Hey, I've become a die hard RBA nut lately (got four of 'em) because the performance is so great, but the flavor of my juices in this atty is absolutely awesome! I'm using a drip shield with it and loading 10 or so drops at a time so it keeps fogging for quite some time. I though I was done with dripping, too...guess not, eh?

My HH.357 2Ω Long Barrel Hybrid 510 Atomizer from Avid Vaper just arrived in today's mail. This is one that I've been anxiously awaiting because...well, because it's an HH.357 drip atty! I've been wanting to try one for over a year now...I just didn't want to spend over $25 (shipped) on a single atomizer, but after seeing that they weren't just a flash in the pan (here today, gone tomorrow) I decided that now was the time, so I bought one. I followed the instructions Avid Vaper provided on their product page to the tee, and I can tell you that this is the best performing atomizer I've ever tried. I've used quite a few different atties since I started vaping, but the taste of my juice is definitely better by far in this one than in any of the others. The taste and vapor production at 8 watts is on par with a well set up RBA. Now I see what all the hype was about. I've heard that these last a really long time, too...I'm hoping for at least six months with proper care. My last atty, an Empire Mods 1.5Ω Premium Bridge Free LR901, lasted about 7½ months, and cost $7.49 + shipping. It was a great performer, too...just not as good as the HH.357. The taste is pretty incredible. I still love my RBAs, but they have to be set up properly to really shine. If money's not a concern and you want the best vape you can get right out of the package, the HH.357 is what you want.

I'd say that the AGA-T2 is probably the best bang for your buck. It comes with SS mesh and Kanthal to get you started, so you don't need to buy anything else right off the bat, and it's about the easiest RBA to set up that I've tried. Empire Mods has 'em for $24.99 + shipping. I know...I know... PM me and I'll try to steer you to some good threads here at VT for RBA basics. -

I'll put it this way: I've got four mech mods with RBAs on 'em, and I re-coil EVOD and eGo clearos for myself and my wife. It took me a few months to use up the meter or so of wire I've bought since I started making coils, so I should be good for...I don't know...EVER!!! PS - The best part about RBAs is that once you have a proper coil made, it lasts for a really long time. I've yet to have an RBA coil pop once it was set up right. My first RBA, a UD AGA-T2, has been running on it's first (correctly made) coil since February or March...it's been so long that I don't really remember the exact date. -
Most excellent information!

There is a pretty good stretch between the coil and the pos. post, but if you begin by fastening the pos. connection first and finish with the neg. connection, there's no problem with top coil hot spots...at least for me. My first (and only) try making a 7/6 28 gauge Kanthal coil was completely successful, and gave me a nice, even red glow across all the wraps, and I ended up with a 1Ω coil. What makes things a little tricky is the ridge around the top deck, which is there for when you're using it as an RDA. Getting your neg. lead under the ground screw with that lip right next to it can be a little difficult.

I'm not gonna do a complete rundown on the UD AGI (unless someone has questions, of course), but I will say that in Genesis mode, this is my favorite RBA to date. It's not the easiest to set up (that honor goes to my AGA-T2), but it's not too difficult, and it does have the best draw and performance of any of my RBAs. I haven't set it up as an RDA because I don't like being unable to see how much juice is left inside the juicers I use, so I can't really speak to that. It looks easy enough to do however, and it is nice to know that if you're into dripping, you have that option. I'll be giving the AGI a good workout over the coming weeks, and will post the results, but for now, I'll just say that this is a great little genny. My Youde AGI on a KTS+ mech mod

Actually, atomizers predate cartomizers by quite some time, but they did have a lot to do with the birth of cartomizers. The very first e cigs were fed by poly-filled cartridges that you filled with e-liquid and slid into the end of an atomizer. The saturated poly-fill in the cartridge pressed against a stainless steel "bridge" above the atomizer's coil to transfer the juice into the atty's internal wick & coil. It didn't take long before some more adventurous early vapers tried dripping juice straight onto the atomizer's coil (bypassing the use of the cartridge) and found it to be quite tasty. Later, the atomizer & cartridge were combined into one unit for convenience and the cartomizer was born, but due to the excellent flavor it provides, the "dripping" trend remains alive (and very popular) to this very day. Sorry...I got off topic. -
Good job, kitsune...sounds like your diagnosis was right.

Vaper's Tongue: Foiled by Cinnamon
Rixter replied to caHarkness's topic in General Vaping Discussion
First, I meant to say "big ol' wad of wasabi" instead of "bog ol' wad of wasabi", & second, yes...a fiery butt is a distinct probability. In fact, now that I think about it, your taste buds might not work at all for some time afterward. -
Since you are vaping at 8 watts of power or less (using the formula: voltage²÷resistance=power, & the numbers you provided), and it's happened with more than one coil head, I'm going to say that it's an ingredient in the juice you're using. It could very well be that the coils you have are mislabeled, so I suggest checking them with a meter to confirm their stated resistance level before switching from a juice blend that you really like.

Drip tips that come on big tanks I dont get it ?
Rixter replied to Christie's topic in General Vaping Discussion
The term "drip tip" is a little misleading as they are not solely for use in loading a dripping atomizer. They are also simply used as a mouthpiece for cartomizers, tanks, RBAs, RDAs, or pretty much anything vapeable. -
I feel prosecuted. And how did he get out of his chain? I've already gnawed off both feet and a hand and I still can't get away from mine!

I guess I've been doing it wrong...I just eat different sushi rolls between different sushi rolls lol. On a side note, eating a bog ol' wad of wasabi is a great palette cleanser as well as a great prevention for dehydration...try it and watch how much water the human body can hold immediately after eating some.
