Any drill bit will work. It just takes time and a gentle touch. I used an old generic bit that worked like a champ. Just put a very minimal amount of pressure and run the drill slower. It'll cut through it I promise.

V2 is decent I'm sure. Most of our issues with a company like them is the fact that they take advantage of new users with the price. The technology is super cheap so they are turning a huge profit with their big prices on kits that you can pick up other places for much cheaper. If it works that is really all that matters. we don't bash the product but we just know what it should cost.

Could be dehydration? I don't see much success with 100% vg in cartos. You could try an ego battery with a mini vivi nova. That's crazy simple and should handle the vg a little better. Filling is super easy too.

Never had a problem with any tanks I've tried. VAMO is kinda meh for me..works well enough for less than $50.

Welcome to VT! My VAMO has no issues with anything I put on it! My issues with mine are the crap finish and battery spring...other than that it performs fine. Not my daily driver but a good backup.
