  1. One of these, two of these, and another one of these.
  2. As far as wicking atty tanks go, I've used the Vision V2 eGo Clearomizer ($4.95 + shipping), the Vision V3 (replaceable atty) eGo Clearomizer ($6.95 + shipping), and the Vision ViVi Nova Tank ($10.99 shipped), but my favorite tank system by far is the Boge F-16 Carto Tank ($5.95 shipped) I made a side-by-side comparison using a Vision ViVi Nova with a 1.8Ω Nova atty, a Boge F-16 Carto Tank with a 1.8Ω F-16 SC tank carto, and two VV eGo batteries set at 3.8v to provide 8 watts. I checked both tank setups with a multimeter to confirm the resistance. The F-16 produced so much more V/T/F that I kinda felt bad for the Nova (my first tank system of any type). No leaks or gurgles with either setup, which is more than I can say for the Vision V2/V3s, which are a crap-shoot at best when it comes to leaks. BTW, I'm a pretty heavy vaper, but I've not had a carto clog up or pop yet. I did have one gurgle after about a week of use, but I replaced it with a Smoktech 3Ω double-punched tank carto from CCV (5-pack for $9.95 shipped), set my VV eGo to 4.9v for 8 watts, and I've had no gurgles since. (They also carry 1.7Ω, 2Ω, SC, DC, single-punched, and double-punched versions available at around the same price here.) If you haven't tried a Boge F-16 for yourself, spend the $5.95 and find out for yourself. Vision ViVi Nova Boge F-16 Vision V3 Clearomizer...one with no leaks.
  3. You know, I never thought about it before, but you're right. It's almost like they're saying, "yeah...no thanks...smoking is better for me". I have seen people take one really tiny pull, go into an extremely exaggerated coughing fit, and hand it back shaking their head at me with a look on their face like I'm crazy for doing it. Some others tell me that they saw on "The News" how dangerous "Those Things" are and flatly refuse to try it. By contrast, I haven't had a coughing fit since April 8, 2012...the day my first PV arrived in the mail. Haven't had a single cold since that day, either. Coincidence...I think not.
  4. I've heard about the loose 18650 problem and it was said that the problem can be easily resolved with a magnetic spacer on the bottom of the battery.
  5. I own two of 'em, and haven't noticed an airy draw at all. After about a week and a half, the Boge tank carto that came in one of the F-16s started to gurgle a little, so I replaced it with a Smoktech tank carto from CCV...still using that one and it works great. If there's ever a problem with draw, it's going to be with the carto and not the tank itself, because the F-16's o-rings provide a good seal to the tank cartos. FYI - get a tank filler tool for $3.49 when you order. It's like a funnel that fits in where your drip tip goes while filling, and it'll make filling your tanks a snap.
  6. If VariTube.com didn't offer the Sigelei Zmax starter kit for $89.95, I'd go with the Vamo, but I just can't pass up that price on a machined stainless steel VV/VW APV. They're out of the kit at the moment and just offer the body for $79.95, but they're supposed to have their stock replenished next week. The kit comes with a case, charger, 18650 and 18350 batteries, both end caps, and a clearo. @Uma...VariTube told me that the 510 connection depth "issue" is really a non-issue except on the voltage meter that Phil Busardo tried unsuccessfully to use at a little past 8 minutes into the following video. They said that the only connection problems are with defective cartos/atties/tanks with recessed center pins as opposed to flush or protruding center pins...in other words, the lack of contact would be due to faulty accessories and not the Zmax itself. They also said that any device that couldn't make contact could be made to work by using a standard 510-510 adapter. For the price, I can go with that. I'll still probably get a Vamo for on the go, though. The price is right and it appears to be using the same circuitry as the Zmax V2, just housed in a stamped metal body...not that there's anything wrong with that.
  7. The Comfort Tips are here...and they're AWESOME!!!
  8. Same here, kitsune. Throwing away a carto after a single use is wasteful and expensive. Polyfill holds the e-liquid between the strands, but the individual strands are non-absorbent. You can completely remove any residual flavors by drawing hot sterile water in through the carto's threaded end using a syringe, and then you simply air-dry them. You can do that several times before the draw becomes too tight for comfort. As for cleanliness, it's not like we're filling them in an alley by the dumpster. Any germs you pick up while filling cartos are germs you're breathing in anyway, right?
  9. By the way, I am not knocking the Nova...it's a great device that's built like a tank (pun intended), but it just doesn't "put out" like the F-16s do. I really wish it did because I love the Nova's design, but it just doesn't.
  10. You'll just never know 'til you try one. I own both, and the Nova doesn't come close...at twice the price. Drop less than $6 here and find out for yourself. Boge F-16 on an eGo VV
  11. I currently use Boge's F-16 carto tank as my main DD, and I am completely satisfied with it. The F-16 is the first and only carto tank I've used, but it's one of my favorite pieces of gear. Sure Vapes has 'em for $5.95 and free shipping.
  12. That would be perfect for that weekend bike ride, huh? Sightly more portable than my favorite mod...
  13. Start watching at 28:00 to hear the "rattlesnake".
  14. VariTube.com has them for $89.95 + Free Shipping in continental US...includes 1 Zmax Body, 2 Desay 18650 Batteries (2200mAh), 1 18650 charger, 1 Zipper Case, 1 1.6ml 2.8ohm Clearo, and 2 Bottom Caps for 18650 or 18350 batteries. Best deal I've seen by far anywhere on them.
  15. If you wouldn't mind, the next time you feel especially bored and have a loaded carto that's feeling particularly neglected, would you throw it on your Vamo and let us know if it does indeed sound like a rattlesnake? I'm just wondering, since the Vamo just might be using the same circuitry as the ZMAX, if it also fires at the same 33.3hz. PWM, which is what's supposed to be causing what some folks are claiming to be an unnerving sound from cartos. Thanks.
  16. Hey jeffb...I'm going to be ordering a Sigelei ZMAX this weekend and was doing a little studying up on them over at tasteyourjuice.com. According to pbusardo's video on them (and the original Smoktech ZMAX), they use PWM at 33.3hz, which sounds like a rattlesnake when firing cartos. I was wondering if your new Vamo makes that sound as well, and if so, is it very irritating?
  17. I get the same thing from time to time. Doesn't matter. If smoking didn't make me hack and feel generally bad, I'd still do that. It's my business alone what I do to me, and some people will always think they should have some say in your life. The fact is that since I quit smoking and started vaping, my overall health has increased dramatically, and that's what really matters.
  18. That's pretty cheap...considering it has a joystick.
  19. Thanks man. I gotta tell ya...I REALLY wanted those Comfort Tips!
  20. Somehow, that just sounds...wrong. lol
  21. Apparently, Smokeless Image still doesn't want my business as long as I try to conduct it from my home PC. They will, however, accept it if I clear my smartphone's browser cache and conduct it from my Samsung Galaxy's 4" screen. Regardless, I GOT THE DAMN COMFORT TIPS!!! :animier: :animier: ...or did you do something, jeffb?
  22. It just won't go through for me...straight back to their home page every time. Just tried again.
