  1. I bought a small case logic case at Wal-Mart for about $5. It holds an extra SB battery, a few attys, a couple of 6ml bottles of juice, and my extra eGo batts. It works perfect for me. In case you are interested, here is a link to the one I got. It's the first one on the page. http://www.walmart.com/search/search-ng.do?search_constraint=0&ic=48_0&search_query=case+logic+flash+drive&Find.x=28&Find.y=11&Find=Find And yes, I usually have quite a few supplies with me whenever I leave home. As kitsune says, gotta have backups, backups, and then some more backups. I've had regular 510 attys that lasted for 2 months. I think my average with them is more like 1 month. But I've had them last for less than a week also. LR attys have lasted me for as long as 2 weeks, but no longer. I've had a couple that lasted only 4 hours. That upset me, but there's nothing a person can do about it. If they all lasted at least 2 weeks, I'd be pretty happy with them, but I haven't had that many last the whole 2 weeks. A few have lasted for only a day. A couple for about 3 days. I've gone through several and have not found them to be consistent yet. I've had the best luck with the LR attys I got from TW, but I have no idea why that would be. I've had some LR 901 attys that lasted for 2 weeks, but I also had two of the die in one week. I guess they aren't very consistent either. I really think it's all hit and miss.
  2. Not too funny or unusual I guess, but...I was buying cigarettes at a local "gas station". The gal working there said she hadn't had a cigarette since getting her "electric cigarette". I had never heard of them and thought she must be losing her mind. I asked her what she was talking about. She told me and then showed me. I asked her where she got it and made a bee line for the local "smoke shack". They didn't have any in stock, so I had to wait a few days for them to get some ordered. I vaped for a week before finding out they couldn't keep up with me in the number of cartridges I was using (because they do not last the equivalent of two packs of cigs), so I started doing some research and found this place. The rest is history.....
  3. Welcome to Vapor Talk. I think you got some good advice. My husband has never been a smoker, so I haven't had this problem. He - however - has been very supportive in all my attempts to quit smoking. He's thrilled that I finally have, too, but he never did complain about my smoking. Of course complaining wouldn't have worked either. LOL Time and patience are of the utmost importance, I believe. Good luck and let us know how it's going.
  4. Welcome to Vapor Talk. It looks like your questions have pretty much been answered. I'd like to recommend that you watch some videos (there are several really good ones right here on Vapor Talk). They will answer some questions and show you the best way to "vape". Also, a lot of older posts here could provide you with a lot more information. I've never used the blu, but have used several other devices. I have never had a problem with an ecig, but I had to go through several models before finding what worked best for me. I, too, highly recommend the eGo. It is a bit bigger than a regular cigarette, but preforms so well that you probably won't miss a cigarette shape and size at all. Do take the advice of the others and take long, slow drags, filling your mouth before inhaling. It really does work best that way. Good luck and continue to ask any questions you have.
  5. I go back and forth between my eGo with the LR atty and my SB PT at 5v. I also use my SB at 3.7v quite a bit. Just because I don't want to be hooked on 5v all the time. I know it would happen. Besides, my SB PT has to be plugged in and I can't only use it all the time, so that helps. When I need to be up about doing things, my eGo is a lot handier to carry around in a pocket.
  6. If you're using a 901 atty, I would recommend that you order some LR901s from NeRo9k at Create Vapor. I have some and just love them! The flavor really comes through with them a lot stronger than the LR510s I was using before. Same thing would be true with the regular 801s that you are using.
  7. Thanks for the link, Brian. I'd like to see some more news done on them, with more success stories. And yet it seems like the more they are in the news, the more the bans are talked about. I can't decide if it's a good thing or not. I'd sure like more people to know about them and use them, but I don't want them taken away from me either.
  8. I kept my last pack of cigarettes for 3 months. Not for an emergency or anything like that, but because there were only two cigarettes gone from the pack and I just hate to throw things away. Feels like I'm wasting money. Every time I saw that pack, I smiled because it felt so good to see them and not want them. At 3 months I finally threw them away and was proud of myself for doing it, too. In a few days it will be 11 months since I had my last cigarette and I'm still thrilled with it.
  9. It's all pure bliss for me. That's why I can't seem to put it down.
  10. Yep! It's that good. A whole lot better than cigarettes. The puffs per cartridge depend on how much juice is in the cartridge. It's about ten puffs per three drops, but unless you know how many drops are in the cartridge...it's a guess. When you're done? What is that? LOL If you really feel the need to put it down (have mercy!!), just put it down. Wherever you want to put it. Just don't misplace it!! Enjoy!!!
  11. It is like Christmas!! Congrats!!
  12. You're welcome, Uma. This stuff always confuses me, but if Brian is confused, I'm in big trouble.
  13. Brian uses an enercell, Uma. I'm sure he'll jump in here sometime and tell you all about it. He's got a video on here somewhere, too.
  14. Second to last post, FTJoe? Unless you have an adapter, you can't charge an eGo battery on a 510 charger. I have the adapters and used them for a long time with no problems. I'm guessing - because I've never tried it - that you can put a regular 510 battery on the eGo charger, they do warn you that the battery will explode if you, so there must be a reason they warn you. I've never had something like that happen with a battery. I'm sure sorry you did. That's awful.
  15. I vape all the time - except when I'm sleeping. It seems like more than I smoked, but I don't do it the same, so I'm not so sure. But I do have my eGo in my hand or pocket most of the time. If I'm doing something I can't have it in my hand, it's in my pocket for a few minutes. But I can also put it down for an hour or more and not touch it. But only if I'm busy doing something else. I probably go through more juice than most people do, but since I'm making my own, the cost is very low. As far as cutting the nic level down, that was so easy for me. I started out high with 48 and 36 mg juices. When I noticed I was fine when I only used the 36, I never bought any more 48. Then I ordered a juice I wanted to try in 24mg and did fine with that, so when the 36 was gone, I never bought any more of that. Then I decided to try 12mg just to see how I did. Everything went fine there, so I cut my 12 to 6 and did fine with that. I cut that to 3, then to 0 with no problems at all. I went through some stressful times and went back up to 12mg for a couple of months. Right now I'm back at 0 most of the time and have been there for over a month. I have nic juice left and have mixed a few drops of it in now and then, so it's not always 0, but probably very close. If I feel the need for more nic, it's always handy, too. The amount I vape doesn't change. I just feel better when I am vaping, so I vape.
  16. If you really want one that looks like a cigarette, then I'm sure either one would be fine. Vapor Talk and Totally Wicked are both places you can trust. I used to always recommend the 510 (which I'm sure those are, or are at least similar), but started recommending the eGo after it came out. The only reason for that was because of battery life. But if you don't mind changing and charging batteries every hour, that unit should work just fine for you. A lot of people seem to need the look of a "real" cigarette to start out. No problem. Whatever works for you is just great.
  17. Welcome to the ranks! I've never had a problem with a LR atty killing a battery. I have several eGo batteries and all I use are the LR attys. I had my first eGo battery die a couple of days ago and it was one of the first ones I bought and started using on the 2nd of February.
  18. Congratulations! That's exactly why we all recommend the eGo now. Glad you're loving it. And leaving it in the car is a no-no. You'll ruin your juice that way. You do not want to ruin your juice. I've never heard it would hurt the device, but I might have missed that one.
  19. I have a Silver Bullet and have used it at 6V a few times. I've heard that the attys don't last as long on 6V, so I haven't wanted to use it that way too much. Besides, I always end up burning my lips when I try it at 6V. The LR attys don't seem to use up the batteries any faster than a regular atty does - or at least not for me. I have an 18650 3000 mAh battery and it lasts me at least a day and a half and sometimes two full days. And I always use a LR atty on it. I'm a heavy vapor and very seldom ever put it down, so I really don't think the LR attys shorten the battery life at all.
  20. Welcome to Vapor Talk...where your questions are always answered.
  21. Congratulations on the one year anniversary, BirdDog!!
  22. Since October 1, 2009. Had my last cigarette EVER on October 12, 2009.
