Welcome to the forum WVfem. And welcome to the wonderful world of vaping. I'm fairly new to vaping so don't know that I can give an "educated" answer, but I can tell you about my experience so far. I have used the DSE901, the DSE801, and the Joye510, and now I'm trying some mods. I would tell you that you made the perfect choice with the 510 to start. I just love mine. I don't use the first two any more. I've actually given those away. I smoked for 34 years, tried several ways to quit, and in the end nothing worked. I believe that is partly because I didn't really want to quit. I had been at least trying to cut back some (because of the cost) before finding out about the ecig. I jumped right on this bandwagon as soon as I heard about it. I haven't had a cigarette in almost 2 months now. It took me all of about 2 seconds to quit. So, for me it was a great way to quit. Even if the ecigs are not sold as a "quit smoking device". I believe that most people who start vaping, quit smoking. As far as it being healthier, I'd have to shout YES. I feel so much better now. I breathe better, I have more energy, I don't get winded, I can taste food better, my sinuses are clearer, my sense of smell is better. I'd have to say that all of that is healthier. And not inhaling all of those awful chemicals that go with cigarette smoking has GOT to be healthier. Addiction? Hmmm. Well....Ummm.... Kind of? You are still addicted to the nicotine. But I've cut way back on that and have even been vaping 0 nicotine quite a bit. But the addiction part for me is more of the fun I'm having. : ) Oh yeah, you might get addicted to this forum, too. Good luck with the vaping. Feel free to ask any and all questions. You'll find a whole bunch of very supportive and knowledgable people here to help you out.

@ BirdDog - How did you know? LOL

Well then, Happy Birthday, Ray. What a great present that will be. I got my 510 on my birthday and it was the best present! I think it's the only present I've ever recieved that I use and completely enjoy on a daily basis.

Wow!! What a set up. I just won't let my husband see that pic though, cause he'll want something like that, too. But I feel even safer now, knowing how well we're being protected. Just gives a person a warm and fuzzy feeling, huh? Good work guys!!!

Thanks for the info. And thanks for protecting us, Chris.

Out of the several different ecigs I started with, I like my 510 the best. I haven't ordered anything from cignot.com (as a matter of fact I don't think I've ever heard of them), but if Stubear has, I'd trust that. And him.

I am so sorry about the accident, but I'm so thankful everyone is okay. I know how some people drive in the snow and it's really scary. We got quite a bit of snow here yesterday, too, so I just stayed inside - comparing all my vaping equipment. I hope you're calmed down by now and that today goes a whole lot better for you.

Welcome to forum Theaxiom. Glad to hear you want to start vaping. I've never used Blu so can't give you a personal opinion on it, but please read through some of the posts on here. I don't think there is even one person would recommend them. I'm sure other people will start popping up on here to tell you all about it.

Way to go!!! I really hate dishonesty and stupidy - both of which that salesman showed. I think if you're going to be selling something, you should know the product inside and out and be honest about it. It's good to know there are people out there who call the liars and cheats out. I would do the same thing. But really, call security? Unbelievable!!!

Well, Jeff, I really hate to spoil that image, so I just won't mention that I am only 4 1/2 years older than you are. Okay? Oh, I am starting to get a few gray hairs though. I'm trying to picture the lady you picture walking my Great Danes down the street. It's an interesting picture.

My Dad Was Vaping In The Doctor's Office!
nana replied to jmhester's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I'd never have the nerve to do that, jj, but I agree with you. It has to be better than analogs. I can't believe the changes in me since I started vaping - all good things - and it has to be because of quitting the analogs. Hey, I even changed in that I started reading, then joining, then actually participating in this forum. So far, it's all been good. -
There's my answer!!!! I just need more voltage to taste the flavors!! Just one more "reason" I should get a VP/PT, right? Hey, I'm always looking for excuses, oh, I mean "reasons". LOL

Just for the record, I am not even close to 80 yet. Well, closer than I want to be, but not close yet. My parents aren't even 80 yet. But I do have a 92 year old grandmother. It does seem a bit odd to have people from this forum call me Nana, but I didn't know what else to use for a name. I looked around before I joined and no one seemed to use their real name, so I didn't either. I didn't know how these things worked and couldn't think of anything, so I just used what my grandkids call me. That's Nana. Now it seems like a not so bright thing to do, but....

That's exactly how it happened for me! I've been smoke free for almost 2 months now and I've had no desire whatsoever to go back. I'm positive it will stay that way now. It looks like most of your questions have been answered for now, so I won't add to it. Not that I have enough experience to answer them anyway. LOL I haven't come up with a good number on the attys yet. I'd been waiting for someone to get the LB 801 attys in so I could try them, so when Arno got some in, I ordered 3 - his limit. I want to order more when VT gets them in, too. I was thinking I wanted at least 6 on hand, but don't know how low to let it go before getting more. So, these questions helped me out, too. Thanks for asking them.

Poor Stubear. Are you feeling better today? I've read through this post twice. I think I laughed harder the second time than I did the first. Isn't it amazing what we did as kids and even more amazing that we lived through it? LOL Some more than others.

This is one that I do know something about. I have ordered from Tasty Vapor. I started with the Atomic Fireball and Chocolate in 12mg nic. At the same time I got Cherry, Cinnamon, and Orange in the 0 nic. I love the Atomic Fireball. It's great. The chocolate is so-so. I mixed the cherry 0 nic with the chocolate 12mg and got a wonderful flavor that tastes a bit like chocolate covered cherries - which I happen to love. I don't vape that all of the time, but it's good for something different. Of course by mixing (half and half) the 0 nic with the 12mg nic, I'm actually bringing it down to 6mg nic, but that's what I wanted to do. I'm working on getting down to 0 all the time. I have vaped all 3 of the 0 nic flavors alone and they are good. The orange almost has a chemical sort of taste to it. I'm not sure how to explain it. It does taste like orange, but I don't care for it as much alone. I'm trying to decide what I could mix it with to improve the flavor, but haven't come up with a good idea yet. I haven't been able to vape all day with 0, but have gone up to 3 hours on it. Then I have to have some nic again. Since I liked and could actually taste these flavors, I ordered the Almond in 12 mg nic and the Cherry Lemonade in 12 mg nic. The Almond tastes just like Almond, but isn't a great flavor to vape. At least not for me and not by itself. I want to mix it with something else, but haven't done it yet. I'm thinking it would be good with the Cherry. I was really anxious to try the Cherry Lemonade because it sounded so good. I really like both Cherry and Lemon flavors, so it seemed perfect to me. But...I really dislike it. I mean REALLY dislike it. I would say it has a chemcial taste to it. It smells like a cheap air freshener to me. This isn't to say someone else wouldn't like it and I am in no way knocking Geoff. I've had a very good experience with him, he's awesome to order from, and has great service. It's just that I don't like this one. I don't want to waste the juice, so have tried to mix it with something else, but so far nothing is working out for me. Another thing for me is that up until I got my first order from Geoff, I couldn't really taste a difference in any of the flavors. Still really can't. I could tell a difference in the feel. JC felt creamier, Awesome Vapor felt thinner or lighter. I know that probably doesn't make sense, but it's the best way I can explain it. I can still tell a difference in the juices, but it's still more of feel than a taste. And I do switch back and forth between them to see if I can taste yet. And so far I've been able to taste all of them I have from Tasty Vapor. It's just the Cherry Lemondade one that I don't like. I have wondered if my taste buds are changing again and maybe that's why I don't like the new ones as much. But the first ones still taste the same to me, so that probably isn't it. I think the only thing a person can do is try them and see. I would recommend Tasty Vapor overall, but I can't recommend the Cherry Lemonade flavor - but only because I don't like it. It could also be that his flavors are stronger than any others I've tried. Since my taste buds aren't great, that may be why I can taste the stronger flavors. That's just a thought. I don't know that they are actually stronger. But if they are, and if someone else can taste better, these might be too much for them. But you could always mix them with something else to bring the taste down, too. These are just my thoughts and experiences with Tasty Vapor. Probably no one else would feel the same way about them that I do. I just thought it was something I could share.

LOL - This could get very interesting.

Well, that's what everyone is here for...support. Good luck. If it helps any, there are quite a lot of us here that made the switch with no problem. There are others that didn't though and yet they made the switch easier than they thought they would. It's different for everyone. For me, when I started, I only had one battery and had to resort to analogs while my one battery charged. I didn't like that, but as soon as I got extra batteries I was smoke free. I still worry about not having enough batteries or enough attys or enough ejuice. I'm finally getting stocked up to where I don't think there will be a problem though. I wish you the very best of luck. We're here if you need us. I'll bet that includes Jeff, too, even if he's having some doubts. LOL

Well, I hope you all decide it's attys or I've been making even more mistakes than I thought.
-
Don't worry about the posting. I've been doing this forum thing about 2 months now and I'm still learning about it. I've made my fair share of mistakes and will probably continue to make them for awhile. But in the mean time, I'm having a lot of fun being part of the forum, I'm learning a lot, and I feel like I'm making some friends. I hope it's the same for you. Until then, just laugh at your mistakes. (because several other people might laugh at them, too.)

Welcome Link. I've only been vaping for 2 months and haven't had the problem you're talking about, so I can't help you with your questions. It looks like others have jumped in with some help though. You're in good hands. I just wanted to welcome you to the group. Good luck with your problem.

How absolutely adorable!! She is so precious. Enjoy her all you possibly can. They grow so fast. Thanks for sharing the picture.

Excellent review.

Nice review. You did a great job. I hadn't heard of the Chuck before either. I think I have enough stuff now (unless I really do get the VP/PT), but I do like seeing the reviews.

Welcome to the forum, Deko. I smoked for 34 years and gave up the cigarettes just as easily as you did. Much to my surprise. I've been vaping for 2 months and I will not - ever - go back to smoking. No matter what. I thought I loved smoking, but that was nothing compared to this. I really do love vaping. Since I'm fairly new to this, I'm by no means an expert, but thought I'd let you know what's worked for me. I had the 801 before getting my 510 and in my opinion it doesn't compare at all. I love the 510 and even though the 801 worked for me in the beginning, I couldn't go back to it. I have the VP2 and am using my 510 atty on it now and it's so much better than it was with the 801. This week I ordered some of the low bridge 801 atty's to use with the VP2 because I've heard so much good about them. I'm anxious to find out for myself. I don't know if the low bridge atty's would be better on the regular batteries or not, but I'm sure someone here can tell you. Like I said, I'm not the expert, but I'm afraid you might be disappointed if you go to the 801. But that's just my opinion.
