  1. Crystal Clear Vaping now has them in black or stainless steel for $9.85 + free shipping here.
  2. Although I haven't tried one yet, I'm sure that the Kanger T2 / eGo 2.4ml CC (Changeable Coil) Clearomizer is on par with the Vision V3 Ego Clearomizer for value, quality, and performance, but I don't think you'll find a 5-pack of replacement atomizers for $3.99 ($.80 a piece). I found single eGo CC Replacement Coil's here for $2.49 each, which is about the same price as the Vision eGo V3 Clearomizer and Vision ViVi Nova replacement coils.
  3. These are the same thing with the CCV logo on them, but at a substantially lower price...$7.80 + free shipping. I prefer buying the 3 Box Bundle Deal of the 510 Smok Tech 1.7 ohm XL (15 Resurrectors), because the XL is slightly longer and holds more e-liquid, you save a little buying multiple boxes, and Crystal Clear Vaping doesn't charge for shipping. You can also just buy 1 box of XLs (5 cartos), too They come in black, stainless steel, or clear, but the clear ones aren't very durable.
  4. A cartomizer is an atomizer with a built-in cartridge, so it's all self-contained and disposable...you won't be using the eGo's atomizer. Here's how I fill them. Just pop out the carto's soft white end cap and while holding the carto at an angle, drip your e-liquid into the white filler material (not the center air flu) until a drop or two of juice falls from the hole in the center of the threaded end. Then wipe off the carto's threads with a tissue or paper towel to remove any excess liquid, and screw it into your battery. By the way...you can remove the eGo's screw-on cone if you need to see what's going on or to clean juice from the battery's threads. There's several ways you can fill cartos, like with a syringe or by using the "condom method" (which sounds worse than it is - lol), but dripping the e-juice in seems to be the easiest method for me. You can find video tutorials on YouTube that describe the various methods of filling cartomizers.
  5. Or you could just go with 1 Box (5 pieces) of Boge Cartomizers Any Style, (ie. XL/LR/SR) - $5.50 + free shipping. I know...I'm cheap. We keep going and they're gonna be free! lol
  6. I think Purpleheart or Ebony (or both together) would make a really nice looking mod.
  7. 5 Boxes (25 pieces) of Boge Cartomizers Any Style, (ie. XL/LR/SR) choice is per box - $23 + free shipping.
  8. Without using any adapters, I have very successfully used many 510-thread delivery devices on my eGo batteries, including (but not limited to) CCV 1.7Ω SC Resurrector Cartomizers, Boge 2Ω SC Cartos, a SmokTech 1.7Ω SC eGo Cone Carto, a Smok Tech 510 2Ω Atomizer, a Vision ViVi Nova 1.8Ω Tank Atomizer (never leaked a drop), and Vision V2 and V3 (rebuildable) 1.8Ω Clearomizers (never a leak here, either). Using various adapters, your choices are virtually endless. With the standard eGo batteries, you'll probably want to go with a low resistance carto, tank, or atty, because of the lower voltage that device provides. With the Twist, you can use pretty much anything you want, provided it's 510, or you have purchased the proper adapters for the various other threadings out there. I have used 510-eGo, 510-KR808D-1, 510-RN4081, 510-510 (riser). Just remember, you'll probably want to vape at somewhere between 6 and 8 watts of power if you're just starting out (so you don't pop a coil), so you'll need to decide on what the resistance needs to be for the carto/tank/atty you purchase for your standard eGo battery. You can use the online calculator here by simply filling in your battery's voltage and desired wattage...click "calculate" and you will be provided with the resistance in ohms for the device you'll need to buy. I prefer 1.7-2Ω delivery devices on my 3.7v batteries, so that puts me at 6.8-8 watts of power.
  9. After waiting for a whole week for it to get here, my first order from Ikenvape arrived today. I was really excited to try out my new IKV io6 LR Atomizer 1.8Ω, so after unpackaging everything I purchased, the IKV io6 LR Atomizer 1.8Ω, io6 Delrin Drip tip, and io6 eGo Nomad Cone, I prepared myself to be truly amazed. I prepped the atty with 4 drops of DK-TAB (80/20 PG/VG) directly on and around the bridge, slipped on the drip tip, waited about a minute, added another 2 drops, and pressed my eGo's launch button. The io6 sizzled, and then, through an almost non-existent draw, gave me the nastiest tasting vapor I have ever experienced. On the very next press of the button, the io6 made an audible pop and expelled a blast of air into my mouth...no more atty. I know that defective products make it through quality control sometimes, but after all the hype about the io6 being one of the best, most innovative atomizers available, I am really disappointed. I tried to call Ikenvape, but all I got was an answering machine. I fired off an email with hopes that someone there gets back to me first thing Monday morning. This was a really bad way to start off a new customer relationship, and I hope I don't have to jump through hoops to get a replacement. IKV io6 LR Paperweight from Ikenvape
  10. www.vapelite.info has 50 ml. (5-pack of 10 ml. bottles) of 24 mg. and 18 mg. DK-Tobacco and DK-TAB for $10 + $3 shipping. I think it's 80/20 PG/VG.
  11. Dude...24 mg. DK Tobacco should CRUSH any cravings for a cigarette straight away! Good call, bud! I LOVE that stuff... and DK-TAB (Turkish/American blend), too!
  12. My experience with drip atomizers is pretty limited, as the only drip atty I have ever used is a Smok Tech 510 2 ohm atomizer from Sure Vapes. Compared to the cartos (Boge 2 ohm & CCV 1.7 ohm Resurrectors) and atty tanks (Vision ViVi Nova & Vision V2/V3 Clearomizers, both 1.8 ohm) that I use regularly, it does a good job, but according to some of you "drippers" out there, there should be no comparison...dripping into a quality atty should beat cartos and tanks hands down in a taste-test. So my question is: Which atty provides the tastiest vapor? Throat hit isn't that big of a concern for me, and I can even settle for less vapor production than I'm used to, but I want to taste those "subtle nuances" and "complexities" in taste that I keep hearing about. I could go out on a limb (again) and buy a few of the more obscenely expensive atomizers that are so highly rated (by vendors) in hopes of finding what I'm looking for, but your personal experience is important to me, so please explain what it is about your favorite atty that makes it your favorite. Also, any tricks/tips about your pick that might improve the dripping "experience" will be greatly appreciated. BTW - I will be using whichever atty I finally decide to go with on a eGo-C Twist (3.2v - 4.8v)
  13. I certainly hope so! This is the first vaper's forum I've been a part of that has decent folks on it...some of the other forums out there seem to be full of know-it-alls, instigators, agitators, scoundrels, and trolls. I'm not exactly sure how my vaping story ends yet, but I did start writing the next chapter. I ordered a batch of 12 mg. Chocolate Malt from EC Blend last night. This will be my first real step-down since I quit smoking analogs, so I'm a little nervous about it. I originally began vaping 24 mg. but it made the world spin noticeably faster, so I immediately dropped to 18 mg., and I've been comfortably there since Easter (over 4 months). I just hope that this incremental drop in nicotine isn't too painful because I really don't want to go back up to 18 mg. due to cravings. In any event, I do have a fairly large selection of 18 mg. e-juice (and some 24 mg.) left in my cabinet to take care of the shakes, should that happen.
  14. This was one of the results on Google Images when I searched for "AC9 atomizer". Wow...that thing just might "result in explosion if used or adjusted wrong way."
  15. I think I'll just keep spending money on gear until it completely breaks me...to the point where I can't afford nic-juice anymore. Don't you just love a good plan?
  16. I haven't tried the Nova Mini yet, but is a review on the Vision ViVi Nova that I wrote a couple of months ago. It still performs well, but I haven't used it much since I started using the Vision V3 Rebuildable Clearomizers, which are roughly the same diameter as my batteries, with comparable performance and features. I use eGo-style batteries, so the Nova is just a little too top-heavy for my gear...it just looks better on something like a Provari or a Bolt. The Nova Mini, however, looks like the exact same thing as the standard Nova, with identical innards but a smaller diameter tank and end-caps. I definitely want to try one out because from the pics I've seen of them, they look great on an eGo, and I already know that the performance is fantastic.
  17. *UPDATE* I am finding that the longer I go without smoking cigarettes, the more I pass over traditional "tobacco" flavors in my juice collection. To avoid getting burned out on my current favorite, EC Blend's Chocolate Malt, I vape a couple of former favorites, Dekang's DK-TAB and EC Blend's version of RY4. Both are great tasting tobacco-based e-liquids, but are a little sweeter and tastier than others I've tried. I have a pretty large selection of more traditionally flavored juices to choose from, but they just don't satisfy my taste-buds as much. I'm still vaping Chocolate Malt as my all-day e-liquid because, to me, it tastes great and calms the nic-beasties just as well as anything else I've tried so far.
  18. It's supposed to put out about 3.4v, which, with a 1.7 ohm carto, puts you close to 7 watts! My 280 mAh e-cig lasts all day at work, since I don't use it a whole lot on the job, so this should do just fine. At $12, I couldn't have passed it up in any case. BTW - this thing looks RIDICULOUS with a Boge 2.0 carto and drip tip!
  19. Top - Baby eGo 350 mAh with 1.7 ohm Single-Coil Smoktech Shorty Cartomizer Bottom - Vision V3 Rebuildable Clearomizer (shown for size comparison) At precisely three inches long, the PV above is perhaps my new favorite pocket tool for conducting clandestine vaping sessions while at work...strictly a no-smoking zone. Not wanting to get shot down before even explaining that I wasn't technically "smoking", I decided to keep my vaping on the sly to avoid confusion (and preserve job security).
  20. I was just sitting here vaping and patting myself on the back for my apparent success at beating cigarettes, when it occurred to me that surely, my new habit must someday be broken as well. I've been analog free since April 8, 2012, and plan to reduce my nicotine consumption by stepping down from my current level of 18 mg, to 0 mg in 6 mg increments. Once I reach my goal of zero-nicotine (vaping for taste), what then? I love vaping...love it more than I ever did smoking. I love the gear. I love the apparently limitless variety of flavors available. I love the cash savings over analogs. I love the whole "act" of vaping...and that's gonna be hard to quit. If anyone here has devised a plan to use vaping as a smoking cessation tool, and not just a smoking replacement tool, I would really like to hear about it.
  21. Just one? EC Blend's Chocolate Malt gets vaped at a slightly higher rate than anything else I have on hand. Light on TH, but for a dessert vape, that can be a good thing. At 50/50 PG/VG, which is EC Blends starting point mix, vapor production is excellent, and it tastes great (to me).
