  1. Congratulations Jeff!! Amazing how fast that 3 years went, huh? Even though I don't say much anymore, this is (and always has been) my one and only forum.
  2. One more note of encouragement here. I can't add anything to the wonderful advice that's already been given here, but I will say that it does get better - every day. I was a smoker for 34 years, too. As of six days ago, I've been smoke free for 3 years - thanks to vaping and the Vapor Talk family.
  3. I'll jump on the Twist bandwagon, too. I like my Lavatube, but since getting the Twist, I don't use the Lavatube much anymore. It is better when I need more battery time, but for around home, the Twist is my go-to device.
  4. In two months I will be celebrating my 3rd anniversary of being smoke free - after smoking analogs for 34 years. I have no desire to quit vaping, but if anything happened that I had to quit (see above mentioned government stuff), I could do it. No way I would ever go back to analogs either. Vaping makes me happy and everyone around here wants me to stay happy (something I don't understand ), so I plan to keep vaping. But...I could see myself quitting, too. I've gone for hours without even thinking about vaping and I never did that with analogs. I'm also known to vape a lot. If I'm sitting in front of the computer or the TV, I chain vape. I think the least I should do is vape for the same number of years I smoked. Seems like the fair thing to do. I've got 31 years to go. I'll decide then.
  5. Note to self...proof read before posting. Yes, I meant 3 hours.
  6. I'm a heavy vaper and I have the mini LT. I go through batteries in 3 - tops. I only use it at my desk, in front of the computer, where my charger and extra batteries are.
  7. I can't, but it would be so cool. My 3 year anniversary of being smoke free is October 13th. Would be a terrific way to celebrate. I guess you'll have to do my celebrating for me, Mark.
  8. Congratulations to Dr J's dad and Jeff grandfather!! That's great!!
  9. Welcome Home, Doctor J!!! It's been a long time. You've got a lot of catching up to do. Good luck with that. I just about can't keep up any more.
  10. Welcome to Vapor Talk. It looks like you're on the right track.

    Hey!

Welcome to Vapor Talk! And congratulations on vaping full time!!
  12. What an amazing and interesting thread. One of those things where once you start reading, you just can't stop. LOL
  13. I have to agree. Brian has a good selection, great products, great prices, fast shipping, and fantastic customer service!! Now I just need to remember to start calling him Mark instead. LOL
  14. I can go through a 30 ml bottle in a week - easy. And if I'm vaping at 5v too much, I can go through it a little faster than that.
  15. When I first started vaping, we didn't have any 5v and we didn't have any LR attys or cartos. And yet, I started vaping and never looked back. It was that good. But then came the 5v devices and we all thought we were in heaven! Of course, back then, we had to be plugged in to the wall to get that 5v, but it was worth it. When they came out with LR attys, I thought it was very close to a 5v vape. Not quite the same, but close. It was so much better for me that I knew I would never go back to the regular attys. Now I own a lava tube and switch back and forth between it, my provape and my eGo. There is a difference in that the 5v vape is hotter and you do get more vapor, but I don't think it's so much more that I would call it "superior". Just my opinion. I use my lava tube or provape when I'm sitting at the computer or watching tv, but my eGo is better for carrying around in my pocket when I'm up and about and doing "stuff". I wouldn't say that you "need" to go to 5v. If you're happy with what you have, that's great - that's more important than anything else. If you "want" to try the 5v and for a reasonable price, I'd suggest you try the lava tube.
  16. Not exactly. LOL I just have heavier devices. Okay, I weighed them to show you the difference. Here goes...the eGo 650 mah is 1.5 oz; the eGo 1000 mah is 1.8 oz; the mini lava tube is 2.4 oz; the lava tube is 3.5 oz.; the mark's mod is 3.6 oz; the provape is 4.0 oz; the Ali'i is 5.2 oz; and the reo grand is 6.1 oz. These weights are all with batteries and LR 510 attys and the eGos with the cones. {I don't have my silver bullet here so can't weigh it, but I know it's one of the heavier ones. I don't have an eGo twist yet, so don't know it's weight} So, as you can see, since I'm used to using the heavier devices, the lava tube feels like a bit of a lightweight to me.
  17. Welcome to Vapor Talk, Mark! My next order will include an eGo twist.
  18. I have a full size and a mini lava tube. My full size measure just a hair under 5 inches and my mini measures 3 3/4 inches. I bought them to use at a higher voltage, so have never used them at 3.7 - however at 4.5 to 5.0, I'm getting around 18 hours of useage time on the full size. The mini doesn't last very long for me. Again, I'm using it at 4.5 to 5.0 and only getting about 3, maybe 4 hours of useage time. These are estimated times. One thing to consider is how much and how heavy you vape. If I'm sitting here at the computer, I tend to chain vape - which means I go through batteries faster. I don't mean to disagree with anyone else's opinion, but in my opinion, the lava tube is not heavy, it's fairly lightweight. The silver bullet is a heavyweight and I hear the Provari is even heavier than the silver bullet. I don't have a Provari - yet.
  19. The lavatube would be the answer to almost everything you want - except for the size. It is taller than the eGo 1000 mah. The silver bullet would only be one voltage and it also is taller than the eGo 1000 mah.
  20. Awww....you're just too sweet, Uma.
  21. In my book, there is no such thing as "too many" of anything when it comes to vaping supplies.
  22. From one of those "longer members", good to see you again.
  23. I almost feel like I'm in the wrong place. LOL Overboard? I won't even mention what I have...or what I've tried and no longer have. I'm sticking to my orginial train of thought...backups, backups, and more backups - and then backups for my backups.
  24. Oh Uma!! That is beautiful!! Congratulations again! Great job, Mark!! As always...a work of art!!!
