  1. Just so you know, jj, the pyramid tea bags are different. They are more like a mesh than the regular ones. You can use the regular tea bags, too, but the ptb's are different. I've tried both, but mostly I direct drip. I found the ptb's at Wal-Mart, but they are hard to spot. I almost missed them.
  2. Congratulations Keenan!! I'm proud of you! And everything else TheSmokingMan said. I look forward to all your posts everyday. (and not just because I agree with everything you say)
  3. Rant, Keenan, rant!!! President? Hmmm. A President with common sense? Hmmm.
  4. Yep, that's the answer. Me too! Great minds think alike.
  5. Good information. Thanks. I hadn't thought about this. So does the same apply to the bottles of ejuice? Should they be stored in a cool, dry place, too?
  6. I don't understand them wanting to ban ecgis. I don't understand them thinking they are dangerous. I don't understand them wanting to regulate them (with the exception of those who are underage). But then I guess I don't understand a lot of what our government wants to do. Those of us who have found ecigs will all attest to how much better we feel, how much more energy we have, how our senses are coming back, and how very happy we are to be non-smokers now. The sad thing is that these people who want to ban them don't know anything about them. All they really need to know is that there is no dangerous second hand smoke like with analogs and nicotine is the only thing in them that could possibly be a problem. There are none of the other dangerous things in them like there is in analogs. Good grief, there isn't even the offensive smell that you get with analogs. And if they took the time to really look into ecigs, they'd find that a whole bunch of us are working our way down to 0 nicotine. That would even take away the possible danger of nicotine. What is really strange to me is that don't "regulate" the amount of nicotine we took in as smokers so why in the world do they think they need to do that now? We had the right to smoke, we had the right to use the strongest cigarettes they made, and we could smoke as many of them as we wanted. So why now is it so important to regulate ecigs? It has to be because they aren't really concerned about our health or our safety, but only about the amount of money they are losing in taxes because so many people are turning away from the highly taxed analogs. There really isn't any other answer. Well, other than they want complete and utter control over every single aspect of our lives.
  7. Same thing with me. My numbers might look good, but I made that when I hadn't purchased all the stuff I have now. I have the same problem with that pesky little "submit" button. I added it all up not long ago and figured that I was about to break even...then...oh well, I'm sure I'll enjoy the VP/PT when it gets here. And maybe in another month I'll break even.
  8. I agree Dave. Homework is the least they should do.
  9. And I thought I was young to be a grandma at 38! LOL I have a son-in-law who is only 4 years younger than me. I have to admit that I was a bit surprised to read this post and see how many people seem to think just like me. It's refreshing.
  10. I really don't know much about facebook. I do have an account, but I only have family as friends. I don't post anything there, just watch to see what others are saying. Once in a great while comment on something someone else has said. If I added Vapor Talk, wouldn't everyone here be able to see all the boring things my family is saying - and vice versa? Many of the people who are my "friends" play all those games and things on facebook and I'm just not into that kind of thing. Until I joined the forum, I said I just didn't have time for that sort of thing and couldn't be on the computer that much. Now I spend a whole bunch of time reading and commenting on the forum. I guess I made time for what was important for me. Anyway...is there a way to make a new facebook account so I can keep the two separate? Like I said, I really don't know much about facebook.
  11. Welcome to the forum and the wonderful world of vaping. It is a whole lot better than smoking ever was. And after a while vaping, you do wonder why you ever smoked - Keenan's right about that. I can't give advice about the juice because my taste buds really haven't come fully back to life yet. I am beginning to get "hints" of flavor now though. It doesn't bother me at all, because I just love to vape. I think you made an excellent choice by going with the 510. It's my favorite. And I have tried several different models. I got my spade last week. It's basically a different kind of battery to use with your 510 atomizer. The one your kit will come with is a small battery that you screw into the charger to recharge. The Spade is like a "cover" that you slip regular looking batteries into. The Spade batteries charge on a charger, but you take them out of the "cover" to charge. Was that clear as mud or what? The batteries that come with the kit only hold a charge for a couple of hours, the Spade batteries last longer. The atomizer you'll get with your kit will fit on the Spade. Now that I've probably completely confused you, I'll leave you to wonder why you ever asked in the first place. LOL Perhaps someone will come up with a better explanation soon.
  12. Well it's nice to know I can brighten someone's day.
  13. I agree with you completely Keenan. My husband and I have been saying exactly the same things. It's their business, not ours. It doesn't have anything to do with us. They are making such a big deal about this and didn't make this big of a deal out of what happened in the house a few years ago. Okay, obviously it was reported, but they tried to make it out like it was nothing. I am of the opinion that if it's the president and it's happening in OUR white house, we have the right to be upset about that. Not so much for a guy who plays golf for a living. I don't believe it's okay for a man to cheat on his wife, but I don't think the whole world needs to stick their collective noses into it.
  14. I agree with you. All the way. I tried to say more, but you already pointed it all out.
  15. LOL No, but I'm vaping my new pumpkin pie juice from Wordupecig. (and I can taste it! - slightly) If it makes you feel any better, I had my kids very young. I was a grandma for the first time at 38. And it's all my fault for using Nana for a nickname instead of something clever and witty. LOL
  16. What? Wait. Vaping isn't a life? Huh? But I thought... Well... hmmm.
  17. So very glad to hear the good news. I'm happy you are both home, that she is on the mend, and that she won't read your post. Have a nice snuggle and I'll be looking forward to hearing from you tomorrow. I (and I'm sure everyone else) have missed your posts.
  18. I don't know. It could be. I don't use the carts, I direct drip. I've gone back and forth between my LB and my 510 a few times, but I'm still liking the vapor better with the 510. But like I said, I just got them today. I did get the adapter so I could use the 510 and ordered the LB so I could compare them both. I want to find what works the best for me so that I can stick with it.
  19. Now I'm feeling bad for ruining Jeff's image of me. Go ahead and picture me that way Jeff. I don't mind. Would it help to get the image back by telling you I've been making homemade bread and cookies today?
  20. Well, I just got my LB attys today. I've been working on one for a couple of hours now and I'm afriad I have to say I am not impressed. I think I agree with jm in that I like my 510 atty on the VP2 better. I swear I'm getting a lot more vapor with it than the LB. I feel like I have to work a lot harder to get any vapor at all, plus it doesn't seem as thick or dense. Maybe it's just because it's a new atty and maybe it's just because I'm used to the 510. I know an awful lot of people think the LB is much better.
  21. "Not vaping"?....... Not familiar with that term !!! LOL - I like that one, vapemudgeon. Those are some neat ideas for carrying cases. I liked TheSmokingMan's idea so well that I started doing that when I got my VP2. Before I got my VP2, I used the box my DES801 came in and loaded it up with ejuice bottles, extra batteries, an extra atomizer, tweezers, and my pass thru. I kept the car charger in the car with the adapter. It seemed to be too much stuff and too much hassle for me. I like things simple. That's why I loved SmokingMan's way the first time I saw it.
  22. I've seen mentions in several posts about people being light vapers, heavy vapers, and I've even seen mention of chain vapers. So, I'm wondering what everyone considers themselves to be. I have no idea what I'd be. I was a 1 to 1 1/2 pack a day smoker, but I feel like maybe I vape more. It's hard to tell. When I smoked, I'd light up a cigarette and smoke it until it was gone. Then it might be a half hour to an hour or a bit longer before I lit up again. Now I vape a couple of drops and might put it down or might vape a couple more drops. When I've gotten a new unit, I know I vape a lot with it - putting it through it's paces. I have also noticed that when I get busy, I can go for a couple of hours without vaping. But if I'm sitting at my computer or watching t.v., I'm almost a chain vaper. I'd sure be interested in how others vaper, if anyone feels like sharing their experiences.
