Agreed. When I'm at home and have access to plenty of fresh batteries, that's how I roll...unregulated batts with SLR RBAs. I change out 18650 2600mAh batts every time I reload my RBAs. I am, however, really enjoying having constant power (and protection) with the Kick when I'm at work. When voltage hits 3.5v, it stops firing, all the while providing a steady 9w to my delivery devices and protecting my batteries against under-voltage damage. I hear Evolv's got a new Kick that goes to 15w, too.

You have to take the Kick out to adjust it, but I find that once you set it to your preferred power, adjustments aren't needed anymore. Mine are set to 9 watts, and that works perfectly with everything I use.

Actually, the battery voltage drops as the battery drains, so without a Kick (or comparable VW module), your wattage will drop as the battery's voltage drops. The Kick also protects your batteries as it cuts off before under-voltage occurs, and it also protects your battery if you have a short.

With a $15 Sigelei Kick. Adjustable between 5-10w. Just set it and stick it in the mod above your battery.

This is the M16 in 18650 mode... and this is the M16 in 18350 mode. It's only $11.54 at FastTech. My V3 is the same style as the M16, just all brass instead of SS & brass. This is it in Kicked 18350 mode. No bells...no whistles. Very pocket friendly variable power mod. Take the Kick out to unleash it when you're ready to get an RBA.

You can get (from FastTech) a Sentinel M16 mechanical mod, two 18350 batteries, & charger, and then get (from Exhale Vapors) a Sigelei Kick module to make it variable power (5-10w). Total cost - $35.38. That's the smallest mod I've seen. It'll hold an 18650, but not with the Kick module in it...18500 is the largest that'll fit with a kick.

I like to have a good variety of flavors at my desk, and the easiest way to do that is by having several setups ready to choose from...that's just how I roll. Also, it's the only way my OCDness will allow me to be. As a matter of fact, I did buy the M16 mod, RBA, Kick, batteries, & charger for a friend. I'm gonna set it up for him since this will be his first mod and his first RBA. I normally use AWs or Samsungs, but I got the TrustFire batteries for my buddy's setup because they were the best deal...thought I'd get a couple extras to try out for myself, too. Among others, I do own a TrustFire TR-001 and it gets the job done quite nicely, if not quickly.

You know, it seems odd to me that whenever folks go to the doctor or dentist, they always say that the e-cig is what's causing all your problems. Strange. I've been vaping steadily since April 8, 2012. Since that day, I've not had a single cold or respiratory ailment of any kind. I've also had no dental problems other than the normal things that 48-year-old people go to the dentist for. My overall health is great since I quit smoking cigarettes. Since so many people are starting to embrace e-cigs as a healthier alternative to tobacco, I think it's high time for medical professionals to start using a little common sense and arm themselves with more facts, and stop lying so much about vaping. Would they rather you continue smoking?

Keep in mind that this review was for the V1. Most of the negative issues Phil refers to in the video have been addressed in V3.

I'm pretty sure that the Vamo displays battery charge and resistance levels. The Zmax does and if I'm not mistaken, it's got the same circuitry...the Vamo just has a couple of extra buttons for settings & menu navigation. It'll also shut down when the battery reaches 3.4v.

I've vaped Dekang's RY4 but I've not heard of DK-4. Not saying there's no such animal...I just haven't heard of it. And yes...it could be a hardware issue, but sometimes things that taste good one day can taste not-so-good the next. Also, steeping for a few weeks will change (usually improve) the taste of new juices, sometimes dramatically. By all means, try other juices, but if you're looking for a good tobacco flavor, give DK-TAB a try, too. Based on the reaction my friends & family had when they tried it, I predict that you won't find it "vile and disgusting".

I'm still "a little giddy" about the EVOD, and Great li'l clearo. PS - Learn how to re-coil them yourself and you'll like 'em even more.

Dekang's DK-Blend (formerly DK-TAB) is my all day vape. It was the first Dekang juice I tried and is incredibly good. My wife and I both love it as an ADV, and so does every one of my vaping friends. I live about an hour south of Memphis, TN, (right up the road from Mississippi River delta - home of the blues) and was wondering if anybody knows of a vape shop near me. I'm sure there are some stores that sell a few eGos & juice, but I'm really looking for a place that sells advanced items for the serious vaper.

They should, but I'd try to get a few extra coils for 'em in case they're clones with slightly different coil heads. Your best bet is to learn how to re-coil the ones that come with each clearo...it's really easy to do. Are these the ones you're looking at?
