  1. That ribbon micro coil made me think about something. I wonder why nobody makes a Kanthal resistance tube with a lead on each end? Just a thought.
  2. Actually, I've not had to clean mine yet, but I avoid using any dark or thick juices in it. I know that at the price you pay for HH.357s, you ought to be able to vape molasses through 'em if you want to, but I don't want to take that chance. I figured that I'd make that compromise because of the superior flavor I get from the juices that I do vape in it.
  3. I take it you saw my earlier post in the V.I.P. room.
  4. Okay, I bought one. After watching Lord Davon's video review, I just couldn't help myself.
  5. I soak my clogged atties in Everclear PGA when hot water doesn't free up the draw. I buy the little "airplane-size" bottles for a couple bucks and since you only need a little bit, it lasts for months. Very effective.
  6. Has anybody tried Fuzion Vapor's Flavor Eraser yet? From the product page: "We’ve all experienced this before… You vape a bold flavor like cinnamon, coffee or menthol… The next time you use that atomizer; you can still taste the previous flavor. After experimenting with different formulas, I’ve found a fantastic blend that nearly neutralizes pesky flavors left sitting in your atomizer or even your cartomizer. Add three or four drops of the eraser, let it sit for about 30-seconds and blow it out… You may need to repeat another time if it’s a REALLY persistent flavor!"
  7. I posted this on the thread titled "" a little while ago, but I don't know if you've seen it yet or not, so... You can, but you're going to be somewhat restrained by the Spinner switch's 2.5 amp limit. The most power you're going to get using an RBA/RDA on a Spinner is around 11¾ watts with a 4.6v setting and a 1.8Ω coil.

  9. I just bought a Gold Rainbow Heaven Elite Hybrid Mod from vaportekusa.com for $45.22 shipped (using coupon code "VAPORJOE6OFF").
  10. I learn something new here every day. Unleash that puppy with a mech mod and see what kind of clouds you get with it then.
  11. Looks like your eVic is hitting a wall somewhere because 4v²/1.1Ω should be yielding 14½ watts instead of 11 watts (3.5v²/1.1Ω=11w). Have you tried your RDA on a mech mod yet?
  12. While you might find some Kanthal A-1 locally, I doubt you'll find a hundred foot spool of it (lifetime supply) locally for the price temcoindustrialpower.com sells it for, and shipping is free & extremely fast. They sell 100' spools of 28 gauge for $7.75 and 32 gauge for $4.56. You'll spend that much on just a few feet of it at most places. I use 29g for Genesis RBAs (they were out of 28g when I bought my spool) and 32g for BCC rebuilds (Kanger Protank, EVOD, etc.).
  13. It's nice to see so many variations on coil rebuilding popping up around the forum. I've been wanting to do some experimenting with micro-coils for some time now, so it looks like I'm going to be busy trying some new methods out this weekend. Good job, vapers!
  14. I would never object to someone posting as much info on new techniques as they can...this place is all about learning and sharing. I found out about how to rebuild from someone else, added a twist or two of my own, and then posted what I've learned, so you won't be stepping on my toes by doing the same.
  15. I've been looking for an Atomizer/Cartomizer Ohm Meter like the one pictured below, but they're sold out everywhere (and have been for quite some time). I have a standard digital multimeter, but an Atomizer/Cartomizer Ohm Meter would make rebuilding RBAs a little easier since it holds an RBA upright while you're working on your coil. It's also easier to get a reading since you don't have to fumble with multimeter leads. Please bump if you find one for sale online.
  16. I was planning on buying one this weekend...they're sold out!

  18. Kidney Puncher is now selling the AGA-TD, a dual-coil Genesis-style RBA for just $36.15 shipped. Here's some pics: Product Description The AGA-TD Dual Coil Genesis Style RBA 3ml tank 510 connector Phillips head type screws - no allen wrench needed ! 19. Thanks a bunch for the info on where to buy the insulators. I'm ordering some now. As for the washer under the spring, I didn't have one at the time that had the proper ID & OD so I went without it, but after a month of use, I still haven't had any leaks. *EDIT* It's nice to know where to get the insulators, but with $6.20 as Kidney Puncher's cheapest shipping option, I think I'll wait until I need some more gear to place an order there. That's a little (a lot) too much to spend on shipping for a $1.95 item. I suppose I could try contacting them and asking if they mind dropping them in a regular envelope and mailing them as a letter. *ANOTHER EDIT* I just sent them an email that says: I know this is going to make me sound like a cheapskate (which I am, I suppose), but if I buy a couple of your AGA Series Positive Post Insulators - 10 packs, couldn't you just drop 'em in a regular envelope and charge me for mailing them like a letter? I just can't see paying $6.20 for shipping on an item no bigger than a packet of Sweet-N-Low. Who knows...maybe they're cool. *YET ANOTHER EDIT* I see where people are using these same insulators for replacement grommets when rebuilding KPT & EVOD coils. Very interesting.
  20. Anybody else watching Ole Miss beat the snot out of Texas at the moment?
  21. Maybe NOT finally...I just noticed that those articles are a few years old. Sorry for the excitement. Back to the drawing board. *EDIT* Even worse news...now they're out of business. (note to self: check the dates before you post)
  22. Just found these articles while trying to find out why there are no American-made Li-ion batteries. Turns out there are: Electro Energy sells "made in the U.S.A." lithium ion batteries and Electro Energy Receives $100,000 Order for Lithium-Ion Batteries It appears that Electro Energy's USA18650BXC Li-ion batteries are assembled into packs used in communications equipment for military applications, but it's only a matter of time before they'll be available to the general public. IMO, there's just too much demand for American-made 18650s for them not to sell to the public.
