I looked at that HH357 (I'm too ambitious for my own good). I'm hearing really good things about it. Maybe down the road because it looks really complicated. But, who knows, I may get adventurous. Will be placing orders next week after I get paid. It's just too easy to overspend on this stuff.. but, so much fun, I might add. On another note, I noticed something a bit unusual. Someone posted something about how a store bought e-cig lasted much longer than when you fill a carto yourself (can't remember which thread that was in). Well, I found a pack of cartos I had previously filled about 2 weeks ago. Don't know how I misplaced them. I opened one up and the liquid naturally looked dry. I decided to Vape one anyway. That thing lasted a lot longer than a freshly filled carto! And, it tasted great... more flavor, probably from steeping. But, it lasted almost 3 times as long! What's up with that?

lol! Her Majesty's colonies, eh? Funny. I think it took about 4 years to settle that bit of a row. But, we rebellious ex-subjects are a friendly bunch. So, 40 to 60 a day. I've heard worse, no worries. I know how anxious quitting can be, and you'll receive a lot of guidance and support here. I encourage you to just ask questions. There's a lot to know, and I'm still trying to work it all out myself. Congratulations on taking that first step! Welcome to the forum!

Any Movie/show Watchers Out There?
Breal replied to twelveday's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
Ooo.. a sequel. Now that would be something. I did a search, but all I found was a mention of it in 2011, as well. -
I'm so glad!! That's just awesome.

You know, there is something about Vaping 36 mg nicotine every once in a while. It just makes me feel so mellow. It makes sense, though. Although a cigarette gives a little less than 2 mg of nicotine, when all is said and done, they calculate that you only get about 1 mg per cigarette. Considering all of the additives which enhance the effectiveness of nicotine, it's no wonder the most common Vape is about 24 mg nicotine e-juice. Since you get much less than that with Vaping, it's no wonder why Vapers tend to Vape much more than they smoked. Which comes to my next intrigue: Time. They say that it takes only 5 minutes to actually smoke a cigarette. Because I smoked 120s, it actually took me 10 minutes. Many a time, I just didn't have 10 minutes to spare, so I would have a bunch of half cigarettes in my box. But, by the end of the day, they, too, would be gone. And, I did the Math. Twenty cigarettes at 10 minutes each, 200 minutes--3 Hours and 20 minutes! What?! Well, that's excessive, I thought, so, I compromised on the Math and brought a cigarette down to 7 minutes for the 120s. Yeah, 140 minutes--2 hours and 20 minutes! Well, I chuckled and thought, "I guess I can live with that bit of news. What's a couple of hours." Yikes! And, then,... I remembered... That's.. per.. Day. To make myself feel a bit better, I decided it was easier to count by 2s.. Two hours a day.. and you can imagine the rest. So, I broke out the calculator. To make a long story short, what started as a little inquiry, an intrigue, if you would, wound up involving a few mathematicians, a few called in favors on a gifted computer and its department, and a recreational physicist. A little advanced Calculus, some complex variables, a few differentials, some number theory, heavy on the combinatorics, some conservative statistics to make someone feel better, and it was clear-- taking into account the variables of life and much of the human experience, Two Weeks of Life... GONE! Vanished! Conclusion: Everyone needs a vacation! Ha! QED

@twelveday.. Ha! A Vaping vs. Smoking civil war! Wouldn't that be rich. It's a totally worst case scenario. Oy.

Does Vaping Really Feed The Monkey For You?
Breal replied to Soberrider's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Twelveday, that's actually awesome news, not to bash cigarette smokers either. You did well. You got it out of your system You hate it. There couldn't be better news, really. Don't sweat it. Bad thing about the batteries, though. I had the same exact problem when I first started. After that, I was absolutely paranoid about not having some sort of fully charged battery. Maybe you could try a higher nic for those tough moments--something you only use to get over a hump so that you can conserve your batteries more if they're running low. I feel you. -

I tell you, I'm so grateful to this forum. Couldn't have made it this far without you guys. -
LOL!! I wouldn't put it passed them!

I hear you! lol!

Yes. I'm pretty sure that is going to happen.

I think it would be so great if I could just pop on down to a store and purchase cartridges. I like ordering online, though. I just have to plan it right.

2 weeks?! Well, I guess you can consider yourself "Called".

You know, this is totally greek to me. But, I figure, if I stare at your recipes long enough I just Might be able to understand them. But after a long day, when I'm totally brain-fried, those acronyms (mg, pg, vg, ml, ry4, M-type TFA, STEEP) all tend to blend together (pardon the pun) and very strange things come to mind... like.. Frankenstein (and others). Ha!

Sounds like you could have an awesome business opportunity!

So awesome to know that you are enjoying your eGo! The thought of being able to try a lot of different flavors without ruining a carto each time is intriguing. I'll be placing a whole new order of juices in about a week! I have so much to choose from, it's a bit overwhelming. But, now I know to order smaller bottles, which will really go a long way. I really don't Need to order anymore flavors. What I have now could last me for another month easy. So, next month I'm going to have fun ordering about 10 different flavors. If I find one I really, really, really like, I'll stock up. Very exciting.

Does Vaping Really Feed The Monkey For You?

Thanks, kitsune. I should have gathered that. I would say on that one that a little goes a long way! I think I'm going to just keep a little bottle of that aside for those days when I have, literally, seconds to Vape or if I ever hit another rough patch and just need to "feed the monkey". Ha! You know, I didn't think I would ever be able to go down on the nicotine. I thought that I would always be addicted to some form of nicotine, and while that may well prove to be true, I do see a glimmer .. just a small one, mind you, .. of a thought that it may be possible to be able to live on a smaller dosage. I'm not ready to give up the nic, yet. I don't think I'll really ever want to. It's not a goal anymore. I think I just want to sit back and enjoy now. Explore more flavors. Work is great. Life is great. Vaping is an amazing adventure (albeit a very private hobby). I can't just go into work and say, "I've just discovered Bobas Bounty!" to a bunch of teenagers. At some point, it won't be such a focal point in my life, and I'll move on to something else. I'm thinking Photography. -
That was very insightful. It is possible that the death toll due to smoking may be exaggerated. And, while the chemical testing above was done on soil and the tobacco plant and not on people, it is necessary to study the effects of said chemicals in varying doses upon rats and other animals to try to understand their affect on the human population--a necessary evil (or a great joy, if you don't like rats). And while many foods and commodities may harbor trace amounts of unhealthy substances in minute doses, moderation and common sense must play a role (a person can die from eating too much lettuce, after all). And, I'm in total agreement about the secondhand smoke. Even in an airtight room for days, the nonparticipant would be more in danger of death by asphyxiation than the long term affects of radiation.

That's amazing. I can just roll that up in my sleeping bag and carry my mod on my rack. The innokin are a good idea, too, just in case 'all else fails'. (Must always have back ups.. and back ups of back ups of back ups). Mostly everyone on my team smoke cigarettes. I'm not even going to say anything. I'm just going to pull my e-cigs out and Vape. It'll be a real test, their smoking and my Vaping. Will I want a cigarette? Even if it smells? I'll let you know after spring break. @ twelveday... there has to be something in cigarettes that makes it more addicting, cuz caffeine is in coffee and soda and i didnt get addicted to those as much as cigarette. Maybe it is the whole "experience" of smoking like some of those ecig manufacturers say. According to the veterans here, there are substances within cigarettes, and even substances unique to some brands of cigarettes, which enhance the nicotine. I don't like to be a conspiracy theorist, but considering all that's coming out about the Tobacco Companies sitting on the fact that there is polonium in tobacco soil for decades is only one. I got this excerpt from a research environ company. Overview Every year 440,000 people die in the US from tobacco use and smoke-related diseases, which is approximately 20% of all deaths in the United States. Cigarettes kill more Americans than alcohol, car accidents, suicide, AIDS, homicide, and illegal drugs combined. While not an obvious source of radiation exposure, cigarette smokers inhale radioactive material that, over time, contribute large radiation dose to the lungs. Worse, smokers are not the only ones affected by the radiation in cigarettes. Second-hand can be just as harmful to nearby non-smokers. Naturally-occurring radioactive minerals accumulate on the sticky surfaces of tobacco leaves as the plant grows, and these minerals remain on the leaves throughout the manufacturing process. Additionally, the use of the phosphate fertilizer Apatite – which contains radium, lead-210, and polonium-210 – also increases the amount of radiation in tobacco plants. The radium that accumulates on the tobacco leaves predominantly emits alpha and gamma radiation. The lead-210 and polonium-210 particles lodge in the smoker’s lungs, where they accumulate for decades (lead-210 has a half-life of 22.3 years). The tar from tobacco builds up on the bronchioles and traps even more of these particles. Over time, these particles can damage the lungs and lead to lung cancer. What I don't understand is, with that kind of a death toll, where are the independent research companies? Are they all on a smoke break or something? Yes, we have all heard it before... "Smoking will kill you. Yes, you will die from it. Your death will be painful and gruesome. Here are some pictures for you." Really? Why is it only recently that the above has been mentioned? Why not get that out to the public in a more organized fashion? It should be common knowledge. Don't insult peoples' intelligence. We can handle the truth. We abhor partial truths. The question is... Would the above have deterred anyone from smoking? The slogans have not. The statistics do not. The pictures will not. Would the exposure of Tobacco Companies' practices? The knowledge of the fertilizer used which augment the naturally occurring radiation in soil?.. Because knowing about the soil only gives one serious pause.
