  1. Sounds great!! You're on the right track. Gotta have the extra supplies.
  2. Yes, pictures...and lots of video!!!!
  3. I'm sure I've read on here (somewhere, sometime, can't remember when or where) that they don't have a memory. It was in a post or two talking about why you don't have to charge for 8 hours before the first use.
  4. I'd never thought of it that way before, but I think you're all right. It is a support group. We care about each other, support each other, answer questions, ask questions, share stories, share laughs, share information, and have a good time. It's still weird to me that I would become involved with a group at all. It's gotta be that pixie dust.
  5. So many good points. So many different points of view. And yet similar. This is a great, intelligent discussion.
  6. OMG!!!!!!!! Just when I'd stopped laughing I read about a universal *** remote!!!!! I can't even tell you about the images that conjures up. LMAO
  7. LMAO - I just love this forum!!! They say laughter is the best medicine, so I should be a very healthy person cause I'm laughing a lot lately and I no longer smoke. Can't get any better than this! Thanks for the laughs, Keenan.
  8. Exactly what the others said. It's not a big deal. You just started with the wrong unit. I did, too. I had to smoke analogs while my one and only battery charged and didn't like it at all. That's what got me into searching for more batteries, which led me to different units, which led me to the videos, which led me to this forum, which got me on the right track. Just think of the analogs as a crutch until you can get the right unit and then you can get off the analogs forever. If that's what you want. Keenan is right, we can't judge you when we all smoked for so long. Just hang in there. It will all work out in the end. And very quickly, too. We're here for you.
  9. That was nice, Keenan. I think I would have liked you dad, too. You may just be right, Dave. Good observation.
  10. At this moment I am giving you a standing ovation!!!! Very well said, great information, intelligent sounding, politely put, good points, and downright impressive.
  11. Welcome back. I think I'd be lost if I couldn't use my computer.
  12. Us, too, Brian! Never put those things on our vehicles, but would be proud to this time. Thanks for the offer Dave.
  13. Yep, that's the way they come. Congrats on getting your kit and good luck with the vaping. Let us know how you're doing and ask any questions you come up with.
  14. I haven't been vaping long enough to know how long I can get an atty to last. From what I'd read I figured I'd have to throw them away after a month. I got my first 510 atty on Nov. 5th and I'm still using it - along with a couple of new ones I'm using on other units. If I can get them to last more than a month, I'm more than willing to do it. Since mine weren't putting out quite as much vapor right now, I just cleaned them and did the paper towel thing like Brian does. I'll see what happens when they're dry. I'd love to get six months out of them! I might have to buy some denture tabs and give that a try. Especially for the six months of use. Thanks guys!
  15. I agree with you completely dave. Nebraska is supposed to be a conservative state, but somehow they elected Ben Nelson and look what he just did. And for the first time in our history, they split our vote for President. Makes me wonder. Although, I think it's still mostly conservative.
  16. I absolutely loved this one!! Even if it's not true, there are some great ideas in there! I only wish I was clever enough to think of those kinds of things - even if only to write them and not do them. I'm kinda hoping it is true. LMAO
  17. Well what a great story! Amazing! Thanks for sharing Keenan.
  18. Welcome to the forums. And don't give up on vaping yet! I started with an ecig that was not reliable, and yet it got me started so I don't consider it a waste. I then moved on to the 901, which was better, but not quite "there" yet. Then I went to the 801. I thought that was the one, until I tried the 510. That was it for me! I love it. I now have a VP2 for the battery life and use it a lot with the 510 atty, but also use the low bridge 801 atty (also know as the 302 atty). I also like that one. I have the 510 passthrough I use at the computer a lot so I don't have to worry about batteries at all. All in all I would recommend the 510 for you. You know you're taking a hit, and you get some great vapor. As for the flavor, you might not be able to taste that for awhile. I've been vaping since the first of October (and been completely analog free since the 13th of October) and I still can't taste a lot of the juices. I am getting to the point where some of them have a very slight taste, but nothing strong yet. I tried Tasty Vapor's flavors and I can taste all of the ones I've tried so far. They may be a bit stronger than others and that's why I can taste them, but I don't know that for sure yet. I've used several flavors from Wordupecig and the only I can taste so far is the Pumpkin Pie. From what others have said, it takes awhile for your taste buds to kick in. I don't know how long. I think a lot of others have had that happen a lot quicker than I have, but I'm not worried about it. Even if I can't taste a lot of the flavors, I'm okay with that cause I'm smoke free now. If I really need a flavor, I go back to my Tasty Vapors "Atomic Fireball" which tastes like a red hot cinnamon candy. I love that. Otherwise, I'm just happy to be vaping. I agree with that Awesome Vapor is a good place to get supplies from, also Wordupecig and Art at Vapor Pro. They are all wonderful, have great prices, great ecigs, and the best customer service you could ask for. Again, don't give up yet. Give something else a try like I did. It really does just get better and better. Ask any questions. Don't be shy. We've all been where you are and are here to help. And to brag. And to have some fun.
  19. I don't have a chuck of any kind so can't make a recommendation on that. I don't know anything about them. Might have to watch the videos. hmmm. I have the Spade and the VP2 and could recommend the VP2. The VP2 has great battery life, but is a bit heavy and bulky for me, but I still love it. If the chuck can be used at 6 volts, you might like that better. I'm wondering it 6 volts is what I need. I'll find out when I get my VP/PT.
  20. I haven't heard that comment yet, but I haven't been openly vaping in front of many people either. The ones I have, have started on them, too. My oldest daughter vapes at the hospital where she works and has started some people on them. My youngest daughter has converted at least one person at the rest home where she works. I haven't heard them say anything about anyone making comments like that either. I like the reply about the personal vaporizer. I've already thought about using that one if someone does question me about them. And the nicotine replacement reply. It might make them seem more "legit".
  21. LOL @ jeffb - "Good question jj. I haven't thought of a resolution to break for this next year." I like that one. I've already cut back to 12mg or lower on the nic, so I could keep that up and get down to 0. Since I'm doing that now, it shouldn't be too hard for me. I've been saying that since I made the biggest step to getting healthy by quitting the analogs, getting the rest of the way to be healthy should be easy. Except for the losing weight part. I am not going to tell how much I weigh except to say I am below 240. But I have a lot to lose. Exercise is going to be a big part of that. Now that I can breath again and have more energy, I think I can do it. We have a treadmill and a total gym that need to be used and I think I can do it now. We've already been working on the eating healthier part, but I do need to give up soda. I've been drinking diet pepsi, but want that to go, too.
