  1. This happens all the time not only on clearos but on just about every type of juicer known to man. I've had cartos drop from 3Ω to 2Ω over the course of a day, and before variable wattage devices came along, I would always wonder why things started tasting scorched. I've received brand new cartos/clearos/atties that were way off the mark in terms of stated resistance versus actual resistance. You did the right thing by metering the load to find the proper voltage setting before firing it up. It's always better to take that extra step to ensure that you won't pop something. It's like mcquinn said, "For what we pay for this stuff and the fact the manufacturer ,wholesaler and supplier all made a little plus shipping it amazes me any of it works at all."
  2. Click here and proceed. BTW, now that you mention it, it does have a vaguely maple-syrupy flavor to it (kinda/sorta), but only in a good way (because we all know that maple syrup could never be seen in a bad way, right? ).
  3. @mse12: TEXTURED Black Mamba Recognize the hole pattern? Another pic I found of the Black Mamba pattern (I think).
  4. Yeah, mse12, I agree. I keep the guys at work who vape supplied with juice, and I give them a fresh carto with every 10 ml. bottle of juice. I tell them to toss the old carto when they've vaped the bottle up because even though a good carto will last much longer than 10 ml., there is a noticeable difference between a 10-ml.-old carto and a freshy. BTW, I get 'em for 92¢ a piece shipped here (Boge - mix and match - any style).
  5. Uma, they are so easy to put on. I lined up the OLED and fire button holes in the vinyl, and wrapped outward from the center. It went on perfectly the first try. I hear if you get it wrong, though, you can take it off and re-apply it without losing any cling. Very easy to apply and pictures don't do it justice. It really looks like a mahogany mod now. Now if I can get 'em to make me a matching wrap for the drip shield.
  6. Show of hands... ...how many of you have been out somewhere just a'vapin' away without a care in the world , and all of a sudden, that ol' button goes to flashin', and guess what...you're good time just came to a screeching halt (without any warning whatsoever)? And it's really not your fault, either. Heck, you thought you had enough charge left...if only there was some way to know how much charge was left so you could plan accordingly. That's what I love about these eGo VVs...they still feel & perform like an eGo, but they have better features (IMO), and it's a pass-through (those of you who know me know why that's a big deal for me ).
  7. You should try Janty's Elixir PG RY4. At almost a dollar a ml., it's a little on the pricey side, but it's definitely a quality juice. It has a really nice vanilla taste (especially on the exhale), and the throat hit is incredible! Also, vapor production is surprisingly good for a straight PG juice.
  8. As posted in "" : After vaping nothing but Dulcis through a dual-coil 1½Ω 306 atomizer at 15 watts (7½ watts per coil) a little today and a lot this evening, I have to say that of all the desert vapes I've tried, this just might be my favorite one yet. I don't even know if Dulcis is supposed to be categorized as an RY4-styled e-liquid, because it doesn't seem to project "Vanilla" like other RY4s typically do. It does have the "Caramel" needed to be grouped in the RY4 box, but it's really a different animal altogether. For me, Dulcis tastes like a really rich, warm, caramel-marinated medium-dark tobacco blend with lots of flavor. It is not wimpy on the tobacco, either...that part stands right out in the mix. The sweet caramel is also recognizably apparent from the beginning of the draw and stays put right through to the end. As I mentioned earlier, "Vanilla" did not seem to be a component of this juice, but honestly, it wasn't missed at all. In fact, even though the flavor gives you the impression of vaping a really good RY4, the lack of vanilla is a definite plus for Dulcis in that it makes it stand out in a crowd. It's bold without being too complicated. Good stuff. I will be ordering more of this for a fact. I hope there will be some bigger bottles available because I think a well-steeped 50 ml. bottle of Dulcis would be a real treat. Oh, yeah...at an unusually light (for me) nicotine level of 16 mg., Dulcis packs one hell of a throat hit, too. This is a really good vape...VT gets a "Gold Star" on this one.

  10. I use my eGo VV daily and it's never let me down. It never dies on me unexpectedly because, having a battery charge display, I always know how much time I have left. 6v max is kinda nice, too. I think I'm going to have to pick up one of these 1200mAh versions.
  11. I'm gonna reserve my judgement on Dulcis for the time being because I've been vaping Janty's Elixir RY4 PG (a lot) in my favorite dripper, so I can't really tell where Janty's ends and Dulcis begins. Dulcis-only tomorrow, though...when I settle down tomorrow evening, I'll know a little more about it. I can say that even though I can still taste the Janty's sweet vanilla-ness (fruity?) shining through, I can definitely taste something richer and more tobacco-y in the mix now...and caramel, obviously. I've been wanting to try this for a really long time now. I think I'm going to have a good day tomorrow.

  13. Good job, man! Oh, yeah...thanks for turning me on to the Nova way back when they first came out. Prior to that, I'm pretty sure that my only experience was vaping with cartos (I think I was really into CCV's 1.7Ω Resurrectors then). That one purchase opened up a whole new world of vaping bliss for me.
  14. It's a really affordable way to be addicted, though.
  15. I think the answer is convenience. No charger needed...just USB it every few days. And with 3800mAh, you don't have to worry about charging very often. Top it off with a 7 ml. tank and you're vaping hassle-free for quite some time.

  18. My wife told me the other day that the reason that she prefers 18 mg. over 24 mg. is because she loves to vape, and she can't vape as much when she's using higher nic levels. I'm the same way...I just love vaping, and only use higher levels at work when I can't vape as much as I'd like to. It just goes to show you that many of us enjoy vaping more for the taste than for the nicotine.
  19. I trust you, Tam. I'm sure they compliment each other well. I'm gonna pick up a couple this weekend when I get her the Spinner. Thanks.
  20. From MadVapes "The Groove" product page: "This is a variable volt, variable watt mod. The Groove adjusts from 3.0 to 6.0 Volts in .1 volt increments or 3.0 to 15 Watts in .5 Watt increments and has a cool backlit OLED display. The Groove has a maximum output of 5 Amps. The Groove can read your output voltage, battery voltage and cartomizer / atomizer resistance. This mod does it all. The 510 connector will accept any 510 tank, atomizer or cartomizer and has a channel around the 510 connector so you can use 510 eGo style cartomizers or tanks. With the power of variable volt you can use almost any 510 tank or carto you have. There are ample vent holes in the side of this APV for added safety. The groove has an internal 3.7V, 3800mAh Li-polymer battery that lasts far beyond most other batteries. Included with the APV are a mini USB to USB cable for charging with a computer and a USB to AC adapter for charging with a wall outlet. The Groove cannot be used while it is being recharged. The button on the top of the Groove can turn the device on and off with 5 quick pushes. Read the resistance of your cartomizer or tank by holding the "+" button for 3 seconds. Easily adjust Voltage or Wattage by using the "+" or "-" button. Hold down the "+" and "-" buttons together for 3 seconds to switch between Voltage and Wattage. Output Voltage or Wattage is displayed when you press down the top button. Battery Voltage is displayed by pressing the "-" button for 3 seconds. The Groove only needs a 510 style tank, cartomizer, CE4 and some e-liquid and it is a complete ready to go unit with nothing else to buy!" Very Interesting.
