The problem probably is me. I don't know honestly. I've wasted so much juice in these things that I've just given up on the traditional carto's. They are just not for me. I am enjoying this ego vision decently well. I'm on refill number 5 and it is still vaping like it was at the start. The best part of this style is if I fill it up and it doesn't fire I can salvage the juice. I'm not a fan of throwing my juice away. Happy Vaping -mse12 p.s. I still have 2 xl tanks, 15 smoktech cartos, 2 xl dcc's for sale...$25 for all including shipping.

Good evening all, I just wanted to stop by and let everyone know that for the last 2 days I have been using an ego vision clearo. It has vaped just over 4ml and hasn't skipped a beat! There is still hope! I'm so thankfull after having nothing but failure with all the regular style cartos. I ordered two and got one free as a gift so I'm ultra excited. If these continue to perform this well I will have to get a map tank to try since it is similar in style to the ce2. I agree that the flavor is somewhat muted but I've found that the case with everything other than dripping. The ego-c has decent flavor but is so inconsistent that it's hardly worth the flavor vs this ego vision. I'm glad to have found something that actually works as it is supposed to. Happy Vaping -mse12

I emailed Cherry Vape and received an email within two hours asking for my address to send the replacement. Very great customer service experience with this vendor! Just thought I'd send out an update on the status of this broken drip tip. Happy Vaping -mse12

Well I have gone with the LT "clone". It is pretty much what I expected so far. I've only got LR atomizers at the moment, except for the two 3.0 ohm atty's that came with it, which I've not used yet. The quality is as good if not better than I expected for only $55. The battery life is pretty wild, two days has been the least I've gotten out of one of these 2250mah 18650's. I will probably use this as long as I can and then upgrade to just a basic, metal tube mod (minus the v.v.). I will probably get a mechanical mod next something that I will be able to use just an 18650 in. This was by all means an upgrade to a standard ego battery but is not the end of my tube mod purchases. For what came with the kit, the two batteries, the trustfire charger, the unit, the two atty's, and the metal drip tip I would say it was an easy $55 to spend. I don't know how much longer TW will carry this kit or if they even have any more left at this point but I would say it could be a decent option for a CHEAP price for anyone looking to get into their first mod or perhaps just their first V.V. mod. As far as putting it on a tester that may come later...I've got a multi-meter that has apparently bitten the dust so I don't know when I will replace that. I hope this thread may have helped or at least given some ideas to anyone who is in the same place I am/was. Overall I am happy with the purchase. Is it the best mod out there? Not by any means. Is it the best mod I could get for $55...probably so. Is it going to last? Who knows, hopefully I'll get a fair bit of use out of it but if not, have I really lost anything considering two batteries and a charger would typically cost around $35 by itself? Also, on an unrelated topic. I've received two ego vision clearos....WIN, working excellent so far! Happy Vaping, -mse12

I've been wanting a newer camera for awhile. This Nikon is a very basic model that I purchased in 08'. Great quality for the most part but little to no zoom and bad closeups and low light photos. I purchased a fujifilm today. It's by no means top of the line but a BIG step up from my Nikon in almost every department. I will still keep the Nikon as I can put it in my pocket and barely notice it's there. I had my eye on a cannon but couldn't beat the price of the fuji, i'm by NO means a professional at all so I couldn't justify $350. Happy Vaping -mse12

ROTFL! ...I live in rural TN so perhaps some camouflage would suffice! Or possibly some road worker orange. This made me smile, thank you! On another note, I have contacted the vendor from which I purchased this drip tip. I am currently waiting for their response. I have a feeling I will have to take this up with Cherry Vape directly. My only problem at the moment is my horrible Nikon camera is too lousy to take a close up to show the crack. According to Cherry Vape photos typically must be submitted for warranty issues. I went today to look at new cameras as this gives me a perfect excuse to upgrade my camera! WIN! Any suggestions on a nice camera for under $250? I know this is off topic and completely off forum in general...it'll be ok it'll be our secret! Happy Vaping -mse12

New And Need A Little Avice On My Next Purchase
mse12 replied to Dottymay's topic in New Vapers Forum
The least "airy" drag I've come across is on my ego-c (tornado-c from totally wicked) but same none the less. That has IMO a stiff draw. On the other hand I've got a 306 dripping atty that sounds and feels like I'm sucking air from a 3" PVC pipe lol, not stiff by any means. Both give a great vape for me but night and day difference. I would assume the next natural step in vaping would be something along the lines of an ego. You could always bypass that and move straight into the mods arena but you'll need to do your research (i'm still researching) and go from there. This thing we call vaping has unlimited possibilities and combinations so be prepared to have a LOT of trail and error. At least that has been my experience and still is for that matter. Happy Vaping -mse12 p.s. I started with blucigs back in 2010 and went back to analogs for over a year before I truly started my smoke free life. Stick with it and do not get discouraged to the point of going back. You will find something that works, it may not be 100% but it will work well enough to keep at it and enjoy it. For me that is direct dripping. It works well enough while I am still looking for MY perfect combination. -
Well I want to thank everyone for the advice but I believe I am officially done with this system. Now, that being said. I have for sale or trade: one 3.5ml green dct, one 6ml clear dct, two pre-punched dct cartos @ 1.5ohm (both tanks and pre-punched cartos are from Totally Wicked), as well as (15) Smoktech XL cartos @ 1.7ohm (these are stainless and ready to punch though not punched yet). If you purchased this equipment at retail it would be $63 not including shipping from TW. The cartos came from CCV and they have free shipping. I would much prefer to sell these together and would ask $40 via PayPal and that will include shipping. I will provide pictures if you would like. My email address is frederick.michael@rocketmail.com Happy Vaping -mse12

Good evening all. I'm using these on either ego batteries or the homemade puck box mod that runs roughly around 4.2v (fully charged). The juices I've used have varied quite a bit. I've used Johnson Creek (regular mix), Johnson Creek (Red Oak 100% VG line), Pink Spot (regular mix), Totally Wicked juice (regular mix), as well as juice from a local vendor at 70/30 pg/vg. All of the "regular mixes" mean I don't know that vendor's typical mix ratio, I assume 80/20 as that seems pretty common. I maybe wrong on that. My ego batteries are original Joye equipment. On a better note, today I received my delivery from Empiremods!!! 2: drip shields 1: 901 LR dripping atty 1: 510 LR drip atty 1: 306 xl drip tip 1: 510 to 901 adapter 1: 510 to 510 extender. @bear How do you fill your tanks? I recently saw a grimmgreen video (showing the johnboyusmc lava tank) where he shows to close it off with the air pocket over your hole or slot. Maybe this can be part of my issues. My very first tank experience was GREAT but since that first time I just can't get close to that again. My very first tank carto gave me over 20ml of perfect vaping. I apparently just belong on the vaping short bus. Haha. I'm currently vaping with my original ego-c setup. Everything else is dead or broken while I wait on my last round of orders to come in.... -mse12

Well anyone who followed my "am i too stupid to vape" thread knows where this is going. I can not get any cartomizers to work. I ordered 20 of the 1.7ohm xl smoktech "ressurectors". Out of probably the 8 that I've tried I've vaped maybe 5ml's total. None of these have worked well for me. I've had the same luck with the dcc from totally wicked. I've wasted probably close to 20ml or more of juice in these horrible things you call cartomizers. I've had at least 5 of these smoktech that i fill completely to find out they do not fire properly. They get hot but put out next to no vapor. One vaped about 4ml and started flooding, One vaped I'd imagine about 1ml and started tasting burnt. I'm sick of wasting my juice. I'm at a total loss with these. I put in an order today for 2 vision ego stardust a box of fluxomizers and a box of ce3 style bottom coil clearos. I'm determined to find something other than dripping that works like it should. I'm steering towards the clearos so that I will at least be able to salvage my juice if or when these stop working. Cartomizers seem like such a straight forward design I have a hard time accepting that they don't work for me. I've heard nothing but good things about the boge 2.0 and 3.0 so these may be my very last attempts at using a cartomizer. I want to use tanks. I own two xl tanks and can not use them because I can not get cartomizers to work. I have had one successful cartomizer experience and that was with one of the pre punched dcc from totally wicked. I actually vaped over 20ml in that one carto. It worked beautifully and now i can't get any of them to work much less work well. I'm looking I guess for advice or insight. I only fill by dripping into the top of carto's avoiding the center hole. I always fill to the top to where you can see the juice at the top of the poly fill. I know carto's have been a standard in this industry for years but I'm either not doing something right or I've been unlucky enough to get only bad cartos new. Thank you for listening to this rant. So here I am on break at work. I was vaping on my box mod when my battery dies. I go to unscrew my 306 atty and put it on my ego backup battery and the drip tip just slides right off. I take the atty off by itself and put it onto my ego, slide my drip tip on and now there's like a half inch crack up the side!!! This is an $8 Cannon from Cherry Vapes! I've been using it for less than 2 weeks. I've never over tightened it or anything....grrr. So as it sits now, I'm dripping into a busted drip tip and have no backups at home....so frustrated. I guess it's back to cartos for a few days while I wait on some more drip tips. Happy Vaping -mse12

Currently waiting on 2 drip shields, a torpedo (LT) kit, a 901 dripping atty, a 510 dripping atty, couple adapters, and some more juice....also a 306 xl drip tip....i need to try mixing my own. Maybe later this year. I've been vaping for about 2 months full time and still haven't found an "all day vape"...maybe one of these days. Happy Vaping -mse12

I agree about the branding. They're a classic example of "our s#@* doesn't stink" my biggest complaint about them is their forum rules suck. I mentioned ccv on one of my posts and got my a#& reamed over it. I failed to notice that no brand other than TW can be mentioned anywhere within their forums. I wasn't promoting or knocking them in anyway but yet they felt the need to make a scene. Regardless, another story completely. I think their torpedo may fit the ticket for what i'm wanting and within the budget. The reviews that i've found are generally decent, no product will ever make everyone happy so I take it all with a grain of salt. I bought my ego-c after going off reviews of it being so great and i despise ever buying that. It got me off of analogs but at that point I had no idea what good vs bad was in the vaping world. It was golden for the first couple weeks and i've not touched it since. So all in all i'm definitely leaning towards this "torpedo". I'll hook it up to a tester to see how it performs when I get it. I'll deffinitely post back with those results. For $55 it should at the very least be a good 3.7v mod with the 2200 18650s it has. Happy Vaping -mse12

Well, you are correct in assuming it is not "the lavatube". The unit I have my eyes on is the Torpedo by TW. I have done business with them on several occasions and I don't believe they sell complete junk. I may be completely wrong about this. The torpedo is originally $83 or so and they are having a major sell this week. The torpedo has fallen into that sale. I believe they are clearing inventory because they are bringing in a new model called the Odyssey. Perhaps the torpedo didn't take off quite like they expected but I've not found any negative information regarding it. Everyone I've heard or read from says it's just another lavatube, no frills, just works. They carry a 1 year warranty on the unit as well. Also to the silver bullet, unfortunately that comes in over the $100 mark. It would be close to $120 before shipping and if I'm going to spend $120+ why not just buy the Helix? There is quite a long list of options that would be "better" than this clone LT but I'm attempting to stay inside this $100 spending limit.
-
...I should have said I could order a provari right now...BUT I want to vape and continue speaking to my wife...lol money isn't my issue for the amount but for the repercussions of spending it. Just throwing that out there...
-
The lavatube would not be a bad option. I mainly vape LR so the LT would be seemingly pointless for that but it should still perform as well as other 3.7v tube mods if I'm not mistaken. It will still run on 18650's and I would have the option to vape at higher volts with SR equipment. I'm leaning towards this for sure. If you know of anything that might be better suited let me know. I'm mainly looking for battery life. I'm a semi-heavy vaper. I also need to be able to put this in a pocket and go. I work in a factory setting and I'm tired of carrying around 2 ego batteries to make it through my shift (12.5 hr). I just want a solid vape. I'm not looking for a provari or darwin. Although I would LOVE to get the kick when it's available...who knows when that'll be. I know the kick wouldn't work with the LT...hmm...I don't really know what I want vs what I need. I could buy a provari right now but I really don't think it'd be worth the extra $$ for what you get. I just need opinions. I may hold off on ordering for a day or two just to get a better idea. I'm in the market for a tube mod. I'm looking to stay within $100 for everything including the mod itself, batteries, charger, and shipping. I have found a lavatube kit for $55 which includes the unit, (2) 2200mah 18650's, charger, (2) stand res atomizers. There's also of course the bolt by smoktech. I can get the unit for $46 with the 18650 extension sleeve. This comes with one 18490 battery, no charger. I want something but without breaking my $100 budget. I know there are many other options if I were to go to $150 but I need to stay at or under $100 out the door. Any ideas would be great! I'll be checking this thread throughout today and will probably make an order this evening. Let me know what you have or what your thoughts are on the lavatube or bolt. I'm open to any tube style mods. Thanks in advance. -mse12

Do you think a boge 2.0 with a short tank may be the solution? I've got the xl tanks that came with dual coil cartos from totally wicked. So far i've had no luck with any of them, as far as the cartos go. I REALLY want to use the tanks as I vape over 2mls a day and want an easy setup. I'm currently dripping because that's the only way I can somewhat keep everything working and tasting ok. Also, I was using that 1.7ohm xl smoktech and it worked well for about 3 days and now while it still produces great vapor I'm getting burnt flavor. I've given up with that one. I really want to get a carto such as the ce2 or something to that effect. I'm seeing a lot on here about the ego vision. I may give that one a shot. I just want something thats not going to flood and/or leak all the time. I also want to know how I can use a drip shield on a 306 dripping atty that I got from smartvapes. I bought the cannon drip tip but i'm thinking that wont work with a drip shield. I'm currently dripping on a standard 510 titan atty from totally wicked that i debridged and dewicked. It's a winner but I think my expectations are pretty low at this point. I want to get an HH357 but they're out of stock on the xl tubes. I'm not a fan of the juice popping in my mouth although I'm getting used to it at this point. I don't think that $22 for one atty is bad at all if it's working as well as most say. I look at the fact that I paid $8 for the regular 510 atty that I'm using now. So basically the 357 is like buying two of these but from what I'm reading they're the best thing since sliced bread so I'm ready to give it a go. I just hope to find a good setup for myself before too long. -mse12

Thank you for the reassurance. I love vaping, I really do I just seem to run into a lot of problems. I've been vaping on this carto for the last 3 breaks at work tonight and it's a nice solid vape. Yay! How do you normally top off? So far I've just been dropping about 5 drops or so at a time until the poly fill looks wet. So far so good. This xl carto looks pretty funny by itself. I bought them to punch and go into the tanks I was talking about earlier and by themselves they're just very long....and shiny for that matter since they're stainless. Looks like I'm vaping an antenna or something! Haha. Anyway, I'm very interested in getting a cleromizer of some sort. I use ego batteries as well as a box mod that I made which is also a 510. Is a clearomizer a ce2? What is the difference between a ce2 vs ce3 and ce4?
-
So I'm using a carto today minus the tank I referred to earlier. It's working so far without issue. I've really not used it much so far tonight. How do I know when it's time to refill or top off? Do I just wait for a burnt taste or just when the top looks dry? I thought I had a pretty good grasp on the basics of vaping but now I start to wonder if I really know anything about it. Hmm...analogs are/were so much easier than this... -mse12
-
i will definitely try the cartos minus the tank. I bought 20 smoktech 1.7 ohm xl cartos for like $21 a couple weeks back. I just need a better option than dripping for work. I do enjoy dripping but it becomes tedious on breaks etc. I also have a dripping question. I bought a 510 atty and removed the wick/bridge after the 2nd week of use due to burnt taste. That has helped. Once I realized that I enjoy dripping I bought a "dripping atty" it's a 306 without a bridge. I seem to flood it constantly. I'm using a cannon drip tip with it but the atty itself has a lip around the top and when i drip down the tip the juice just seems to sit on the lip... I end up trying another drop or two and then like clockwork it floods. I don't know, i like the draw on the 510 better anyway. I'm just having a heck of a time finding what works for me. I know i'm saving money and health in the long run but it seems like i've spent a ton on stuff that just isnt working out right...it's probably just user error... : S

Hello all, I've been vaping for just over a month. I started with an ego-c, I do not like the ego-c at all. I purchased a couple tanks, I've had nothing but flooding with both pre-punched dual coil's as well as single coils that i punch. I've tried single holes, multiple holes, slots, you name it I've tried it. I usually get about 3ml's worth of good vapes and then it all just goes south. I end up getting the gurgle/flooding and can never get that carto to work properly after that. I make sure that when I fill I do not get any fluid into the center of the carto. I usually let them sit for an hour or more to make sure juice has distributed evenly. I'm at a total loss. I think I am stuck to dripping full time but this is not good for work or driving. I am sooo close to giving this up. When my equipment works I love it but sadly that rarely is the case! I need desperate help!!!! Please someone... -mse12

New Vaper Looking For The Perfect Fit (Joye Ego-C?)
mse12 replied to danpio1217's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Hello there. I am also a new-ish vaper. I thought I had done my research when I purchased my ego-c. IMO that was $100 down the toilet. I've had nothing but heartache and frustration with the ego-c setup. I do like the batteries although depending on your style you probably won't get a full day out of the 650mah. I've got the two 650mah that came with my kit and also a 1000mah "passthrough" although it's just a different charger option. The best experience i've had so far have come from a dual coil carto tank system and a regular 510 atty that I drip on. For me on the ego-c the wicks never worked properly, the flavor was extremely muted, i just dont believe it is for me. I have heard of many ppl who love this system but sadly i am not one of them. My ego-c stuff is tucked away in the bottom of my vapor box...good luck it's all about trial and error.
