  1. Welcome Dave. I'm new, too, so don't have much experience with this. I have several appliances and can say the only reason for me so far is that I was looking for the best one for me - not because they wore out. Each one I tried was better than the one before. I have the VP2 and I'm sure you'll be as pleased with it as I am. I also have the Joye510 and love it. I can't decide which is actually better. Sometimes I think I may be getting better vapor from the 510, but I am only on the second day of the VP2, so can't be sure yet. Also, I'm waiting - impatiently - to be able to order some low bridge 801 attys to see if that makes a difference with the VP2. I was like you and got the first PV I found and it was enough to make me know this thing would work for me, but I was wanting something a bit better so did a lot of research. If I had more patience, I might not have gone thru as many devices I have, but that's okay with me. I probably spent more to begin with than I would have needed to if I'd waited a bit, but not more than I would have on analogs really. And by doing the math, I'm sure this thing will be much cheaper than analogs. I figure if I spend $10. a month to replace attys and $20 to $30 for juice, that's about it. On average. I've found that I want to have a good supply of each on hand (and some extra batteries), but I'm sure it will average out at about that. You've come to the right place to have your questions answered. These people have been a big help to me. And they are a lot of fun, too.
  2. I wish I could add to this topic. I'm still jealous that you all can taste those wonderful flavors! I still can't taste a difference. Food is starting to taste different to me and I can smell more things now (even the bad smells), but just not with the e-juice. I've tried all of the samples from Johnson Creek (which, by the way seems to be a great company with fast shipping) and I think just about all of the flavors from Awesome Vapor and have now tried some from Wordup. I seem to notice a difference in "feel" of the juices from the different places, but not really any taste. I'm a Pepsi drinker, so would really love that one. Well, if I could taste it.
  3. You look so happy! Vaping away. lol Which do you like the best?
  4. I was afraid of this. Just when I thought I was done trying new stuff, now this. Oh well. At least they're coming out with better stuff all the time.
  5. Congrats!! Great news.
  6. I'm so glad I read this post. I've been wondering if it was worth the time and effort to clean the attys. I also want to keep things simple and so far it hasn't seemed all that simple to me. I really liked your comments TheSmokingMan. I think I will do the same thing you're doing. I bought the VP2 because I liked the idea of more vapor and the longer battery life. To be able to take only it, an extra battery, an extra atty, and juice with me when I'm on the road sounds great. I've been taking so much more so far - a couple of e-cigs, several batteries, a car charger, extra carts, etc. I even ended up buying an adapter so I could use my pass thru in the car. I tried the different fillers for the carts and finally started dripping - which worked so much better and cut down on some of the stuff I take with me. It may have taken me some time, but I think I'm finally figuring this all out and deciding what's good for me. I've wondered for awhile now if I'm vaping way too much, but after reading this, I know I don't go through that much juice - although I do seem to vape a lot more than I smoked. I've looked for info on what others are doing, how much equipment they keep, etc. I really appreciate everyone telling what they do as that has helped me out a lot. It would have saved me a lot if I'd read all of this before ordering all the stuff I have, but it was still worth it. I'd decided it might be a good idea for me to keep several extras attys and batteries on hand and now I read that others do it. At first I only had one extra battery and one extra atty, but after having some quit on me, I know I need more. I thought maybe it was just me doing something wrong, but now I don't think so.
  7. SteveD1, I have tried Menthol and yes, I can taste that. More like mint, but good. I just really want to taste all those yummy flavors everyone is talking about. I can't wait!! Vari, glad to hear I'm not the only one!
  8. I think I don't want to hear this. I've already spent way too much money on all of my supplies. Now I'll probably have to get even more? Maybe I can wait awhile. Maybe.
  9. Congrats guys!! I'm very new to the forum (okay completely new to anything to do with a forum and don't know what I'm doing) but already know your names as ones with great advice. Thanks for that.
  10. One more opinion. I smoked for 34 years and had no problem whatsoever giving them up when I started vaping. I don't think I really wanted to quit, but after giving vaping a try, I didn't want to go back. And that was from day one. There was no adjustment period for me at all. I'm one of the ones who can't stand the smell of smoke anymore and that is just amazing to me. I've had a problem here and there with atomizers and batteries and had panic attacks thinking I couldn't vape and might have to resort to an analog. My solution to that was to buy a whole bunch of supplies. lol I really can't taste the difference between all the flavors of juice - and would really like to - but even that isn't a problem for me. I do hear that someday I may be able to, but even if I don't, I'll stick with the vaping. I feel so much better, can breath again, etc. And it's only been a month for me.
  11. Thanks for this post everyone. I've been looking for this kind of info. Perfect timing.
  12. Thanks for posting this one. I had no idea what my first ecig was, but now I do. It was this exact same model and number. I didn't like the fact that it came with only one battery and one atomizer and that I had to send in the whole thing to get extras. There was no way I could wait until the replacement came, so gave up on that one. Besides that, I felt like I was going to suck my lungs out of my chest trying to get a good hit from it. And the vapor was almost nonexistant. That's why I started to look for something better. I didn't know it was a cheap knockoff. Now that I do, I can tell some other people that have this same thing and they can switch over or replace their parts. Thanks again for the post.
