  1. Hi Bob! Welcome to Vapor Talk and congratulations on 7 weeks.
  2. Congratulations!!! I remember what an amazing feeling it was to reach that one year mark. And it's still just amazing as I near the two year mark.
  3. The VP-PT is a passthrough that a lot of us got back in the day. This poll is from almost two years ago and a lot of things have changed since then...quite a lot of new units available that weren't available back then.
  4. You know how every once in awhile you come across one of those funny little stories? The ones that probably aren't true, but could be true? Well, this one was sent to me via email and I laughed so hard I had tears running down my face. I just had to share it with everyone here. I hope it at least brings a smile to your face. Enjoy! Hanging by my Boob While conducting some business at the Court House, I overheard a lady, who had been arrested for assaulting a Mammogram Technician, say, "Your Honor, I'm guilty but.....there were extenuating circumstances." The female Judge said, sarcastically, "I'd certainly like to hear those extenuating circumstances." I did too so, I listened as the lady told her story. "Your Honor, I had a mammogram appointment, which I actually kept. I was met by this perky little clipboard carrier smiling from ear to ear and she tilted her head to one side and crooned, "Hi! I'm Belinda! All I need you to do is step into this room right here, strip to the waist, then slip On this gown. Everything clear?" I'm thinking, "Belinda, try decaf. This ain't rocket science." Belinda then skipped away to prepare the chamber of horrors. With the right side finished, Belinda flipped me (literally) to the left and said, "Hmmmm. Can you stand on your tippy toes and lean in a tad so we can get everything?" Fine, I answered. I was freezing, bruised, and out of air, so why not use the remaining circulation in my legs and neck to finish me off? My body was in a holding pattern that defied gravity (with my other breast wedged between those two 4 inch pieces of square glass) when I heard and felt a zap! Complete darkness, the power was off! Belinda said, "Uh-oh, maintenance is working, bet they hit a snag." Then she headed for the door. "Excuse me! You're not leaving me in this vise alone are you?" I shouted. Belinda kept going and said, "Oh, you fussy puppy...the door's wide open so you'll have the emergency hall lights. I'll be right back." Before I could shout NOOOO! She disappeared. And that's exactly how Bubba and Earl, "maintenance men Extraordinaire" found me...half-naked with part of me dangling from the Jaws of Life and the other part smashed between glass! After exchanging a polite Hi, how's it going type greeting, Bubba (or possibly Earl) asked, to my utter disbelief, if I knew the power was off. Trying to disguise my hysteria, I replied with as much calmness as possible, "Uh, yes, I did but thanks anyway." "OK, you take care now" Bubba replied and waved good-bye as though I'd been standing in the line at the grocery store. Two hours later, Belinda breezes in wearing a sheepish grin. Making no attempt to suppress her amusement, she said, "Oh I am sooo sorry! The power came back on and I totally forgot about you! And silly me, I went to lunch. Are we upset?" And that, Your Honor, is exactly how her head ended up between the clamps...." The judge could hardly contain her laughter as she said "Case Dismissed."
  5. Welcome to Vapor Talk! Congratulations on the quit. I really have no desire whatsoever to quit vaping. Not ever. Although, I am happy for those who want to and then do it.
  6. Welcome to Vapor Talk! Happy vaping to you!
  7. Welcome to Vapor Talk, Alan. So glad to hear vaping is working for you. If you need any help with the DIY, just ask and you'll probably get all the help you need.
  8. She is adorable! And getting so big!!
  9. Welcome to Vapor Talk. It is truly amazing. We've all been there and know exactly how you feel. We still do. Believe me, it only gets better and better and better.
  10. Boast away!!! I would, too. She's really very good.
  11. At least you have the video! LOL
  12. Nope, wouldn't have guessed that one. Now you'll have to get her to sing to you while she's trimming.
  13. Despite the shorter lifespan and using more juice with LR attys, they are still what I use. I only use the regular ones at 5V now. The extra vapor I get from using LR is the difference between success and failure when it comes to vaping. For me at least. Before they came out with LR, I was perfectly happy with regular, but there is no way I could go back now. I know because I have tried. The only way for you to know what works best for you is to try them. Really, you need to try lots of different things to know exactly what works for you. In the end, that's all that matters. Good luck!!
  14. When I first started vaping, we all mostly used cartridges. We all worked hard at trying to find the best filler and methods, etc., but nothing ever seemed to work well. Dripping quickly became the preferred method for most of us and has stood the test of time. Drip tips added to the ease and comfort of dripping. Although I've moved on to "bottom feeder" types of mods and absolutely LOVE them, I still drip a good share of the time. I have never had problem with juice leaking from an atty when I drip, but then again, I rarely put my PV down or put it in a pocket - if I do put it in a pocket, it's after vaping so the atty wouldn't have much juice left in it.
  15. I gave up on trying to clean attys a long time ago.
  16. It is truly amazing, isn't it? I quit right away - after smoking for 34+ years. I am coming up on my two year anniversary of being smoke free and I'm still amazed by it. Congratulations and welcome!
  17. I don't belong to any other forums, so I may be just a bit biased, but I like this place. It's comfy. It's homey. It's safe. It's family. Chris has done a wonderful job putting it together, maintaining it, keeping the drama out, and keeping it a good place to be. He's picked the best of the best as admin's to help him out, too.
  18. Hi and welcome to Vapor Talk! You picked a nice bunch of folks to hang around with.
  19. Gotta love the people of Vapor Talk!! You guys rock!! Good luck Ryan and welcome to Vapor Talk!
  20. I used to be able to copy and paste on here, but I can't any more. I figured it had to do with the new forum. Hmmm...
  21. I just bought a Maxi Roughstack V2 from Madvapes. It uses the long lasting 18650 battery (which I love!) and a 510 atty. Batteries are a lot cheaper to replace than the eGo, and you can buy a replacement switch if you ever need to and fix it yourself. I liked the sounds of it, so I tried it. I don't like the switch as well as the one on my Silver Bullet, but it's okay. I'd also rather have the unit in black, but it only comes in silver. Overall though, I'm happy with the unit. And at only $45. it's a great price. It's not VV, but I have never been able to talk myself into trying a VV. Just another idea.
  22. Welcome to both of you!
  23. Welcome to Vapor Talk...you'll find quite a few nice people around here.
  24. I've never used the vendor you mentioned, but have ordered from Liberty Flights. They are a good company with good prices. Great choice with the eGo, by the way. You can't go wrong with it. I'd agree with the suggestion to leave the tanks for later.
  25. As a matter of fact, I do. But now that I think of it, I'm not sure why I do.
