  1. I'm sure you will love the 510. I love mine and from what I hear, so does everyone else. You can't go wrong with that model - in my opinion. The waiting for it is the hard part. And believe me, after vaping a short time, you will no longer be out of breath.
  2. Welcome to the forum, NavyLight. I may be wrong as it's been awhile since I ordered my passthrough, but I don't think mine came with an atomizer. Mine is for my 510 though, so that might make a difference. I don't think a person can go wrong with the 510, but every person is different. Hopefully you can find something that works well for your father-in-law. Switching to vaping was very easy for me, but I still get frustrated with the dripping, etc., too. Good luck with the new adventure into vaping!
  3. As the others have already said, you aren't doing anything wrong. You do have to add juice often. Depending on how much you vape. It's a lot of trial and error. Everyone is different in how they do. Just ask any questions if you don't understand. Everyone here is great and more than willing to help. Welcome to the forum!
  4. Great job on the review!! I have the 510 adapter for mine, too. I seem to switch back and forth between the 510 and 801 to see which one I like better. They both have their good points so I haven't decided for sure yet, but I think I like the 510 just a bit better.
  5. @Keenan - I had a feeling you'd get a good laugh out of that one. I haven't laughed that hard, for that long, to the point of tears, for a very long time. @Brian - I know what you mean. I remember when Danny Thomas died. I was working with a bunch of teenagers at the time (and I was only like 29 then) and said I'd just heard that he died. Every single one of those snot nosed kids looked at me like I had gone stark raving mad and asked, "Who's Danny Thomas". Now really, I wasn't that old, but I knew who he was. And now that was 20 years ago. HUH? My husband and I were talking about the music the other day. We had just heard a song on the radio that was popular when we were teens. I mentioned that the songs we listened to then that were referred to as "oldies" were about 15 years old - like "Rock Around The Clock". They seemed old to us then. Now...the songs we listened to as teens are 30+ years old. How did that happen?
  6. LMAO @ Keenan It's good to have you back!
  7. LOL - Keenan I had to go back and find it. It was the "Testing Equipment" post in the DIY-E Juice Forum. Sorry, I don't know how to post a link to it. If you haven't read it, please do and let me know what you think.
  8. This is another reason I'm so happy with this forum. We learn such great information. I'm sorry you went through this dlynne and I'm glad it wasn't any worse than it was. You made such a good point about ecigs saving lives and yet if this had happened during the night it could have started a fire and perhaps taken lives. I lost my grandparents in a fire that happened in the middle of the night 15 years ago. I am super cautious about anything that might start a fire now and yet I never even considered that ecigs could. One of the things I was so excited about ecigs in the first place was that they wouldn't or couldn't burn anything or start a fire. Now I know what to do to insure that never happens. Again, I am sorry you went through this and I know it was awful, but just think, you may have saved some lives by going through it and telling us about it. Thank you. Sincerely.
  9. I can still have that happen to me. When it does, I tell myself to calm down, slow down, and relax. Then it seems to go much better. But if I still have problems, then I take the atty off, blow it out from the battery end onto a tissue, and start over. That usually helps me.
  10. I heard this one on an album when I was a teenager. For those of you too young to remember or know what an album was, never mind. I loved it then and love it now. Bill Cosby has probably always been one of my favorites. I loved his going to the dentist one, too. And I have to agree with Keenan about Tim Conway and Harvey Korman and of course Bob Newhart. I even loved Bob Newhart's shows. Couldn't get enough of them. There doesn't seem to be much of that good humor around anymore. Well, except on this forum. I'm still cracking up about a post I read the other day.
  11. I don't vape in public, but then I didn't smoke in public either. Well, not since all the restrictions on it. I used to. A long time ago. A very long time ago. I probably don't vape in public because I'm just not the type of person who would handle the confrontation that came with it very well. But I've also never seen anyone else vaping either. I didn't even hear about ecigs until the day before I starting vaping the beginning of October. If you want to see some interesting stories about other people's experiences with vaping in public, read some of the past posts on here. Some of them are just hiliarious! I wish I could come up with some of the responses the others have, then I might start vaping in public. Welcome to the forums.
  12. Wow! That's awful. And scary. I have never even thought about something like that happening. I think I might be taking batteries out at night now. I've been leaving the whole thing put together overnight (you know, in case I need a vape in the middle of the night - ha ha) and now I think, just to be safe, it will be disassembled. Thanks for this post. I do believe I will be a lot more careful and watchful from now on.
  13. I had the same reaction to it. LMAO
  14. I vape differently than I smoked. I don't know if it's more than I smoked, but I also carry my 510 around with me and vape every now and then. When I'm at the computer reading, I probably vape more than I smoked. I just know I take 5 or 6 drags, put it down, then a few minutes later pick it up and repeat. But there are also times I'm very busy and don't touch it for an hour or more. I've also cut way back on the nic. I had some 36 at first, but quickly went down to 24, then 16. Now the highest I have is 12 and I'm cutting that down to about 6 or a bit less most of the time. Plus, I'm vaping some 0 part of the time. I don't think it will be long before I'm at 0 all of the time. And the main reason I want to get to 0 is because I no longer want to be addicted to anything. I want to be in control of me. I want to vape because I enjoy vaping and not because of an addiction to it. If I can give up smoking as easily as I have, then giving up the nic shouldn't be so hard either. I have no reason to ever quit vaping though. Unless I want to. And I don't want anyone telling me I can't get my nic this way, so if I'm off of the nic, I'm safe.
  15. Oh man! I was so looking forward to watching this and it says it's been removed because it's too long.
  16. Congrats!! And it's true, it does only get better with time. Glad you're liking it.

    Joyful

Congrats dlynne!!! I find it amazing how similar all of our stories are. You could have been writing this post for me. It's exactly how I feel. I agree with jeffb, you get the reward for the feel good post of the day.
  18. This sounds so much like the problem I was having. Except my batteries didn't charge fast. I really think you should contact Jeso. Since he's the one who makes them, he knows what to do about it. He's a great guy and will take care of you.
  19. Good review, Danny. You did a great job. I doubt I'd ever be tempted to vape a meat flavor, but the review was good.
  20. Oh Brian, how awful for you!!! My other worry - other than not having enough supplies and running out - is not having power. At this point, I don't know that I could go back to analogs, so I've been trying to plan ahead for the power outage possibility. That's where the passthroughs come in for me. Along with the car adapter. Plus, I plan to buy even more batteries for my VP2 and my Spade. I already have 4 for my VP2, but I'm thinking I need more. Like maybe 4 more. And probably at least 8 for my Spade. I think that would all keep me covered for a few days. We've never been without power that long, but I really want to be prepared for the worst. Glad you've got power back and will soon be back to vaping heaven. @jeff - LOL I've said the same thing. We might need a generator for just the same reason. Well, and for the computer.
  21. I've had the M401, 510, and 901. My favorite by far is the 510. I have the passthrough for that, too, and use it a lot with the computer and in the car. Gotta admit that I don't care for the short battery life, but that is the only draw back for me.
  22. Crimus, get in touch with Jeso at VaprLife. He'll take care of you. He's an awesome guy.
  23. OMG!!!!! ROFLMAO!!!! Seriously, on the floor. Ow...tummy hurts...tears poring from eyes....can't breath...laughing....so....hard....can't....see Hubby is concerned - never seen me laugh so hard... Hubby starts reading...he can't breath...laughing...tears...it's contagious.... I...love...this....forum... ROFLMAO
  24. Thyphoid Keenan. LMAO I, too, find myself feeling guilty for laughing at a man who is so very sick. And yet I cannot help myself. I have missed you and your wonderfully funny posts and I'm so glad you are on the mend. Okay, I really am, but part of that is selfishness on my part as I really need the laughs. If, as they say, laughter is the best medicine, then I have no worries about getting sick.
