As I said in the video, I don't know the actual resistance. However, I believe they are standard resistance, as there was no indication of low or high resistance in the item description. They work fine at 4.2 volts on my passthrough. I was just wondering if anyone else who uses these can tell me if it will indeed hold up to 5 volts or higher. I'm still enjoying these things, even on standard 510 batteries.

Since you're using Joyetech cartos, you need to use a syringe to fill them. However, the condom fill method is better and works just fine for those cartos. You're dripping right onto the vent, which will leak. Just use the condom fill method. Also, use more than 20 drops to ensure the carto does get filled up to prevent having to add more with the syringe. Once you have lowered the carto all the way into the condom, just pull it out, but keep the carto connector over it or over a napkin. I recommend keeping it over the condom to catch the excess e-liquid. You can then pour that e-liquid back into the bottle to prevent wasting it.

I'll tell you how to solve the wicking problem with this method I just tried. After failing to get the original wicking cut, I just decided to fill up the cup and drip around the sides. This flooded the carto, so I let the excess drain out of the bottom, then wiped off the connector. I then waited a few minutes (at least 7 minutes), then vaped it. It worked like a charm. I'm still vaping it now with no burnt taste at all. Granted, this issue should have been resolved long ago, but this method is a good workaround. More info will be available in the video review.

Well, I was initially not impressed with these cartos, but I did find two methods to improve the wicking on these things. I'll post a video review later today or tomorrow with more detail. For now, I'll just say that since I have used my method, the wicking problem is solved. The flavor and vapor production on these things is amazing. Stay tuned for further info.

Well, This Should Be Interesting.

It's true that you have to use a syringe to fill them, but from what I've seen, I should be able to handle that. Also, they (Vapor Junction) also sells the CE2 fill kit, which comes with a syringe for not even two bucks. I'm hoping they work well. Thanks all for the input. -

I forgot to ask this in the last post. These cartos have standard resistance, so do they hold up to higher voltages? In any case, this should be interesting indeed. I hope to have them before Thanksgiving so I can show them off. -
I just ordered two 5-packs of CE2 510 version 4 cartomizers from Vapor Junction. I have heard mixed reviews about the previous ones. Does anyone have these cartos? If so, did they get almost all if not all of the kinks worked out? I will be doing a review on them later. I hope it was money well spent.

Well, cartos also snap and crackle. Did they put Rice Krispies in there?
-
Good. Just checking then. I just don't want my battery to blow up or something.

I have noticed that some of the cartomizers in the packs I have bought from the VT store and from Liquidxpress (both sell Bogie cartomozers) have what seems to be a shocking pop. I'll be pulling on one such carto when I feel a pop on my tongue. It may not be a shock, but there is a popping sound with that sensation. Does anyone know of this and what to do? Thanks.

New Joye Cartomizer Hits The Market...
Hurricane replied to Uma's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Actually, Joyetech does make cartomizers, unless someone knows something I don't. Here's a link to them on Cignot's site. See if these are genuine Joyetech. http://www.cignot.com/category_s/64.htm -
My pleasure, Nana. Tasty Vapor has been a great company to do business with, as well as the staff of Vapor Talk, as they not only ship fast, but also know how to make great juices, such as Mentha and Dulcis.

I decided to have Tasty Vapor whip me up a batch of plain menthol e-liquid. I ordered 2 1-ounce bottles with 36mg of nicotine each and one 2-ounce bottle of the doubler. All 3 bottles had 80% PG and 20% VG. I put in the comments section "extra strong menthol". It arrived yesterday, 7/31/10. The result? Outstanding! It almost took my breath away. It feels like vaporized ice in your throat. The taste is what I expected, but a lot stronger. Vapor production is excellent. If you're looking for an eye-watering, sinus-clearing menthol e-liquid, just ask Tasty Vapor to make you an extra-strong plain menthol. They won't disappoint.

Your atty may be dead. This works on atomizers that are gunked up. Basically, it works like a self-cleaning oven. Burning the atty causes it to burn off that gunk. If the atty is dead, dry burning won't save it.
-
To dry burn a 510 atty, simply rinse with water, blow out both ends to get it somewhat dry, screw the atty into a battery, then energize the atty for at least 8 seconds while blowing into it. Repeat the last step about 4 more times. If all goes well, you will see an orange glow each time, and it will get brighter each time. Then, either direct drip or insert a cart. Works like a charm.
-
I successfully restored 2 dying 510 atomizers using the dry burning method. Both work like new now!

I haven't been able to post a video review of this yet, so here is a written review. Dulcis is awesome! It is definitely my go-to vape. My next purchase will be Mentha, as I do love menthol. Dulcis produces a very smooth nutty tobacco-caramel taste. It's a niquid I will definitely keep in stock. Hurricane

Merry Christmas to all of you and yours. Hurricane

I haven't tried the auto drip mod. I'm not sure I would. I would be concerned that the auto drip would flood the atty. The PTB wicks really well, holds a lot of liquid, and allows for some awesome vapor production. It is definitely my favorite mod so far. Hurricane

That went well. It didn't work. Is HTML code still disabled for me?
