u won't notice muchdifference between the 808s and ur 510s, maybe a bit better battery life but that's dependant on the batts you pick. Kanger is good for the basic 808 stuff, if ur looking for anything specialty go with one of the vendors I listed. Each one of them has its own perks. I just don't know that ur money is well spent on the kanger 808 stuff since its very basic and you already have several diff types of pv's one of the specialty 808s may be better suited for you. Just my .02

strange, I've never had a tight draw on a boge carto. Had to have been a result of the 2 air holes. Everything I've ever used for 808s has 4 holes on the collar.

can you do one for a Leo?

i hope you like it as much as i liked the volt! the gen2 batt's are nice. plus smokelessimage has the sealed auto batt's which is pretty much a one of a kind so far in the industry for slim batts. which make's it great for dripping. if you do like to drip pick up some 901 atty's and your'e all set to drip on the 808. the other nice thing about that site is you can pick up some nice accesories like the diamond end caps, stealth end caps, and wraps for the batt's.

alright, lemme break your post down a little bit. 1st off, the juice type. you make a very valid point, we should have a juice thread in which we break down vg vs pg and which each of us prefers and y. plus flavors, obviously there's a gazillion. now that being said, taste is subjective that part your'e gonna have to figure out on your own, use trial sizes from different sites to find out what you like. on to the pv's, yes voltage makes a difference, yes fat batts are GENERALLY better than "slim style" ecigs. are they always better, no. if the mystic is working for you, stick with it. don't let someone on a forum tell you that it's junk and spend money becauce of what they say. whatever keeps you off of cigs is what's best. Period. Higher voltage can help create better throat hit, vapor production etc. that's y so many people end up with mods and what not. that's why we generally work up from what we start with (which is generally a cig size and style ecig). but like i said, if your'e content with what your'e using, don't feel like you have to switch. you don't. the best ecig for you, is the one that keeps you off cigs. if you ever feel like what your'e using isn't enough however, you can start looking into different pv's. fat batt's, mods, vv devices. there's lots of options out there and honestly none of them are better than the next. you just need to research and figure out what would be best for you. any questions feel free to pm me.

Just thought it would be a good idea to have a thread dedicated to the kr808 battery and it's vendors and products. If anyone has any questions please feel free to post here and i will do my best to answer them. I'm fairly knowledgeable when it comes to this particular ecig. I will try to bump this thread occasionally (without making it to annoying lol) so that any noobs that may have questions will see it. Just kind of wanted to give the kr808 it's own thread since it seems that most of this site is only geared towards the eGo or vv. Unless a mod feels like making this a sticky or sub forum somewhere......... Anywho, here's a list of vendors that i have personally used and have never heard of, or had any problems with. In fact nothing but good service from all these vendors. http://www.vapor4life.com/home.php http://smokelessimage.com/ http://bloogplanet.com/ -these guys just put out a new batt called the Trifecta, which can be used as a manual, auto, or passthru battery which in the world of kr808's is big. it's the first of it's kind, i've yet to try one out but hopefully will soon. http://www.v2cigshop.com/ -these guys may be a tad overpriced but none the less they're a good vendor http://www.cigeasy.com/Default.asp- these guys aren't technically an 808 vendor only, but they do carry what's called the "Elite 808" which is comparable to an eGo with 808 threading. Really nice product for the money. There are many others but these are the most well known, and dependable imho. As i said, if there are any questions please feel free to post away and i will be happy to help!

What Size And What Mg Do You Vape?

i'm a carto type guy all the way. i typically only use a tobacco flavor juice, vanilla, or menthol, most those flavors are pretty hard to mute so if any flavor is actually lost through the polyfill i don't actually notice. carto's are just super convenient. sometimes i'll spend the money and pick up the prefilled ones when i know i don't want the hassle of filling at all. most the time though i buy the blanks and fill myself then just top off as i go. now, that being said i tend not to be the most patient person sometimes and i will admit that i didn't give dripping a very good shot. and i just learned how to dewick an atty so i suppose i should pick a few up and give dripping another go. it just seemed like i got too many nasty hits, sometimes it felt like i wasn't filling enough and others it was obvious i had flooded the atty, so like i said i suppose i'll have to give dripping another go since it's so popular. gotta be popular for a reason right? lol

Tips And Warnings For The New E-Cig User
blucavvy replied to MrElixir's topic in Polls and Questionnaires
Alright, i'm going to say a few things and i by no means want this to come off as being mean. So please, do not take anything i'm saying as offensive or anything like that. Saying things like the eGo is better than all "cigarette like" devices is simply untrue. That's a matter of personal preference. Are there alot of junk cigarette style ecigs out there? Absolutely. That being said are there alot of very high quality type "cigarette like" ecigs out there? Absolutely there are. Let me give you some examples so that from now on every noob to ecigs isn't being told that ALL "cigarette like" ecigs are junk. http://www.vapor4life.com/home.php Vapor4Life is a great example of how good a cigarette style ecig can be. With their manual batteries they come with a 10-13 second cutoff so that a nice big drag can be taken. They sell their batts in a variety of sizes from mini's, to a standard size, and even a mega batt. I believe they mega batts have close to 400mah. So they can actually be a fairly long lasting battery. Typically with this type of ecig having several batts is a great idea, but it's not necessary with PCC's (personal charging cases). Now this particular company uses the older Gen1 style kr808 batteries. That means that they are unregulated and start out at 3.7volts and drop down in voltage as the battery loses charge. http://smokelessimage.com/ This is another very good kr808 vendor. The difference with their batts from Vapor4Life is that they use the regulated Gen2 style batts. That means that from the second they come off the charger to the time you take your last hit before it needs another charge it stays at a constant 3.7volts. Yes that's the same voltage as a fat batt like the eGo. So this little guy will literally kick out as much vapor and throat hit as a fully charged eGo! Not only that but since they are smaller they are more discreet making them great for stealthvaping. A nice advantage with this company is they recently came out with a sealed auto batt, just like the manual's are. Making them great for dripping! Yup, dripping on a mini automatic batt Now, as i said, i in no way was trying to be mean, or disrespectful. I just don't want every noob thinking that because they got ripped off by one company for a junk, overpriced "cigarette style" ecig, that all the cigarette style ecigs are junk. Because it's simply not true. I still use my 808's to this day even after moving on to fat batt's and the like. Do they have their dis-advantages? Yup, but their are also very nice advantages as well. So, that's all, not trying to bash or throw this thread too far off topic (sorry op) just wanted to point out some facts about some smaller style ecigs. And this is only 1 "cigarette style" ecig. I can't speak for the 510 threaded one's or anything else. Alot are probably junk, but that doesn't mean they all are.- 36 replies

you'll get used to the size of a fat batt quicker than you think, only difference is it can be harder to stealth vape with a larger batt.
-
alright its decided then, that's my next purchase
-
not a problem. and yeah i already have several drip tips and atty's and what not, but even if it was just the tube, charger and battery for 60 bucks it'd be worth it. and no other site comes close in price. so that's the way i see it anyways, y not? lol
-
https://www.apolloecigs.com/product_p/atube.htm this is the exact same thing as the LavaTube. there are "clones" of the lava tube popping up on alot of the popular vendor sites all over the place now. it has free shipping, and a one year warranty. plus the battery, the charger, atty, and a drip tip. all for 60 bucks is an amazing deal for an entry level vv mod with charger.
-
I've been really wanting to pick up one of the LavaTube clones for awhile now, i figure it's the only thing left to do with vaping. I've used slim style ecigs, fat batts, passthrus, manuals, autos etc.. etc.. and i'm really interested to try out variable voltage vaping. With the cost of variable voltage only going down from what it once was (right now you can get a vv tube mod with lcd display, a battery, a charger, a drip tip, an atty and a 1 year warranty for 60 bucks shipped which is just dirt cheap) it just seems silly not to try it since even though i am feeling satisfied with my overall vaping experience i still have the desire to try new things! lol so i'm stuck on what to do at this point, on the one hand i've spent alot of time lately thinking how lucky i am that i really have no complaints with my current setups. i'm completely satisfied with the way my vaping is going right now, and has been going for some time. and on the other hand, the vv mod with battery charger and atty and a one year warranty is only 60 bucks, it's almost like a "y not?", maybe i'll discover that the vv vaping is ten times better than what i'm currently doing. i dunno, what's everyone think?

remember that cartos by their basic nature are disposable, however you should be able to get several days if not weeks of refills out of them depending on how consistent you are on filling them. as joe dirt said, keep them moist, not soaked but moist.

love hearing about quality vendors. glad you've had great service with them!

Looking For The Best Kit I Can Get For Under 80.00
blucavvy replied to extremewattage's topic in New Vapers Forum
the 510 compatibility has never been an issue for me. i still don't own a 510 threaded device or carto. obviously it's the most standard threading for e cigs, but 808's have come a long way and you can now get anything you would normally want for a 510 in 808 or other threading. -
when you pop the top off the carto (basically all new 808/510 cartos have the new "rubber tops" that can easily be popped off with a paper clip or something similar) you'll see the white polyfill, if it looks dry at all (no color from the juice your'e using) add 3 or 4 drops max. then continue to check it every 1/2 hour or hour depending on how often you vape, maybe even more often if your'e a chain vaper. i only have to check mine every 1/2 hour or so. but yeah on a fresh new pre filled carto you want to fill it as soon as flavor starts to go diminish.

Tips And Warnings For The New E-Cig User
blucavvy replied to MrElixir's topic in Polls and Questionnaires
being able to use it around my asthmatic 5 year old son without feeling guilty. saving easily $100 a month when compared to cigs (and yes that's including the price of all the hardware, and i have alot lol) being able to run several miles at the gym without hacking a lung up not smelling like an ashtray knowing i'm not putting carcinogens into my body or the air around me actually knowing the $1.00 i spent on air fresheners for my car wasn't a waste not having to roll my window down in the rain while driving to "smoke" not having to stand outside during the middle of winter and freeze my *** off for nicotine think that about sums it up.- 36 replies

Looking For The Best Kit I Can Get For Under 80.00
blucavvy replied to extremewattage's topic in New Vapers Forum
love my LEO too, but 60 bucks is waaaay too steep for one. you can get a 1000mah LEO with a few carto's and a charger for under 30 bucks, and the carto's are huge and last easily a month a piece with no cleaning necessary. -
i started with 808's and still use them to this day. but that doesn't keep me from trying new stuff. i also use a 1000mah LEO almost everyday. and i'm looking in to getting a vv mod. but yeah, i'm still completely satisfied with my 808's. although from what i've seen and heard most people aren't typically satisfied with slim style ecigs. i have shorties, standard size, mega's passthru's, manual's, auto's, lol too many 808's. but i love them all for one reason or another.

a 1ml carto? what would you say it's close to?
