  1. I'll definitely be picking this up when I need a new ego-style battery!
  2. Welcome to the world of rba's we have a new sub forum under ecig technical. I've been using an AGA-S for about a week now and I love it. Works well as long as you build it well. Lol, I've got a dripping rba coming in hopefully tomorrow. I expect to love it just as much. I say go for it. For less than 30 you can get the unit plus supplies so it's not a heavy investment if you don't like it. While if you do like it you'll have enough supplies to easily last a couple months if not more. I hope to see you in the new sub!
  3. I guess I need to pick up a 510-ego adapter...all of these new and shiny ego units make me wonder if I'm missing anything.
  4. No problem in my eyes. Every time someone jokes about it or makes a bogus statement I get an even bigger more obvious looking device. I think 99% of my coworkers are use to it by now. I usually get the whole "man, that looks like you're hitting a bong" and I just laugh and shake my head. They know its not but whatever. Idiots will be idiots. When they are on their deathbed with lung cancer I'll stop by and ask them how does that "bong" look now?
  5. Well I shouldn't have but I just bought my first REALLY BIG battery mod! Yay!! Most are thinking of an 18650...nope. I got a bombshell stinger en route from Hotvapes! This thing takes a 26650 plus the kick! Score! I bought one of hotvape's 3500mah MNKE IMR batteries. I also bought two more additional 26650's. One a 4000mah IMR and the other a "high drain" 3600mah both from www.batteryspace.com we'll see how these two work out. The IMR should be just fine but we'll see about the other it's used in extreme high-drain application up to 18A so I'm not sure how it'll work on a 2-3A load which will be typical with the kick. We'll see for sure. I'm ultra excited for the new toys!
  6. That was a quote above ^. McQuinn gets that credit.
  7. That's awesome! My wife is always telling me to put my "junk" up. I need something like this.
  8. I've heard that it keeps the strain on the batteries lower using stacked vs single because the mod is now limiting the power vs boosting it. I do NOT know from experience and please don't take my word and blow yourself up! This is just what I've been hearing/reading recently. A lot of people are having great experiences stacking 18350's in the vamo. I really wish I knew enough about battery chemistry to give a constructive answer. I work with a chemical engineer and will ask him but I doubt he will even know honestly. I work in the rubber industry so I'm not sure about his experience with battery composition. I will post in a few day to let you know his opinion if he even has one. FWIW stacking IMR batteries is different than stacking CR123A's as they are different chemistry LiMn(IMR) vs LiMnO2(CR123) I don't know what that means in the operating differences but it is a definitive difference.
  9. Awesome, thank you for the links! I've currently got two 4"x6" #400 mesh sheets (minus the one wick I've made). I've also got 10' of 30ga and probably about 8.5' of 32ga kanthal a-1. I picked these both up where I bought the rba's from myvaporstore.com . I'm sure I over paid but hopefully not too bad. I will definitely keep these links for future orders. Thank you!
  10. Hehe, I agree Uma I just doubt the vendor will lol. Oh well I'll either buy a wrap or I heard someone talk about using a piece of heat shrink but I've yet to find a piece large enough in diameter for the vamo. I need at least 22mm just to get the vamo inside it then it'll shrink over that with heat...we'll see. If I can find shrink I'll use it in a heartbeat. I like the rugged look and texture of the heat shrink I've used in the past. We'll see.
  11. Less than $100 compared to what? The provari? The poldiac? The provari is hardly touched in build quality and customer satisfaction. I don't even own one and I know that much. I own a vamo and while a decently functioning mod it sucks in both build quality and my satisfaction at this point. I'm on my second vamo due to the first one falling apart, the vendor replaced it which was good but on this second unit the "gun-metal" finish is wearing off in less than the first week of use. So that's a big fail. I understand the price is the biggest selling point and I'm not arguing that but it can't really compare to the provari just by price tag alone. If I had bought a provari as my first mod I'm 99% sure I would've not bought four different mods. That's just an assumption and I'm not attacking you I just don't see a real comparison between the two. This is just my $.02. As for the poldiac that's like one of the ferrari's of the vaping world. We all look and drool but only a select crowd ever really buy one. Talk to Uma for info on that one as she just ordered hers.
  12. Personally in my experience 100% vg doesn't do very well in many units. I'm not saying it can't do well but the bulk of the times I've seen it hasn't. I stick to a 50/50 mix with perfect results. As far as cleaning I've only stuck with hot water so I'm sure vodka would be better. No idea honestly though.
  13. Dual coils produce more vapor for some individuals but at the same time drink more juice. Dual coils are also picky when it comes to variable voltage devices. Many devices will not allow you to push a dual coil to voltage it needs in order to perform to its potential. Many such as the original lavatube will scale back the voltage to whatever it thinks you need regardless what you set it at. At the same time there are many vapers that swear by dual coils. For me it's not worth the costs or problems associated with them. I stick to single coil boge or smok cartos.
  14. No love for the new sub! lol Let's get some more threads going in here! Maybe it just needs time.

    Igo-L Dripper

If anyone's wondering why I've not updated this please ask the lovely USPS sorting facility in Brooklyn NY...it sat there for what appears to be almost 3 full days before moving....not cool. Hopefully will have this in my hands this time tomorrow.

    Aga-S

Update: Well now being about 4-5 days in I'm still pretty happy. The only other delivery system I've used is my trusted boge carto tanks. I'm on coil #4. This is measuring at 1.4ohm. No hot spots. Out of 4 coils I've had 3 working coils. #1 vaped shortly before developing the hot spot. #2 died pretty much as soon as it was wrapped. #3 only was removed so I could wash the wick....had it wrapped too tightly. #4 is working great, had a small hot leg by the negative screw but was able to wiggle it out. I'm about 6-8 tanks into this coil and it's working very well. So far being the first RBA I've used I'm happy. I will be picking up the AGA-T+ soon, probably in the next couple weeks but not sure. I would love to have this setup with about a 3ml tank instead of this 1ml. I'm still needing o-rings but between working and being busy haven't really even looked for them.
  17. Well I washed it in water and re-burned and seasoned it. Taste is about 98% gone...perhaps the other 2% is just mental.
  18. There are many Dekang loyalist here as they were some of the first juices out there. I've only had one dekang but it wasn't for me. Everyone has their favorites. I loved AVE juice but almost 90% of the time I tried to re-order either their site was down, or the owner was sick, or they were out of stock. I'm not playing that game trying to order juice. I want it to be there when I'm ready to order. I don't feel like playing the chasing game to give someone my money. That's just me though, and I do really enjoy their juice.
  19. I see ribbed but what about studded? Everyone has their preferences...hahaha, couldn't resist.
  20. It's been my experience that EVERYTHING from that vendor is over-priced. Just my opinion. They got me started so can't totally bash but just my $.02. Must cheaper and better/more honest vendors out there.
  21. I think some of the highest mah ratings for the stick style are around like 280? Don't hold me to that. I personally use 18650 mah mods that run around 2000mah depending on the battery. I think I'm close to picking up a 26650 mod and those run between about 3500-4500mah depending on the battery. Everyone has their own cup of tea. One of the best things about vaping. There's no one size fits all.
  22. Welcome. Must be nice to enjoy all the free time you have. Enjoy VT.
  23. Hey it's called Marcado and can be found here. Hope you enjoy it if you try it out!
  24. That's it! I couldn't remember the name!
