  1. Agree w/ aleko, I used to fill them up to mid-top of the rubber and got a ton of leaking.
  2. So i might have been a grade A dumbass here.... i wasn't using the little rubber curver thinger that keeps the carto in place and sorta guides the needle. Started using that and it's working 100% better. lol
  3. Yeah i meant the gripper was twice the price of the ovale, seem extremely similar with the biggest difference being the type of battery they take. I went with the gripper since it takes an 18650, leaves the door open for more mods I won't have to get batteries for
  4. I just rotate flavors, i have 6-8 flavors I keep in stock, but i'm only vaping 2 or 3 of them on any given day. When i flavor seems to be dulling out (happened w/ Boba's, recently revisited it and now i can't put it down again) just toss it in the drawer and leave it alone for a week or so. I like to have 1 fruit flavor, a tobacco flavor, and a bakery flavor loaded and read to go at all times, then one one dull's out, i'll swap it for another flavor within the same category. Here are my current flavors: Fruit: Hype from AVE, Scarlet Bull from Buckeye Vapors Tobacco: Ginger's RY4 from TVR, Boba's from AVE, DK Tobacco from Buckeye Vapors Bakery: Cinnamon Danish Swirl from TVR, Smurphberry (blueberry) from Buckey Vapors. I put that one as a bakery flavor cuz it tastes more like a blueberry muffin than the blueberry fruit to me
  5. 1.7 ohm dual coil ressurectors from CCV and single coil low res boges are my two go-to's.
  6. I've had this problem with every single stardust/vision i've owned. I've pretty much given up on them. I think it's usually from the rubber cap that sits on the center tube wearing down, and then setting them on their side causes juice to get into the center post. They have great flavor, but IMO they're just too temperamental and never seem to work when i need them to. Carto tanks all the way for me.
  7. Looks like between 9-10 watts for me. 4 volts on a 1.7 DCC, 4.2-4.4 volts on a LR ~2.2ohm carto.
  8. I've had the same experience with butterscotch from a few vendors. Sounds and smells delicious, but the vape is terrible. I literally almost vomitted when i tried it. I threw the juice out, could just be one of the flavorings takes on a whole different flavor when vaporized.
  9. Hello and congrats to both of you and welcome to Vapor Talk! Sounds like you have a solid setup stosh, i haven't tried a vivi nova tank yet but i've read theyre great.
  10. Welcome to vapor talk! That's one of the many beauties of vaping. Either you stick with your initial setup and save a ton, or spen roughly the same amount as analogs and have a plethora of awesome devices and toys to play with lmao.
  11. Welcome back blu! I was wondering where you went
  12. I did a lot of research on this as well when i picked up my VV gripper, and overall for VV devices people seem to prefer AW IMR or the Panasonic series. I've heard the traditional ultrafire, trustfire, epower, etc. don't provide as consistent a vape experience. I can't speak to that as all i have are the AW IMR's and they work great.
  13. Looks like the article was pulled, the link says page is not found
  14. Keep hearing ppl talk a lot of hybrid attys and rebuildables, although i've never tried either and am perfectly happy w/ my DCT and boge carto tanks. Why the stop in vaping? You aren't back on the analogs are you?
  15. Another big plus for TVR. I was having trouble with their bottles recently, i was having to squeeze way too hard to get even a couple drops out of the bottle. When filling my 5ml carto tank it was taking forever and i squeezed harder, and harder, and... POP. The tip of the bottle popped off and nearly all of my 30ml bottle spilled all over my desk and hands. After cleaning up the giant mess, i emailed them, and not only did they confirm the problem and said they have different tips for their bottles now, they replaced the entire 30ml bottle free of charge. TVR +1, definitely one of my favorite vendors and i will always be a repeat customer of theirs.
  16. Hits the spot everytime! Cept i'm currently out lol Turkish Tobacco from TVR will have to do for now, suprisingly tastes pretty similar to what I remember a Camel cigarette tasting like
  17. Oh, and Blu's have a 510 connection, so all my gear fits Suprising from them, you'd think it would be one of those oddball propietary sizes
  18. I've been trying it out myself to see how it works, and it's actually doin suprisingly well, the LR carto packs a good hit and the juice is very close to a camel. Vapor production isn't jaw-dropping, but great for a mini model. I ran through the battery in about 2 hours and it seems to be working alright, just wasn't sure if there was any risk of harm with extended use. If the worst thing that can happen is it fries the battery i'm fine w/ that. Who knows, maybe this will finally open his mind (and lungs) to it. Stubborn folks...
  19. I started vaping on a Blu, and it put it shortly, it didn't last long. Their batteries have horrible battery life, and while their prefilled cartridges taste great, they only taste great for about an hour, and then it tastes like you're sucking on plastic. Having said that, it's not the worst thing out there. If you want to keep it for backup gear by all means go for it, if you're a light vaper the mini batteries and PCC might work well for you, but i'd go with refillable cartos as opposed to their pre-filled ones. If your friend wants to give vaping a shot it's not a terrible way to introduce them to what it's all about, but needless to say, if they're gonna stick with it, they'll want to upgrade batteries pretty quick.
  20. So for months since i started vaping i've been trying to convince my stubborn brother to give it a shot. He's very skeptical and regardless of the flavor, he seems to have already made up his mind that he's not going to like it before even trying it. I want to take one final stab at convincing him, so i picked up some Turkish Tobacco from TVR, and in vaping it for a day or two, i feel like it really does closely resemble the flavor of a real camel cigarette. I think my bro would like it, so to give him the mini cigarette feel, i was going to load it up in a LR boge carto and toss in on one of my old blu auto batteries, in an attempt to open his mind to making the switch. I've read LR cartos on low mah batteries aren't a good idea and can damage the battery, but is there any risk with this setup other than draining the battery fast and potentially damaging it? i really don't care if it busts the battery as i never use them and they might as well be in the trash anyways, but if it can change my bro's mindset about vaping i think it's worth it, just wanna make sure it's not gonna blow up in his hands lol Thanks in advance!
  21. Never heard of that either, but you might want to consider trying an all VG juice. There's a possibility you could have a sensitivity/allergy to PG.
  22. Mike can chime in here but i'm pretty sure that's just a 510 tip. I have one of the empire sheilds for my 306 but i'm not a fan. Too many connectors/adapters/components and it just doesn't seem to work well. Empire mods themselves told me the setup isn't ideal, but it can be done. basically it takes 2 510-510 adapters, toss the 306 on top of that. a universal cherry vapes drip tip slides over that, and then a 510 drip tip on top of that. Then, finally, you slide the drip sheild over the universal adapter. Looks badass, performance not so much. I'd really like to get a 306DCA but they never have them in stock, and I'm always busy when they have their 'sales'.
