  1. You should send it in for repairs, and tell them just that. lol
  2. Isn't power (watts) to the coil the ultimate determining factor in vape quality? Your voltage adjustment works in combination with your resistance selection to provide "X" watts. Why not just make an end-run for the wattage setting? I use VV, too, but I like VP because you don't even have to know the carto/atty/tank's resistance level...it reads it and adjusts the power for you based on your desired vape. It even automatically takes into account the increasing resistance that occurs as a carto/atty/tank gets a little use under its belt, and resolves that, too. Also, many cartos/atties/tanks don't print the resistance on the side, and before VP, I had to meter my various juicers before screwing them on so as not to pop coils. With VP, that's a thing of the past. As for looking for more, more, more, yes...fresh ideas and the spirit of invention is what makes us, as a people, do great things, as opposed to sitting on our laurels. What if Edison had said, "You know...candlelight's okay by me...it does the same job as this bulb thingie I've been thinkin' about making"? Variable voltage, variable power, hell, even plain ol' variable nothing mods are all fine by me...I want 'em all!
  3. How long have you had it and was it performing poorly from the start?
  4. So it is. I forgot all about that one. Thanks jeffb. That thing pretty much makes 'em all VP...big battery mods anyway. I guess the Kicklet takes care of the rest of the 510 lineup.
  5. How could I have forgotten Evolv's Darwin, Kick, and Kicklet?
  6. Other than the Zmax (which I have) and the VAMO (which I will have), does anyone know of any other VP mods that are already out or coming soon?
  7. Now available in SS at a few places around the web.
  8. The introduction of selectable wattage circuitry is probably the most significant advancement to ever be incorporated into the personal vaporizer. ProVape started making a variable power Provari model...when? I do want a Provari (for bragging rights), but in light of recent developments, I'm gonna hold out for the Provari VP to be invented...shouldn't be too long.
  9. I like the eGo-C Twists...I've owned a couple of 'em, and a Vision 1300 mAh Spinner. There are, however, a couple of drawbacks when you compare them to another model eGo battery...the eGo Pass-Through VV. First of all, I don't like being unable to use my PV when it's charging. That means I need to have a pass-through device, which eliminates both the Twist and the Spinner right off the bat. I also prefer not removing my carto/atty/tank when it's time to charge. That's especially troublesome when my Twist/Spinner battery dies just as I've filled my drip-shielded atty to it overflow capacity...messy. With a pass-through, when I lose all charge, I can just plug it in on the bottom and keep on vaping. Another plus for the eGo Pass-Through VV is that it's got a wider range of available voltages (3-6v compared to 3.2-4.8v for the Twist/Spinners) and lockable "+" & "-" buttons. The wider voltage range gives me the ability to not be as picky about juicer selection...low, standard, high resistance cartos/atties/tanks...makes no difference now...I can use 'em all. Also, higher voltage + higher resistance = same vape with less current (cooler switch), and longer vaping time between charges. Perhaps the best thing about the eGo Pass-Through VV is that its LCD screen lets me know at a glance what voltage I'm currently set at, how many puffs I've taken, and most importantly, how much battery life is left. No more surprises. That's how I see it. I use mine every day, and it's never let me down...not even once! I got one here and shipping was free. They also carry a model that takes a 14500 battery, but they're currently out of stock. I got my dad one for Christmas and he loves it. It's cool because you don't have to toss your eGo when the battery dies for good, and when the charge goes down, you just put a freshly charged battery in and you're off. The product page for that one is here.
  10. Sorry about the poor quality cell phone pic. And yes, there does seem to be a little flavor muting going on with wicking tanks.
  11. Sigelei Zmax. $89.95 shipped from here. That's the PV, two 18650 batteries, extra end cap for dual 18350 battery use, battery charger, clearomizer, and zippered case. I'd recommend it to anybody...beginner or enthusiast. The Zmax is actually cheaper than the Vamo when you figure in batteries, charger, etc. The Zmax and the Vamo share the same circuitry, but the Zmax is machined out of stainless steel and the Vamo is stamped.
  12. There's a groove in the top surface of the cone that provides unimpeded airflow.
  13. You can get DCT cones (and ViVi Nova Neptune tank replacements, for that matter) in various colors for cheap these days. You just have to do a little shopping around to find out who's got what for the best price.
  14. Off to a good start it seems. Congrats. A 5ml eGo DCT Cone would do nicely to cover the eGo's outer threads and finish off the smooth look. Sure Vapes has 'em for $2.75 with free shipping, but there's a $5 minimum, so you might want to pick up a Nova replacement coil for $2.89 to get you above the $5 mark. Nice tank, by the way. 5ml eGo DCT Cone Here's what one looks like installed on an eGo
  15. I am a Zmax owner, too, and it's been my experience that juicers (cartos/atties/tanks) behave differently at different power settings. My CE2 "wicking" tank cartos work well at 7 watts...anything higher results in a burnt, harsh vape. My poly-filled tank cartos provide the best taste at 8 watts...anything less results in a cool, weak vape. I have several drip atties that work really well at 8 watts, and a couple of dual-coil atties that don't start hitting their stride 'til around 10 watts. I guess you just have to find the sweet spot for the juicer as well as the juice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuTLkwiGsII
  16. 1. What mod are you using now? 2. Have you tried lifting the center pin on your mod to get your juicers to make a good connection?
  17. Okay. I'm sold on these. Just bought five more (3Ω single-coil) for $1.59 each + $4 shipping here.
  18. Don't know why my "Yes, and yes." went into your quote bubble. lol
