My sympathies, kitsune. I have an aunt who just finished her treatments about a year ago and is doing well.

Welcome to Vapor Talk. I really can't add much either. I do think you'd be better off with the eGo though. Although the battery is thicker than a regular 510 model, it isn't too thick. Because it lasts so much longer between charges, it's a much better way to go. The "e-juice" is the liquid you put into the atomizer. That's what heats up and produces the vapor. You can buy pre-filled cartridges to use, but that gets rather expensive and most of them don't taste the best. It's much more economical to buy the "juice" and refill yourself. I don't use the filler in the cartridges, but directly drip the "juice" onto the atomizer. I know it's a lot to take in all at once, but just hang in there. It will all come together. Really, it will. Just ask any questions you have and we'll help you out. That's what we're here for.

Congrats on placing your orders. I'm looking forward to hearing what you think when you get your stuff.

LOL - This time last year, I was just starting to vape. I was having a hard time spending so much money all at once on supplies, AND I was trying so many devices. My hubby said I could consider it my birthday/anniversay/Christmas present if it would make me feel better. It did! By the time January rolled around I had figured out that it wasn't really costing me any more than smoking had, so I was okay with spending the money. And it is like Christmas, getting all those packages in the mail. And if they come a day or two apart, it's like Christmas several days in a row! I'm even excited for you!

Welcome to Vapor Talk. The eGo and/or tornado are great devices (same thing, different name). They aren't much bigger than a cigarette, fits nicely in your hand or can be carried in a pocket. They use the 510 atomizer which is awesome for vapor production. Although, I do recommend the low resistance atomizers (LR atty) because they produce so much more vapor and I do love my vapor. I use my eGo/tornado for about half of the day and my Black Silver Bullet the other half of the day. The Black Silver Bullet is much bigger and takes an 18650 battery, which holds a charge for about two days. If you want to someday try 6 volt vaping, you can use two RCR123A batteries in it. Plus, you can purchase the pass through for it, plug that into the wall and vape at 5 volt. I use mine all three ways. (be aware that you cannot use a LR atty with either 5 or 6 volt - it would have to be a regular 510 atomizer) I would suggest direct dripping with a drip tip. You can add drops of your e-liquid into the hole of the drip tip and not have to mess with removing a cartridge to drip and there is no refilling the cartridge all the time like when you use the filler that comes in cartridges. All you would need for a day of vaping is your device and a bottle of eliquid and you're good to go. None of the liquids taste just like a cigarette - mainly because you are no longer lighting something on fire and breathing in the burning smoke. Vaping has a much cleaner taste to it. But there are some liquids that do taste somewhat like tobacco. There are many liquids to choose from, so I suggest trying several until you find the one that works best for you. Several places even carry a "marlboro" flavor. You might want to start with those. I also have to tell you about backups. You NEED backups. You need backups for your backups, too. I recommend at least 3 batteries. You don't want to be vaping and have a battery die and be left with only one. You can't vape while the one is charging. That is a very bad thing, because then you will want to smoke while that battery is charging. And you have to wait a few days to get a new battery delivered. If you have 3 and one dies, you're still good to go. Then order some backup batteries. It's not a bad thing to have even more as backups. You'll also need to have several atomizers on hand. They tend to last about a month, but you do get some that would only last a week or so. You need to have LOTS of them on hand so you never have the last one burn out and have none on hand. That's a bad thing because you'll be back to smoking while waiting for new ones to come in the mail. Same thing with liquid. Keep plenty of that on hand, too. And a second charger (as, you guessed it, a backup) is a good idea, too. Just in case. Good luck with whatever you choose. Let us know how it's going and ask any and all questions you have.

I'm so happy for you!!!!

Welcome to Vapor Talk and congratulations!

The Spade. But only because of the battery life not being what I expected. The DSE905. I didn't like the cut off. The Indulgence. Not as good as I was expecting.
-
I may have been guilty of this...a couple of times...in the past. But hey, a person needs backups, right? I agree with Kragax, it's just crazy at first. I had an order coming in just about every week in those first few months, but it's slowed down now. I tried liquids from several places and tried several different devices before settling on what works the best for me.

LOL - I couldn't help myself, Uma. Don't worry about the mess. I'm used to dealing with big dog drool, so your drool is no problem. Besides, I think everyone here has done a little drooling for a unit or two or ten. LOL The buzz sounds like an awesome unit and since you can get it in purple, I think it would be the perfect device for you.
-
Welcome to Vapor Talk. Uma's right. Get as many different things as you can so that you can decide for yourself what works and doesn't work for you. A lot of people really like the cartomizers, but I'm not one of them. We can tell you what things are, but you are the only one who can test them out and see how they do for you. Don't hesitate to ask any questions. You'll get plenty of answers. Good luck!!

It's sounding like the buzz is a really sweat device. And Uma...please quit drooling all over the forum...I had to wipe my screen off to see that purple buzz. LMAO How long before you have one of those in your hands? LOL

I'm so happy for you!!! Can't wait to hear what you think of it.

If you vape 24mg, then yes, I'd buy the 48mg and the doubler and mix them equally for a 24mg liquid. Yes, it works. I got 48mg and cut it four times for 12mg. Worked great for me and lasted a very long time. I've never had them add sweetener. I didn't even know until lately that they would add it. I've tried several of their flavors and they are all good. It all depends on what you like and don't like. Their coffee was good, but not as good as Mr. Bean. To me, anyway. I never knew what Geoff's blend was either, but now I think I might have to try it. That sounds really good. Nope, their attys are not Joye. Or at least that's what the site used to say. I haven't looked for awhile. I think the last I saw, he said he was going to quit carrying any "hardware" at all.
-
I told the dr. I quit smoking. It's true. I don't smoke, I vape. I didn't say I was nicotine free, but then they don't ask that.
-
You described it so perfectly!!! I first tried that flavor back in December when it was called Atomic Fireball. It was the first pre-made juice I could taste. It became my all day vape and has stayed my all day vape ever since. I can't go long without it.
-
Welcome to Vapor Talk! The amount of liquid you use depends on how much you vape. I like to vape and vape often. I go through about 30ml of liquid in a week or 120ml of liquid in a month. On average. Most folks don't go through that much, but some go through more.
-
My Silver Bullet is either in my hand or standing on a flat surface near me. My eGo is either in my hand on in my pocket. I have a case logic case (originally for flash drives) that I put extra attys, batteries, and a couple of bottles of juice to take with me on road trips. Kitsune will probably be in here soon with what she uses. I like her idea a lot. Similar to what you use, vaportlight.

I do just fine vaping with no flavor, but I'm sure most would disagree with me on that one. I don't think I've tried with just PG, but have with a mix of PG and VG and it's okay with me. When I first went down on nic levels, I wasn't really able to taste the flavors at all, so of course I didn't notice a difference as I went down. Now I add my own flavoring and add more than most mention, but that's because I have a problem tasting them. I don't think it's because of the nic level. But I could be wrong on that. I'm sure you'll get a more knowledgeable answer from others.

After smoking for 34 years and then switching to vaping, I couldn't taste any of the flavors at all. None of them had any taste for me. Most still don't. But I kept vaping. It really didn't bother me too much. I admit that I wanted to be able to taste them and know what all the others were talking about, but I was still satisfied with vaping. I started adding flavorings to the pre-made liquids on my own and can now taste them just fine. For some reason though, I'm not that big on the flavors. I tend to keep coming back to just two flavors and switching between those. But, you don't have to vape a flavor at all. I've used just PG and VG and vaped that - at 0 nic - and that was even okay with me. Or, you can add just a few drops of flavor to that mix and have a slight taste, too. Until you wean yourself off of nic though, you can just find one flavor that works for you and use that. You don't have to have a whole bunch of different flavors. It's all up to you and what you like.

Welcome to Vapor Talk. I've never heard of South Beach. Do you know what kind of device you bought from them?
-
Congratulations!!! Wonderful story. Thanks so much for sharing it with us. We need all the good news we can get. And just think of all the people you are helping now. Fantastic!!

There have been times since going to 0 nic that I felt the need for some nic. Those times I go back to 12mg nic and do fine with that for awhile before going back to 0 nic. But...if it's TH you're looking for, then yes, adding a couple of drops of menthol does that. I learned that trick from kitsune.

Okay I Know What I Want, I Just Need Help On Setting It Up....
nana replied to asmcriminal's topic in New Vapers Forum
Besides the places mentioned above there is Totally Wicked (they sell it as the tornado, but it's the same thing), Create Vapor, PureSmoker, and JantyUSA. Just to give you a few other places that sell them. edited because I didn't proof read before hitting "post" -
Welcome to Vapor Talk and congrats on getting the eGo. Now you know what vaping is really all about! I've had a lot of different liquids from Tasty Vapor, but never Root Beer Float. I think they do an excellent job on (most) of their flavors. Taste is such an individual thing. There may be someone who would trade with you just to try it out.
