@JayH... Don't. I've purchased 4 sets from them.. that's 8 kgo batteries. Some were gifts. Of all of those batteries, there are only 4 that are still alive. That's half. Half. @mquinn... Yes. That's what I thought. These kgos are most assuredly made by... someone else. The feel is different, the weight.. the quality. I hope the same has not happened with the ego.

Yes, yes.. I dropped my Provari in the deep end of an Olympic-sized pool. You have never seen someone dive so fast or with more determination, I'll tell you. I caught that thing before it hit the bottom, and after some cpr (on my provari), it's working great. Even the 306 atty on it was just fine. Ha.

Anyone notice the quality of the kgo batteries have declined? I've ordered 4 kgo kits thusfar for myself and various friends and, invariably, one just peters out, burns up, or just simply fails. The first kit, the ones with the gold rim, worked great... but, recently, the last 3 I ordered, well.. see above. Anyone else have this problem?

Ah, no, they were muted from the beginning, sadly. I did consider that they were getting old, however. So, I tried my neighbor's with her pina colada. It was fantastic. But, just to be sure, I tried her pina colada in an atty. Pretty close! I was very impressed. I wasn't planning on ordering those again, but I think now I will!

My first kgo charger quit working as well. I bought a few extras from hoosierecigsupply.. for some reason, I trust them. They have a specific charger for the kgo. It's the 500 mA Mike wrote about. Luckily, it wasn't my only ecig. But, I really do advise you get a few of those 'just in case'. Sorry that happened to you, too.

I tried the vision ego clearomizer.. my newly converted neighbor had me order her one for her pina colada. It was amazing. Very odd. It looks just like my ego elegance.. which still works 2 months later.. and her flavors are not muted at all. Mine are. Hmmmm...

I'll put another flavor out there for you. I think it was mega who turned me on to this. Dunhill from www.myfreedomsmokes.com It's the closest thing to an analog that I've ever tried. I can say it's almost too close. But, if I'm really craving a cigarette, and my menthol isn't doing it for me, I vape that. It's something I would definitely recommend to someone just coming off of analogs.

I know what you mean about that 'relaxing feeling'. I get that when I vape Menthol (Slims). No other menthol really does it quite like the Slims for me. So, if I'm feeling stressed, or just need to relax, I put some slims in an atty and vape away. I never need a whole carto. 10 or 12 drops, 18 mg, and I'm right as rain. I should try 24 mg just for those occasions. I used to vape 36 mg to get over some rough patches.. a few times a day. It's been a couple of months, but I still keep it around just in case.

I think the rule of thumb is the more pg the more the flavor... and the more vg the more the vapor. I generally like 80 pg/ 20 pg.

I think that's So interesting.. that switching cartos in the tank affects the flavor. @kitsune.. I am looking for a flavor fix, truly. I love dripping, but sometimes it's messy, so I haven't been dripping as much, lately. @bear.. My ego elegance does mute the flavors, as well. I think it took a while to get over my first tank experience (twas like sipping nic through a straw), but I'm ready to try again.. just because.

Bobas Bounty is an all VG liquid from avejuice.com. It has a very slight tobacco taste with a sort of graham cracker (molasses) flavor. I prefer their Gorilla Juice, which is the same, but with banana instead of the molasses. I think it's awesome that you are into DIY. I haven't really done much DIY, but I'm looking forward to trying. Someone should write a book of recipes.

I felt the same way about Bobas Bounty when I first received it. I let it steep, and it was greatly improved. But, I was shocked that I didn't initially like it after all of the hype. I think you need to ask yourself what it is that you are looking for. I think that Bobas Bounty and Gorilla Juice (which I've learned to really like) are flavors that you may enjoy after you've found something close to what you used to smoke. I used to smoke something close to Virginia Slims 120s, Menthol,.. I found that flavor in Slims from myfreedomsmokes. It's pretty close. And, Dunhill tastes pretty close to real tobacco to me. So, as long as I have those, especially the Slims.. I can enjoy the banana in the Gorilla Juice or the graham cracker taste from the Bobas. So, I encourage you to try to find something close to your analog. www.myfreedomsmokes.com has a good selection. Others may be along with other suggestions. I know it can be a frustrating venture. But, you'll find it.

LOL! Ok.. The flavors are muted. You'll find that a lot of people concede to that one... However, some people disagree. I wish I disagreed.. but, I don't. The flavors are muted, imho. Fine. The dry scratchy throat hit, however... well, all I can gather on that one is either you are not allowing your wick to absorb the juice fully or that your wick isn't absorbing the juice properly (someone punched a few small holes in it and said it worked great). Mine didn't need that.. but I have the ego elegance without the new adaptation (no metal spout in mine).. don't know if that makes a difference. As for the wicking issue... someone described it pretty well.. the juices darken in the 'tank'.. perhaps because the wick has difficulty absorbing all the elements of the juice simultaneously. All that said, the device works adequately. I like mine.. I put Bobas Bounty in there.. it never clogs. I've had it for over a month and use it every day; it's still going strong. I am not a great fan of the molasses flavor in the Bobas, but I like the tobacco flavor.. so, to me.. the ego elegance (Vision Ego Transparent Clearomizer) works fine. Is it as good as your standard boge lr 2.0? Such a hard question to answer...

The Screwdriver looks very sturdy, I have to say. It also looks Dangerous. lol! Still, it's a lot less $ than the V2 kit I ordered last December, before I knew much about e-cigarettes. They look like they'll last forever. My brother seems to be doing fine with the kgo, thusfar. In a stressful moment, he did have a cigarette a couple of days ago. He said that he's grown so used to the Menthol Tobacco from Liberty that the cigarette tasted "Weird" and he didn't even finish it. I think that once you start using e-cigarettes, it would take some effort to enjoy analogs again with the same satisfaction they once brought (imho). Somehow, they must not be as satisfying. That must be frustrating, the feeling of being in between two worlds.. and he's struggling with some depression... which is strange because he's not a depressed person. He's wavering. He brought up his friends, again.. and how they smoke less now after having tried e-cigs. I didn't really know what to say. I couldn't very well say what was on my mind ("Don't!!!"). Cigarette smoking is a very personal thing in this day and age. It's despised, truly. It has one of the worst stigmas, and people who smoke are treated poorly--and severely. Smokers tend to cling to each other. There's acceptance, understanding, ease... and for my brother.. I guess there's that "Bromance" with his many friends. A couple of his friends new to e-cigs are curious.. wanting to try it for themselves. I'm hoping that it is that aspect of his e-cigarette experience that wins out--positive peer pressure. (I would invite him to the forum.. but I don't want to imagine what he'll think if he reads this thread.. ugh). @Viper Ron.. I'm hoping he'll go into "overkill".. just not with me! lol!
