  1. I think it's all convenience, I recently got one of my uncles to buy a starter kit with tobacco flavor juice. But I suspect he still smokes, he's old school but really good with electronics and maintenance, he didn't want a manual battery when we were ordering since he smokes while using both hands. When I smoked, I knew it took an average 7 minutes to finish a cigarette, and i was done for a few hours, it was my timer in a way. And with honesty, I enjoyed it. I had to make the decision I wanted to quit. My uncle wants to quit but at the same time he loves the analogs. It's his timer when his break is up, it's his relaxation when he's kicking back after working. It's really hard to break a routine you've been doing for years... To me, picking up a pack and smoking is easier to do, with vaping you have to dedicate yourself and want to quit smoking. But it's hard cause a few things I found annoying with vaping was waiting for orders or having parts break on you, I know it takes 2-3 days for delivery but you can simply walk down the street to the gas station or liquor store and pick up a pack then to wait 2-3 days to replace a broken atty/battery or juice refills. Patience is key, I suppose. I've learned I have to order more then I think I would need so I don't get stuck in away. One of the hardest parts was I recently broke one of my 901 batteries and was left with 1 auto battery, I haven't ordered any of sort replacement yet (except for several juices and a replacement atty) I'm waiting to save money for a VP1 or VP2. I was at a cousin's birthday party and the battery died on me. With vaping socially, what I learned is you better have plenty of juice and a long lasting battery... I unconsciously found myself standing next to my uncles who were smoking, I didn't bum a cigarette. I was really damn close though... even had a dream about me bumming a cigarette off them and feeling guilty for not sticking with vaping.
  2. I seem to read VT more then any of the other forums like ECF. VT seems more personal in a way, guess that's why I signed up for this forum.
  3. man, that's one creative mod!
  4. I got mines from vaporkings, but I wouldn't say it was crappy, you can just... 'feel' the difference with different carts. I believe it is just random with any cart. The prefilled starter kits just seem to slide out of atomizer for me. And the blanks slightly fit but seem to feel restricted, but have a few that actually came out pretty good, but most blanks I have to put a little more effort then usual when taking draws. But the pre-filled carts seem perfect, snaps into my 901 perfectly and taking draws doesn't feel too restricted. Once I'm done with the pre-filled I usually just drip into those. Keenan, it might be just random carts since they have that white glue/tape to keep the filler on.
  5. Awesome video review, glad to see other options.
  6. I did noticed this when I got my starter kit, the 2 cover ones slide off easily which I never used. But the pre-filled carts I ordered separately, snaps to fit and vapes pretty good (flavor and throat hit). But the blank carts I had, really felt 'restricted'. I do notice a definite different design. Then again, I rarely direct drip since I'm still on automatic battery.
  7. I'm not sure what to say, except thank you for sharing. Scooter will be missed.
  8. Haha, read the whole thing through, it certainly an entertaining read.
  9. Congrats Green, too awesome! "Would you vape me? I'd vape me, I'd vape me hard!" Laughed pretty hard one that one.
  10. Hm, don't think there isn't any known codes... yet, or atleast any I know of. I'm a stickler for savings. I think there was a topic in the supplier forums asking if there was any discount codes for dietsmokes, not sure if that thread has been answered through.
  11. Happy Veteran's Day! Many thanks to who served and those who continue to serve!!
  12. Awesome vid review, still waiting on some cash so I can grab one of these bad boys!
  13. How weird, I have a 901 auto battery die also! LED lights up but doesn't heat up the atty, used another atty and also didn't work. I used another battery and the atty works fine. So I suspected it was the battery. Found no way to fix it, so decided to tear the sucker apart and saw that the metal connection flipped on to it's side, I guess I was drawing on it too hard.
  14. This is just sad, my prays go out to the young child and his parents, must be hard for the parents. Can't imagine what they must be feeling.
  15. Only place I know of is awesome vapor but last time i checked they were out of stock.
  16. Wow.. Just, Wow! I'm sure "CRAP! Why didn't I think of that!" would've been too cliche to write. :P
  17. Actually, Mistorfog has a point. When I first researched e-cigs for the first time, a few months back, I only found out about Blu brands, totally wicked start packs and smokeeverywhere types. They went for well over 100-150 dollars! That totally turned me away, since my mentality was, "It might not even last long or have too much maintance and just break while only a pack of cigerettes is only 6 bucks (it's now 8-9 dollars now)." But because I was trying to quit smoking, I ended up researching more to see if this was truly the "brand" names it made it out to be, then discovered ECP and VT forums. I spent almost 150 bucks and almost got twice as much stuff then I got with those so called "named brands" starter kits! I would've definitely be pretty peeved if I found out I just over payed. It would be really awesome if my local smoke shop carried e-cigs, I sorta miss the Korean lady that sold me my cartons every 2 weeks. It got to the point where I'd walk in and she grab the carton and ring me up before I even hit 2 steps into her store. Hm, I should pay a visit and show off my e-cig!
  18. Haha, I knew something was fishy when I hear people saying that 10ml last them forever! And here I am with a 10ml coffee flavor almost gone within 14 days! When I started, I was pretty much vaping every hour or so, I wasn't sure if it was me, subconsciously, trying to adjust the nicotine intake (I got like 18MG). But now it's different. I drip like 3-5 drops into the cart and I can vape for maybe half a day now. But, when I first started, I dripped like crazy where I'd get juice in my mouth all the time. I guess it's cause I'm so noob I didn't know what a good amount to drip was until I found my nitch. If I direct drip, it's usually just 3-4 instead of the 5-6 I've been reading about. But lately, been using carts that have been used up and drip about 6-8 drops into them then 1-2 on the atty, which usually lasts a good 4-5 hours. If I constantly vape, it would last maybe about half, 2-3 hours.
  19. I thought the 801 had a manual battery, Chris. I think Arno sells them.
  20. Hi Scout, welcome! Vaporkings 901 starter kit is what me and my brother got!! I love it, took us a few days to adjust from smoking to vaping. It was an odd switch, the first experience was like smoking but it had it's own little learning curve. But in the end,It was enough for me to get off analog smoking. What I would suggest is getting plenty of juice and atomizers, which you already mentioned, so your pretty much set. It took me about a week to get through a 10ML bottle, but then again, I was so noob, I probably wasted drops where it wasn't even needed. Order a few backups (just in case, moments!) if you can afford it. At the time, I was doubtful (Yes, I had my doubts about vaping! ) So didn't order any backups. Now, I'm planning out getting DIFFERENT models and mods and new attys! 801 low bride on a vaprlife VP2/3 and a VP-PT. Vaporkings has excellent support, one of the atomizers died in my 901 starter kit (14 Day DoA on parts) and Rob was kind of enough to send a replacement. The first time I ordered, the juice ended up running low within a week and a half. so ordered 3 more juices from other vendors.
  21. Thanks for the info, it's appreciated for sure! But, then started to read... and numbers, brain hurt.. then, huh? Where am I?
  22. So far, only a week free. I've noticed when I vape I've just vape until I can feel my lungs build up. Which I've never done before, I can even breath in until my lungs build up, unlike when I smoked, I was easily out of breath or only had short breaths. In the mornings, I don't really cough up anything anymore or have an itchy throat, unlike when I used to smoke. I used have this itch, scratchy urge in my throat. It was the most annoying thing ever.
