Anxiously waiting for mine to arrive.. I have been looking at this mod for a while and had to buy it over the others for a few reasons - - Price can't be beat - Built-in USB charger/passthrough (this is the one that finally got me - the only thing stopping me from buying any of the other custom mods was the fact that I didn't want another charger to F with) - Kill switch so I can safely carry it in my pocket I could have wired up a similar box for myself, and still might since I love doing that sort of stuff, but it wouldn't look nearly as good as this one or have the USB features. Plus he has made enough of these that he has the design down to a science, when I make my own I'm sure it'll be ugly as hell. I'll see if I can follow up with a review once I get mine (I'm guessing by Thursday I'll have it)

Oh man.. I won't get too in to it, but I've been a total music ***** (not in the groupie sense, lol) since I was about 15. I've seen Phish about 60 times (going again tonight!), and saw The Disco Biscuits about.. 180 times. Not even going to add the countless nights I spent at Roseland, The Wetlands.. I'm sure I broke the 1,000 concert mark. Even met my wife at a Disco Biscuits show. All that pretty much stopped once the kids came along though So it sounds like I'm the modern version of keenan then Wish I could have seen some of those shows with ya! I did see Simon and Garfunkel last time they played, which was a real treat.

I just made my first purchase of juice since running out of the bottles I got from Arno, and I decided to go with Geoff at Tasty Vapor (www.tastyvapor.us). I still really want to see what everyone's raving about and get me some VT juice, but that will have to be next. The cheapskate in me just couldn't turn down this deal So what's his deal? Well first, he's got great flavors, at least from the two that I have tried - more on those later. He sells 30ml bottles of juice for $15, which by itself isn't too exciting. He has 12mg, 24mg, 36mg, and 48mg. But things really get interesting when you buy a doubler - a 120ml (!) bottle of 0mg juice, in either PG, VG or a 50/50 mix, but with the same concentration of flavor. So you can buy the 48mg juice and cut it down to whatever strength you want with the doubler, and save quite a bit of cash, and the calculations are easy to do since you are only mixing two liquids. For example, I wanted to mix up a bit of 18mg, so I added 3 drops of 48mg with 5 drops of 0mg (repeated many times, of course), and didn't have to worry about diluting the flavor. Or, if you already have one of those flavors from someone else, you can just buy the doubler in that flavor or another flavor that complements it, and again dilute your juice without losing flavor. I think it's a fantastic idea. Of course, none of this matters if it doesn't taste good. Does it? Yes! Again, I'm still a noob and have only tried one other vendor's juices before, so I probably can't speak about this subject as eloquently as I could about beer. For myself, I ordered the Butterfinger mix in 48mg, with a 50/50 doubler. My friend got Cherry/Vanilla in 48mg, with a VG doubler. Both flavors were fantastic - tasted as advertised (I swore I was eating the candy!) without any noticeable aftertaste and without being overwhelming. I've only had this stuff for a couple of days, but I'm really happy with what I got. He's also got really good customer service and fast shipping. There are a few video reviews out there (search youtube for tasty vapor) of his other flavors, like butter rum, tropical punch, and tobacco.

Hey, figured I'd update you guys. After my last post I was still not getting it right and went back to my cartridge. Tried a few other cartridge mods, nothing worked right, so I tried dripping again. Turns out 2 drops was the magic number for my 510 (at least with Arno's juice, not sure if other juice will give different results) But it's perfect, and I totally get it now. 2 drops lasts um.. 5-7 drags and gives great flavor and vapor. And I can totally pick up when the taste changes and the vapor cuts off, and add another drip or two when I get low. Thanks for all the advice! Seeing so many people having success with direct dripping inspired me to keep at it, and it finally works! I have other juice on the way (sadly not VT juice yet, that'll be next but I found a good deal to stock myself up and I hate being low on supplies), finally finishing up the two bottles I got with my initial order, so hopefully that doesn't mess my routine up too much . If it goes well maybe I'll do a review.

also, if I have my user profile set to use the lo-fi theme, I get that no matter if I'm using my phone or my PC, which is kind of annoying. Hopefully what Chris is talking about will auto-detect my browser

That was my guess too. I'll try with less drops, thanks. I was worried that if I used too little I might burn the atty out.

OK, so I've had my 510 for a couple of weeks, and I'm still not getting the hang of this. I've watched Chris's video, read the forums, etc.. Right now I'm still filling a cartridge, I used the so-called straw mod for it and it's working fine for me. I do about 3 drops to top it off and I get maybe 7 good hits before I top it off again. No burnt taste, I've replaced the filling a couple of times so that's not really an issue. But I keep getting the feeling that dripping -should- work better, it's just not. I must be doing something wrong. I tried with a clean atty (blew out all of the juice and let it dry upside down for a while), put 3 drops on, but it doesn't hit well, it seems like it's flooded. Finally get a couple good puffs then when the vapor drops off I add say, 2 more drops. Every time I try this I get a mouthful of juice, and it leaks out of the side, neither of which happens when I'm using the cartridge. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks for all of the great advice everyone gave me. I ordered my 510 from Arno on Thursday, got it on Monday, and haven't touched an analog since. I know it's only been a day and a half, but I already feel so much better. I'm still getting used to this thing and playing around with the different juice that I got, using carts vs dripping, etc (hell, I paid for the carts, I'm at least going to use them!) My hand-eye coordination is pretty good if I may say, from years of video games and guitar playing, so I already got the hang of walking down the street, holding a coffee cup, while taking the cart off and dripping. It'll probably be a while before I get any other models, even though I really wish I could try a VP2, and my inner geek really wants to build my own battery mod one day. I'm pretty sure I'll be happy with what I have for a while though. I think my first project will be to build a case for my 510 and all my accessories - right now I carry around 2 batteries, 2 attys, a spare cart, and a tiny 3ml bottle of juice - I think I could fit it all in to this little Altoids tin I have if I can cut a piece of foam just right
