. That's what we're here for. We'll do everything we can to help you out.
  4. Backups are extremely important, but I agree that if you already have the tornado, you'd be taking a step backwards. I don't think you'd be very happy with it honestly. With the tornado, you already have the best there is - with the exception of the bigger devices. You might want to look into a pass through or something like the Silver Bullet. You are limited in where you can use a pass through, but they really do come in handy. The Silver Bullet is a fairly big device, but it is awesome. Plus you can get a pass through for it. There are lots of options out there that would be a step up and that's probably the way you want to go. Ask any questions you have and we'll be sure to help you all we can. Lots of us have a lot of experience with the different devices and can give advice or just our opinions.
  5. That's what I was getting at. The question was about the mega batts kit. That's what I was trying to address. I use the eGo and think it's much, much better, but that wasn't the question. I would also buy the batteris and attys in bulk, but for someone new who might need it all, the kits are probably the best way to go. From there they can start buying in bulk as finances allow.
  6. All I can tell you is what I've been doing. When I got my first eGo batts the first of February, I also got the adapters from TW. I do have the USB charger that is made just for the eGo. I've used the USB charger a few times, but for the most part I use the TW 5 battery charger with the adapters. Six months later and I'm still using those same batteries - although I did buy 4 more batteries since then. I've had the extra batteries 4 months (2 of them are tornado and 2 of them are Joye). All of them are still working and working well. They do not hold a charge as long now as they did in the beginning, but I'm still getting about 4 hours out of each of them. I don't think that's too bad for this length of time. When I use the USB charger on my computer, it takes about 2 hours to charge a battery. When I use the regular 510 charger with the adapters, it takes about 4 hours to charge. I never knew before why it took longer on the regular charger, but now I understand. It's never bothered me too much because I have enough batteries to never be without while some are charging. I never bought a kit before (well, until last week), so I didn't know about the warning. I just went by what it said on the TW sight and I figured if they were selling an adapter to use with the regular charger, it must be okay to use it. And as I said, I've never had a problem in the 6 months I've been using them. I thought the only problem came with trying to charge a regular 510 battery on the eGo charger, so of course I never tried to do that. But then I haven't wanted to use a regular 510 since getting the eGo either.
  7. I'm going to disagree with benjamin1990. That's a pretty good kit. It has three "mega" batteries (which last longer than the regular 510 batteries), 3 atomizers, juice, AND their charger that will charge 5 batteries at once. All in all, it's good. TW is a good company to buy from, they have great customer service and are fairly quick with their shipping. You really can't go wrong with this one. I DO have an eGo/tornado and I do love it. The battery life is better than even the "mega" 510 batteries, but that is really the only difference. I do recommend the eGo/tornado, but you weren't asking about that, so I'm saying this kit is just fine. And if you ever decide you want to try the eGo/tornado, you can buy adapters from TW and still use this charger. Great deal!
  8. I did the same thing. Found out about ecigs via the smoke shack here and bought what I later found out was a knock off of the m401. I was told the same story about the cart being equal to 2 packs, but after going through one cart in less than a day, I had that one figured out. But it made me curious to see what else was out there and I starting goggling. I also found Chris and Sean's DSE 901 video, their recommendation of Arno, and I immediately bought one. Of course then I saw their DSE 801 video and had to buy that. Then of course there was the 510, the VP2, and on and on and on. LOL Although I had a shaky start, it was enough to get me really interested and led me to all the great people and great devices I've since found. So we can hope the same will happen for other people with ads like this. At least it gets the message out there that there is something available.
  9. Any 510 atty will work on your eGo. I prefer the LR attys because they produce more vapor - for some reason I seem to like more vapor. I've purchased attys from several different places, but I always stick with the Joye 510s.
  10. Thanks. That's good to know.
  11. Yes, it should say USP on it. I've never found one that didn't. Yet.
  12. That's the stuff. It can also be used in the making of skin care products...like soaps, hand lotion, etc.
  13. Do you think they need it? Are the holes on the small side?
  14. Washing: brown gunk off of walls, windows, windshields, and dirty ashtrays.
  15. I have 6 eGo/tornado batts and have never had that happen. My oldest batts are 6 months, the others are about 4 months. Although they aren't holding a charge as long anymore, they only flash when they need a charge.
  16. We like finding out about new suppliers. That's what the review section is for. I've never heard of them either, so thanks for the link. I'll check them out.
  17. Awww!! Well, it works for me.
  18. TW does have an adapter to use with the eGo/tornado battery so you can charge on a regular 510 charger. I have two of them. I also have one of their chargers that will charge 5 batteries at once. I use it all the time to charge my eGo batteries and have done so for the 6 months I've been using the eGo. I didn't order a kit - just bought an eGo battery and a cone, plus the adapters - so I didn't know they recommend to not use a regular charger. But I've had no problems whatsoever with that set up.
  19. Thanks for the info.
  20. It's hit and miss with attys. I've had them last one week, two weeks, a month, and even two months. You just never know. Which is why I always recommend backups. I always have several on hand. Right now I have at least 25 just waiting to be used. I've never had any luck with bringing attys back by boiling, but I think others have. Someone will be here shortly to let you know what they do. Good luck. I hope you can salvage at least one until you can get some more. I know what an awful feeling it is to be on the verge of not having the vaping supplies you need.
  21. I think NHaler is just lovin' Vapor Talk about now.
  22. LOL - then this will work out so well for you. LOL
  23. What happens if you find one at a lower price somewhere? What does that mean?
  24. I'll agree with the drip tips. They are the best way to go. And welcome to Vapor Talk.
