Drip Tips How They Work? And 5-6V Recommendations?
nana replied to asmcriminal's topic in New Vapers Forum
Uma explained it much better than I did. -
Sorry to hear you are disappointed. What PV do you have? That can make a difference. And you could move the nic level up a bit, but you don't want to go to high either. Give it some time...there is a learning curve, but it's not hard.

Drip Tips How They Work? And 5-6V Recommendations?
nana replied to asmcriminal's topic in New Vapers Forum
When you drip, you have to remove the cartridge to do so. If you have a drip tip, it has a hole in the top that you drip through so that you don't have to remove and replace the cartridge every time. It just makes the whole process a lot easier. My recommendation for 5/6V vaping would be the Silver Bullet. You can use the 18650 batteries in it for 3.7V, or two of the RCR123A batteries for 6V, or you can buy the pass through to use with it for 5V. I have a Black Silver Bullet and just love it. http://altsmoke.com/starterkit/silverbulletusa/altsilverbullet.html -
Quite Possibly The Luckiest People Ever

Well....ummmm....yeah...I think you got it right, kitsune. -
I just found this thread and was going to say that I only get that feeling when my atty is running dry - but Jeff beat me to it. Then I was going to suggest the "filling your mouth with vapor first", but you already figured that out. I try to tell all new people that right off because it was one of the best pieces of advice I got when I started. That, along with taking a long, slow drag instead of short, quick drags. I don't always remember to tell everyone though. I'm glad you found it out all on your own. Happy Vaping!!!!

Welcome to Vapor Talk. The eGo is a perfect choice! The battery life is wonderful. I'm sure you'll be a lot happier with it. So many people are. I have yet to hear of anyone that doesn't like it. It's that good. As far as the pre-filled cartridges go...if you don't like the taste of the juice that comes in the cartridges, you can take the filling out, rinse it off and blot the filler dry with a paper towel. Then you can add your own juice to the filler and vape away. Direct dripping is another option. That's what I do and what a lot of people here do. For me, it's much easier than refilling cartridges all the time. I also use a drip tip so I don't have to remove the cartridge to drip. I can't help you with the flavor, but I'm sure someone will be here soon who can. Good luck and happy vaping!

Wonderful! Thanks for sharing.

I remember what the gunk looked like when I'd clean the windows in the car when I smoked. Or the walls in my house for that matter. Since that was the same gunk I was taking into my mouth and lungs and then blowing out onto the windows and walls, I know for a fact that it was on my teeth also. I've been vaping for almost a year now and I no longer have that gunk on the windows or walls. Stands to reason I don't have it on my teeth either. Maybe it is was something she ate instead? Or from smoking before. But I don't think it was from vaping. Just my opinion. I won't give my opinion of the dentists opinion.

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You had me going for a second there, Brian. I was about to ask if you were really, really sick because of your answer and then I noticed the "NOT!" part. ROFLMAO

I could be wrong, but I think that is the only place to buy the Silver Bullet. They have pretty good prices. I didn't get my batteries or charger from them though. I got mine from the same place Brian got his. I'm sure he'll be back in a minute or two to give you the correct link. Right now, I can't think what the price was. I do have two batteries. One will last for about two days. It does take at least 10 hours to charge one of those batteries, so you do want to have one to use while the other is charging. Before long I'll be ordering a couple more batteries to have on hand in case one of these dies on me. The thought of that has been making me nervous lately.

Never gonna happen though, is it, Brian? LOL

Welcome to Vapor Talk. Excellent choice with the eGo.

Welcome to Vapor Talk. I'll chime in and say the eGo is a perfect unit. I love mine and use it a lot. But...if you have already been vaping and don't think you'd mind the size of the Silver Bullet, I would say go for it. I have a Black Silver Bullet and just love it. As Brian said, you need the batteries and charger, atomizers, etc., and it does cost a bit more to get started with it, but it's well worth the money. I also have the pass through for my Silver Bullet and enjoy using it on occasion. I've also used it at 6V, but not a lot. Good luck with whatever you choose.

Two of my favorite devices are the eGo and the silver bullet. For someone just starting out, I'd recommend the eGo because it's a great device and is small enough to not intimidate people in the beginning. The batteries can last some people all day. For me, the batteries last from 6 to 8 hours. I no longer use cartridges, I use drip tips. There is less hassle with them as I felt I was filling cartridges too much. I probably drip too much, too, but that's less hassle for me. The SB is a much bigger device and that can scare people. It's taller, bigger around, and much heavier. But it's one solid, durable unit. The 18650 batteries I use with it last me for almost 2 days. I also have the pass through for it, so can save on the batteries by plugging into that. The pass through is a 5v device, so I have the option of using that or the batteries at 3.7V - depending on my mood. Plus, by switching to the RCR123A batteries, I can vape at 6V. I also use drip tips with the SB and I'm currently using a LR901 atty (with an adapter) on this unit. Whatever you decide to purchase, I would recommend getting several attys, a couple of extra batteries, and several bottles of eliquid. If you only have two attys and the one you are using dies, you are down to one while you wait on more to come in the mail. If that last atty only lasts one day, you have no way to vape until you get more. If you only have two batteries and one dies, you have no way to vape while that battery charges and that can be an awful thing to go through. Well, at least for me. If you end up using more eliquid than you planned on using, you can run out before a new order comes in. I've done most of those things and that's why I'm so big on recommending "backups, backups, backups"...and then some more backups. I can recommend the LR attys, but not the cartos. I know a lot of people here just love them, but I don't. It's a personal thing...like the flavors...it all depends on your personal taste. Really, it's a good idea to try a bit of everything so you can decide what does and does not work for you. Just be sure to have plenty of what you decide on. Best of luck in your new adventure!

My New Lr Cartos, Flavorings, And Drip Tip
nana replied to AimeeG's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Sounds really good...for the most part. I think you might come to love the drip tips if you give them some time. I couldn't live without them anymore. -
Welcome to Vapor Talk. I'm sure you'll love that eGo. Just remember to take it easy at first. If you have any problems ask a lot of questions and people will jump in here to help you out. While you're waiting for your kit, try watching some of the videos on here. You'll learn a lot. Be sure to let us know what you think of the eGo when you get it.

Just Recieved Totally Wicked Tornado In The Mail!
nana replied to StOmPeR's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Now you know what we've all been talking about!! Wanna hear more good news? It only gets better and better!! -
Welcome to Vapor Talk. You already received a lot of great advice. I just wanted to add that you do have to take longer drags with the ecig, but that probably won't bother you after a short time. It becomes second nature. Really. And you can take shorter drags if you want, but you won't produce the same amount of vapor. For me, I need that vapor, so I take very long drags - 5+ seconds each. There is a learning curve when you first start vaping, but it's also a lot of fun. Good luck!! And be sure to ask any questions you come up with.

There might be a few people here who would disagree with you about that one. -
Fantastic!! I am thrilled!!! We need more of this kind of stuff to get in the news...written by people as intelligent as this lady is.

I felt the same way the first time I went down to 0 nic. It just totally blew me away. After all those years of smoking and all the failed attempts at quitting and I went down to 0 nic after only 3 months of vaping. I couldn't believe it!! Like I said before, I did go back to nic a few times, but it was easy to go back to 0 again. And now I'm sure I only use the nic because of wanting to use up the liquids in my backup stock. I only use them now and then and only for a flavor change. I would be able to survive a ban easily enough - as long as I can get or make the attys.

You should get a lot more vapor with the LR atty. That's why I'm hooked on the silly things.
