Actually, VG is very sweet. PG is supposed to be flavorless for the most part. If you don't like sweet vapes I can make a few suggestions: 555 - As some members have pointed out, its a tobacco based flavor, a little nutty, slightly bitter. Flue Cured - Heavy tobacco flavor, very rich. Slightly bitter. Vapor Talk Exotic Tobacco - Its like a blend of 555 and Camel. It has a good flavor with a slightly nutty flavor. Overall my favorite tobacco flavored vape. Hilton - Another good tobacco flavor. Slightly spicy. Marlboro - I think this tastes like an ashtray and have never cared for the varieties I have tried. Camel - Very rich, and quite spicy. Will stay in an atty forever. Good occasional vape. French Pipe - Just like it sounds. Smells and tastes like pipe tobacco. Hope that helps some

I've had all the RY flavors except 1 and I can tell you this, RY2 and RY3 are nothing like RY4. RY3 is almost "fruity" tasting to me.

What Are You Vaping Today?

Took off a little early today to hit the post office. So I'm in unwind mode at home now. That means some Dulcis and a little incense for atmosphere. -

Started off my day with some Cinnamon Roll from Dawn at Ecigsmokestore.com, which is an amazing liquid if you haven't tried it. I'm at the office now and have switched over to RY4 from mist-stix.com. They have great pricing btw, if you enjoy any of the Chinese flavors. -

Hilton, 555, Kent, Camel, Marlboro, etc. are all actual analog brands that have been imitated in e-juice. Although nothing like the real thing due to the lack of "burning", some of them actually come fairly close to the smell the brand has before it is lit. -

As an ex Camel smoker I'm curious how you would describe the wordup camel flavor. I've tried a number of camel flavors including Dekang, TW, and others and find them far from the mark. I've tried a Dekang Pepsi that was spot on, I wonder if it is similar. I haven't tried any of the wordup juices yet, but I might have to give them a try. No reviews so far that I have seen. -
I Need Some Guidance In Picking The Right E-Cigarette
IndyColtsfan replied to s4nt0s's topic in New Vapers Forum
The 510 is a very popular model and is quite small. You can get batteries in both auto and manual for it. The parts are available almost everywhere and are well priced. I've never used the 901 so I don't know that much about it. -

Sounds like I need to put the Grape Soda on my "must try" list. Seems to have quite a following -
Very cool idea! I'm sure I can come up with a Kentucky Derby postcard somewhere around here. That is about the only reason anyone would ever come to Louisville.

I agree, but I think part of the reason is because space is "the great unknown" and the ocean is where we go for vacation. People have less of a desire to hear about a new species of coral and more of a desire to find out if E.T. is hiding somewhere out there. I'm all for more exploration of what sits right at our feet, but the romance isn't there for the common man.

Thought this would be an interesting topic. I vape at work and tend to pick a flavor for the day that I have a taste for, based on my mood. I'm always eager to hear what other people like as well, as I love trying new flavors. Today its rainy and cold outside here. So I am switching between 36mg PG based Peach that I made myself and 24mg VT Exotic Tobacco. How about you?

I'd second that. Smoking Everywhere is not someone I'd direct you to. I only say this because it is how my best friend discovered vaping and, in turn, how I discovered it. Their products are vastly overpriced and their "warranty" is a joke. He had a bad atomizer that failed after about 2 weeks of use and they would not replace it, saying they only replaced unopened product. You can do so much better and save tons of money. Look into a reseller like Arno or someone before falling for the Smoking Everywhere sales pitch. Do some research on buying your own juice and refilling your own carts. Your wallet will thank you. Chris sells VT juice through Dietsmokes.com that is top notch stuff. I probably have about 800ml of 5-10ml tester sizes that I have tried and his ranks right up there at the top. There are a number of models that look like an analog cigarette, it just takes some searching online to find the one that is right for you. -
Zero Nicotine Juices And Throat Hit
IndyColtsfan replied to Alex5's topic in DIY e Liquid Discussion
The nicotine accounts for most, if not all, of the throat hit from what I have found. I've done a LOT of liquid testing over the past two months and I can feel confident in telling you that the higher the nic strength, the better the throat hit. Also, PG seems to help with throat hit over VG. Not sure of the reason there. But an 11mg strength and 24mg strength, same flavor and same vendor, will deliver an obvious difference in throat hit. Trying to get throat hit from a 0mg juice might be a tough battle to fight. I've heard adding a small amount of Tabasco sauce to your mix will help, but I am not sure what that would do for your atty. Diluted enough it should be ok. Haven't tested this myself though. Good luck! -
Help Me Find The Right Mod Or Custom
IndyColtsfan replied to IndyColtsfan's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I did notice the VP3 is coming out soon. Based on the feedback I've seen on the VP2, that might be a good fit. I think it covers just about everything except the passthrough. I vape at work and the passthrough is just a really nice feature to have. It isn't a make or break thing though if the battery life is good and the vapor is consistent. Size might be a problem with the VP3, but maybe it will be small -
LOL. God I hope not. Chris and Sean are great on reviews, but I'm gonna take a pass on that one Chris: Ok, today we will be reviewing Nicolaxx! Sean: Oh boy... Chris: Ok, Sean will be trying the 18mg strength, and I'll be going for 36mg strength! Sean: I feel sick... Chris: You just remove the wrapper like so. It's ready to go. Sean, please be so kind....

Joye Atomizers Metallic Taste...
IndyColtsfan replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
None I have found. If you want to PM me your info I'll send you one to try. I have over a dozen of them -
Ok, so as I have stated in other threads, I'm trying to make an educated decision on a mod. Considering that most are in the $100+ range I don't want to just order a few and see which I like. Hopefully the veterans here will be able to suggest a few that meet my criteria. I have certain desires from a mod. I don't think they can all be met with one mod, so I'm looking for the mod that is the closest to what I want by meeting the most requirements. So below are my list of "wants" from a mod. These are not in any special order. 1. Portable - I don't want a huge mod. The Chuck is a good example of that. I need something small enough to not require a briefcase to carry it. 2. Adapable - I'd prefer a mod that can use multiple atty types. I know you can make adapters, but I'm too lazy. 3. 5v Option - I'd prefer a mod that can do 3.7v and 5v vaping. 4. Sturdy - I don't want a fragile mod that I have to constantly worry about being careful with. 5. Long Lasting - I don't want to constantly have the thing, or its batteries, in a charger. 6. Built in Passthrough - The Janty Stick is a good example. I love this feature. 7. Affordable - Spending over $100 on a mod is pushing it. $150 would probably be my limit. 8. Good looking - I don't want to vape on something I'd consider to be an eyesore. 9. Battery Options - I'd like to be able to use multiple types of batteries. Makes finding a bargain easier. 10. Quailty Construction - Solid frame and parts. Few moving pieces, if any, other than a button. Zero wiring and solder if possible. So there are my requirements. I guess any mod could get a 1 to 10 score, depending on how many of these requirements it meets. Maybe this will help me rank them and find that "just right" mod for me. Thanks for any help in advance!!

I have purchased VG juice from cignot.com in the past. I believe it is just Dekang special order using VG instead of PG.

Joye Atomizers Metallic Taste...
IndyColtsfan replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
This was one of the reasons I moved from the 510 to the 801. I always got a metallic taste when I would drip. Looking back, I am pretty sure all of my 510 attys are Joye. I haven't tried the 801 LB that Arno sells yet, but I've been very happy with the BE112 models from bestecig.com. I never bothered with carts for the 510 because they are such a pain to deal with. After trying PTB, wool, steel screen, and a host of other cart mods I just tossed it all aside and settled on the 801. -
Is the low bridge atty from Arno similar to the BE112? I have a few of those as well as some TW 801 adapters and they are pretty much the same as far as flavor and vapor production from what I have been able to tell. I started with a 510 and have a few attys for those as well. If I do end up going with a VP2 or other similar mod I'll definately want one that can take advantage of multiple types of attys.
-
Thanks for the link. So the VP1 and 2 is another battery mod. Maybe I'm missing it, but I fail to see how people rate these mods over each other. Basically, you are talking about a mod that extends the battery life of a standard e-cig battery, but does not deliver additional voltage. How does that make a difference for anything other than life? It seems every review I see they talk about "plumes of vapor" and whatnot. Isnt that more a function of the liquid and atomizer? A 3.7v battery, no matter what the casing looks like, should produce an equal amount of vapor as any other when the same liquid and atty are used. I do know that batteries have a "falloff" where the voltage diminishes, and that falloff takes longer to reach on a higher maH battery. But using this logic, isnt a Janty Stick = VP1 or 2 = Screwdriver = any other 3.7v mod?
