@Brian - I do recommend the 510 and use it a lot, but I also have the VP2. I use it with the adapter for the 510 and love it also. I really like the long battery life I get with it. Sitting at the computer I use my 510 passthrough so I don't have to worry about the batteries. As far as getting any ecig stuff for Christmas, well...I started vaping a month before my birthday, so I said the stuff I bought then was for my birthday. After I couldn't use that excuse any more I started saying it was an early Christmas gift, so most of my stuff was for Christmas. I have a VP/PT on back order, too, and since I ordered it before Christmas, it counts as a Christmas gift, too. Right?

I do, Hurricane and thank you. And if you do, Merry Christmas to you, too.

BMW, I have never joined a forum before this one. I saw no need to. I didn't want to. I was just looking for more info on ecigs and found this place. I started reading and couldn't seem to quit. And I do believe that rumor about Chris using pixie dust because I decided to join and wasn't sure why. I didn't know how to join, didn't know how to use the forum, and wasn't even sure I'd be accepted here. I still wonder if people sit at home reading my posts and wonder why I don't just shut up. I give advice and then wonder why I am because I'm so new to all of this. I've made more than my fair share of mistakes, typos, and misspoke several times. I worry that what I say will offend someone and there is no way I'd ever want to do that. I worry that I say too much. I feel like I'm posting too much. But I just can't help myself. And this is so unlike me, getting involved and talking to people I don't know is so unlike me. I've heard of people joining forums and saying they made some great friends and I thought that was completely stupid. How could you ever make friends with someone you've never met? And yet I feel like I have made friends here. So don't worry about making mistakes and you might make some friends. And yes, the forum is as addictive as vaping is. I did have a good Christmas - even though we are snowed in at the moment. I hope you had a good Christmas, too. As for the rest about me, read Keenan's post. My story is almost exactly the same as his. I'm still amazed at how much I have in common with so many of the people here.

Well, You'll Definitely Stop Smoking

@jeffb - LMAO - I know how you feel. Here it is Christmas and I had to come back and check the forums. Didn't expect to see any new stuff on here, but... And of course I couldn't help but put my 2 cents in. LOL I didn't have to look at the link to know the warnings. I had been in to the dr. and got talked into Chantix. I brought home the script and some info. I read all of it before going to the drug store. By the time I read all the side effects, I said NO WAY and threw the script away. I'm so grateful I found ecigs and this forum. I haven't had even one thought of suicide with these. In fact I want to live forever so I can keep vaping! -
Welcome to the forum. It looks like you've already gotten a lot of good advice. I'd go along with all of it. My favorite is the 510. And the VP2 is great. I haven't had mine all the long and am careful not to drop it, so can't speak to how tough it is, but I've heard it is. It may just be the right thing for you. Good luck in whatever you choose. Ask any questions and they will be answered. Keep us updated on how you're doing.

LOL I saw nothing.

Welcome to the forum BMW. Sorry to hear about your tumor. I hope you're doing okay by now. My opinion is that the 510 would work best for you. The 801 is good, but the 510 is better. The battery life isn't great, but the vapor is awesome. That's what makes the difference for me. I need the action of vaping, but need the vapor as much. I have the VP2 with the adapter for the 510 atty and really love it. The battery life is awesome - 8 to 12 hours for me - but it is expensive and since you need to be careful with the money, you might not want to go that route right now. But you just can't go wrong with the 510. Just be sure to get juice to keep you going, then as you can afford it, get an extra atty or two and maybe an extra battery or two. It's best to stay ahead on those things. A good idea is to order a battery or an atty every time you order more juice. (not my idea, someone else's from this forum, but I can't remember who) Another great thing to have is the passthrough for the 510. It plugs into your computer and you can vape as long as you like without having to worry about batteries. If you get an adapter for it, you can plug it into your car cig lighter and vape in the car. But that could be later as funds allow. Anyway, good luck with whatever you chose. Ask any questions and they will be answered.

That's exactly how I started out, Dannyboy! Great story. Thanks for sharing it. Merry Christmas.

Twas The Night Before Christmas ( Revised )

Good job!!! And a very Merry Christmas to you! -
Congrats Tiki!! I still look at my banner every day and smile. I'm at 72 days and still can't believe it. It's just great. I haven't gone this long without "lighting up" in over 34 years. And it does just keep getting better and better.

Just to clarify... I am not saying anything bad about those who do not believe. It just irrates me when they try to tell me I'm wrong, or offensive in some way. I don't tell them that. And I'm not saying that all non-believers are that way. It's just the ones that are, upset me. Profbeard, you said, "My only objection to religion is when people use it to interfere with the freedoms of others..." I agree with that. I don't like it when they do that either, but I also don't like the non-believers using that to interfer with my religious beliefs. I respect others and their opinions and only want the same respect in return. I also don't like people of other religions trying to shove their religion down my throat and trying to "convert" me. I have my beliefs, I will always have my beliefs, and they cannot change my mind or make believe something different. I may not agree with their religion, but I don't knock it either. And I would never try to interfere with their beliefs.

LOL - I haven't heard that in years. Now it's going to be going through my mind, too. Oh well, it's about silver bells and it is Christmas time, so... LOL

Merry Christmas to you, too.

Merry Christmas to all of you, too. We, too, celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. We've even decided to limit gifts to 3 per person - to represent the orginial 3 gifts. This will be my first smoke free Christmas in 34 years. Truly amazing.

New Health Care Plan - For Or Against?
nana replied to Christopher's topic in Polls and Questionnaires
I'm against it. I think we need some improvement, but this isn't an improvement. I do think they should do away with the "pre-existing condition" crap, but there's a lot in there that would make things a whole lot worse. I do feel for people who don't have any insurance, but not all of those who do have it can afford healthcare either. We have insurance, but hardly ever go to the doctor because of the out of pocket expenses we'd have to come up with. We've refused medications that were prescribed to us because we couldn't afford it. Luckily we very seldom get sick, but we're both on meds for high blood pressure. It's not that we don't worry about something happening and not having the money to pay for it, because we do. But we're scared to death of this so called health plan. And we're not alone. On the news this evening they had done a poll because of Ben Nelson making his "sweetheart" deal. The poll showed 86% of people are against it. The people of this state want him out for doing it. They've even created a website to start that process. It's not that I think nothing should be done, but not this. And not this fast. And I don't think the bill needs to be so big. And I don't think it should be so confusing. And I think they should read it. And I think they should get the opinions of "regular folk". And not all of the elderly are taken care of. My aunt lives on $500. a month SS and cannot afford to pay for Medicare, so she doesn't have it at all. She has a small savings account so doesn't qualify for food stamps. She hasn't been to a doctor in years because she can't pay for it. She's barely able to pay for heat and electric and food. -
Will taking the atty off and unplugging it help? I'm waiting on my VT/PT and do want to take the best care of it I can.
-
I love the way you put it, Dave. I agree with you guys. Completely! I am so sick and tired of these people who seem to be so "offended" by anything Christian. What is their problem? I mean really!! I am not offended by any other religions symbols. Or by anyone elses symbols of any kind. What is there to be offended by? I don't get it. I mean, if I see something I don't like, I don't look. Simple. But, "you can't fix stupid". I read something once that I really liked. It went something like "Since 86% of the people in the US believe in God, why don't we tell the other 14% to shut up and sit down?" I agree with that.

Ok... Another Experience And Other Story

Congrats to you and your dad, LordVapor!!! That's great news! I hate shopping, but I hate it more this time of year. You're a lot braver than I am to put up with all that. -
Australian School Gets It Right !
nana replied to keenan's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
Oh yeah, I've got to agree with that - manners are a lost art. Everywhere. It's one of my pet peeves. Good for you Gazoo! It warms my heart to hear of people who actually teach good manners. -
I don't think I could even begin to pick up an analog anymore. The thought sickens me! I have 11 510 attys, 3 LB 801 attys, and 3 regular 801 here right now. And I plan on buying more each month and really stocking up. We've got a snow storm headed this way right now. We've got a bit of ice and now it's starting to snow. They're saying we may get 15 to 20 inches of snow and a half inch of ice. I'm worried about losing power, so I've got my 4 batteries for the VP2, 4 batteries for the Spade, and 4 regular 510 batteries all charged up and sitting on a shelf. I'm only using my 510 passthrough right now. I want all my batteries charged and ready to go - just in case. I have a car adapter so I can charge my regular batteris in the car and I have an adapter for my passthrough so I could use that in the car, too, if I have to. I think I'm all set. I've even got plenty of snack food and sandwich stuff stocked up so we have something to eat. But my first thought was my ecig stuff.

But "Newhart" was only a dream in the end. And I used to love Steven Wright! Haven't seen anything of him in years though.

Absolutely keep telling us the stories. We love hearing them. And they are a big help to others just starting out. Good luck with the job. I hope you get it.

ROFLMAO @Keenan - I loved it!!! And I agree with you. @BirdDog - Good for you!! And that's funny, I had to do the same thing when shopping with my mother and my kids had to do the same. And I make my grandkids do that, too. LOL @Brian & SteveD - Exactly right!!! -
Merry Christmas to you, too, dlynne. Have a safe trip and good luck with traveling with the ecig gear.
