I prime all of my clearomizers. I fill it the plug the bottom of it with my thumb and draw on it a couple of times. The suction that creates seems to help the liquid wick in faster. After that I set it down for 5 minutes and then screw it on the battery and go. I agree about the CE5's being rebuildable. That's how you can tell the difference between them.

Has Anyone Had This Problem With Other People?
Boostedrex replied to FruityVapors's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I used to get that line from people. But like others here I simply take the time to explain the differences. 98% of people have been very positive after I explain everything. The 2% that haven't just agree to disagree with me and we go about our business. I have helped TONS of people make the switch since I started vaping and it makes me very happy to know that I was able to help them get healthier. I'm in the process of getting some of the local businesses I frequent to put up "Vaping Allowed" signs in their establishments. And I'm putting together a "Vaping Night" with the help of my local Yelp Community Manager. Time to start educating the masses. -
I'm 100% with JeffB on this one. A clearomizer would probably be the ticket for you. That's the path I went down and I find it very convenient when I'm out on a job somewhere. Just pull it out of my pocket, vape for a minute, then off and back in my pocket until next time.

An update to this. After a decent amount of time I have discovered this. (It may be just me, but I wanted to put it out there) The T2 clearomizers seem to only work well with standard eGo T and eGo C batteries. When paired with an eGo twist (VV) they get harsh almost like the wicks can't keep up with the demand. The Vision clearomizers don't have this issue. Maybe the design of the T2 allows too much air to be drawn through? Just some thoughts. Anyone else notice this?
-
I haven't had any taste issues out of the rebuildable Vision clearomizers. The T2 style have worked well for me too. Though I don't like the T2 clearomizers with a VV battery. They just don't seem to be able to wick the juice in fast enough. Maybe that's just me though.

The only thing I can think is that the liquid is exposed to prolonged heat from the atty head in the clearomizer and it starts to thicken it almost like it's reducing. But that's just my best guess at it.

I do like the way the T2 clearo is rebuilt over the Vision V3 for sure. I have some of the 2.2 ohm coils for the T2 that I will give a shot and see what I think. The other positive for the T2 over the Vision V3 is that my non Sweet-Vapes juices don't seem to get sludgy in the T2. Sweet-Vapes juices just don't seem to sludge up at all, so that's a non-issue. But with other brand juices in the Vision V3 they will sludge up around .6mL out of a 1.6mL fill. I hate having to dump out juice because of that fact. Just more info to put out there for everyone to think about. Both clearomizers work great, but both have their "quirks" IMHO.

New link. The old one apparently had a typo in the story so they revised it. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-08-25/e-cigarettes-not-tied-to-risk-of-heart-disease-in-study.html

I've had some issues with my rebuildable Visions leaking from the bottom as well. From the connection point between the tube and the metal base is where I'm having issues. I have to take it apart, clean everything with alcohol and allow it to dry, then refill. That fixes it for a few days, but then I have to repeat the process. Not very happy with that. I'm about 2 weeks in on using the T2 rebuildable clearomizers from altsmoke. So far I really ilke them. They hold more juice and have less resistance on the pull. The only issue is that they seem to prefer the standard eGo C battery vs. the eGo C Twist. It's almost as if the wick can't keep up. But if I cover 1 of the 2 air inlet holes during a drag it helps a lot. ZERO leaks, lots of vapor, and great flavor with the Sweet-Vapes juice I'm using. Just wanted to update now that I've been using them for a while.

I started out on a Blu and it only lasted for about a week or two. It just wasn't realistic enough. The flavor died off FAST, the battery life was pretty bad, and the throat hit was non-existant. But for free, might as well give it a shot and see what you think. I think that after being used to an eGo setup it won't impress you at all.

I have the exact same setup as Rixter. Been using the rebuildable Vision's with 2.4ohm atomizer heads for the past 4-5 weeks. Only had to replace 1 head in 5 weeks. Not too bad IMHO. I set my eGo-C twist at 4.2 with Spanish Gold and Cararmel 18mg 50/50 mix from Sweet-Vapes and it's perfect for me. Has anyone seen/tried the T2 rebuildable clearomizer that altsmoke.com is offering? I'm curious to see how they compare to the Vision models.

My V1 clearo's kept cracking and leaking fluid. But after switching to the long wick V2 models they have been good for 3-5 weeks before needing to replace them. Just switched to the new rebuildable V2 clearos though. Should be much cheaper in the long run.

I find that I'm a lot like Mike. LR's I keep it towards the bottom of the spectrum and vice versa for the SR clearo's. But good idea either way. Thanks for sharing with us.

I had the same experience with a Ce4 Clearo once. Just laid it on it's side for 10 min or so then tried again and it was good to go. Hopefully you'll have the same experience. Just took a while to wick in the fluid from what I could tell. But I only took one or two drags and noticed the burnt flavor before stopping to give it time to wick in the juice.

Why Isn't Everyone Using Dcts By Now?
Boostedrex replied to soso's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I just haven't seen one in person or tried it. I started out on Vision clearos and don't have any complaints with them. So for me, I haven't had a reason to look at other options as of yet. -
Altsmoke has the stainless colored 1000mAh twist for $26 right now. They have all the colors actually. The 650mAh twists are $23. Think I'm going to order a 1000mAh for myself and one for my girlfriend tonight. I got to try one this weekend. My friend snagged a couple of the 650mAh models and it was great! Especially on Dulcis in an LR clearomizer.

Ego C And Low Resistance
Boostedrex replied to ecigaddict187's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
From the reading I've done you can use the 2.1-2.4 ohm cartos/clearos with the eGo C. But they recommend AGAINST using the 1.8 ohm models as damage to the battery could occur. I can't speak on the eGo C Twist though as I haven't picked one up yet. -

The hold up is the sheer amount of revenue that will be lost by big tobacco. They have their hands in almost everything. -
JDog, the Tiramisu flavor from altsmoke is pretty good. Significant coffee flavor, but it's not overpowering. Or at least I didn't think so compared to other straight coffee flavors I've tried.

+1!! Sweet-Vapes has been AWESOME so far. Found some really good juices on altsmoke.com too.

You putting the permatex over the button just to get a better "feel" for it? Just curious. -
What Flavor Are You Vaping Right Now ?
Boostedrex replied to kitsune's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Right now it's some Caramel Spanish Gold from Sweet-Vapes. 18mg and a 70/30 PG/VG blend. LOVE IT!! Have some 18mg 50/50 Tiramisu juice from altsmoke.com in a 2nd clearomizer when I feel the need to switch it up some.
