Welcome to the forum , vaporx is actually the brand i use when i shop at my local brick and mortar. The tanks are ce4's and i've never had a problem with cracking, however depending on the type of juice you use this has been known to be a common problem. Are you by chance using any cinnamon type juices?

Ok your kit is basically an 808 eGo knockoff from the looks of it, with t4 clearomizers. There's nothing wrong with this kit but there are betters out there (as there always are). How are you liking the performance of it? Good vapor production, throat hit and flavor? If so there's really no reason to leave it and have to buy more hardware. You should be able to use pretty much anything 808 threaded so keep that in mind when shopping for other clearomizers/cartomizers/tanks etc. The first kit you bought looks to be a standard eGo with a ce4 clearomizer which is what i prefer. Whichever battery/clearo you like best is honestly what you should stick with. As far as vaping drying out your sinuses, pg and vg are both dehumectants (think that's how it's spelled), so they will both dry out your mouth, throat, etc.... just get used to drinking more water because that's simply one of the side effects of vaping. I'm going to recommend a few sites for good juices/good starter kits that are very easy to build off of. The thing that bothers me about the first kit you posted is it says that it's backwards compatible 808 threading which means it may not actually be compatible with other 808 delivery devices/chargers etc. Which means it may not be very easy to build off of, and since the other site you linked to won't tell you exactly what kind of battery you got i'm just basing off looks what it might be. A good site will tell you exactly what brand/product you are purchasing, so you know what will and what will not work with it. http://www.thevaporroom.net/starter-kits.html That site has great juice flavors and you can order them in whatever ratio pg or vg you want. Look up their "free/sale" stuff and you'll see first time customers get some great deals. Also they have some pretty good eGo starter kits which is honestly what i'd recommend for you. They're simple, reliable, and give a great vape. http://vaportalk.com/marketplace/ The vaportalk marketplace has a bunch of good vendors with a ton of different products to check out. http://www.nashvillevapor.com/site/ Nashvillevapor has always been a favorite vendor of mine, great juices, tons of good products, and great customer service. If you'd like i could give some links to good beginner starter kits, but for now check those vendors out. Also sweetvapes is a vendor on here that is very well respected among the members for great juice, trial kits, and good starter kits/products as well.

Welcome to the forum. First things first, if we can help you build off of your kit could you please post a link as to what exactly you have purchased? That would help us point you in the right direction as to what you have and what you can add. Your wifes headaches, could be a combination of her still smoking a pack a day and vaping combined. What nicotine content is the juice you two use? She could just be getting way too much nicotine in her system, though that might be doubtful considering she was a 2 pack a day smoker. A lot of people can be very hesitant at first as to whether or not this will actually work for them. There's so many options that go along with vaping that it can be frustrating finding out what works best for you. As far as finding the right juice (one of the hardest things to do with vaping), you should find a well recommended site for e liquids that sells sampler packs of juices that way she can try several different menthols without having to buy a large amount of one juice. Usually places will sell 3-6ml sampler bottles in 5 packs or something. You should be able to try 5 or so juices for under $20 or so. If you have any other questions feel free to ask as we are here to help. And there are a lot of very knowledgeable people on this site that have all been through the trials of starting out.

Just a quick update on the other flavors that came with the starter kit. I had previously given a brief review of the cherry and vanilla flavors. The kit also came with 2 prefilled tobacco carto's and 1 prefilled menthol carto. Tobacco: Just plain awful. This is one of those flavors i think they tried to make it taste like a cigarette, and i just can't even describe how bad it was. I tried to vape it for about a half hour or so to see if the taste maybe grew on me or was some type of acquired taste. No. It was awful the whole time, ended up throwing out both carto's. Menthol: Not bad. That's about all i can say about it. I'm not a huge menthol fan to begin with but i do like a menthol here and there. This is one i could easily vape here and there. Nothing to write home about but it wasn't bad at all. So, all i can really say is that for refills i'll probably pick up a 5 pack of the menthol, and the normal vape for these units for me will probably be the vanilla. They have other flavors available in the 5 packs but $15 is too expensive to try a flavor knowing i may end up just throwing away the other 4 if it sucks. Vanilla and menthol are where it's at for me as far as Blu ecigs go.

Pros, cons of your daily driver
blucavvy replied to Love2VapeDaily's topic in General Vaping Discussion
completely depends on the day, m-f it will last me from the time i wake up 0430 until i go to bed at about 10 or so. That being said while i work i rarely take breaks except for lunch. So really the only time i vape while working is while i'm in my car driving to and from the dining facility on post. I maybe use 100 mah or so during work hours. The bulk of my usage comes once i'm done with work for the day. Now on the weekends it's a different story. I'll usually just use my 1100 mah on the weekends because the 650 mah simply wouldn't be enough. And even after the 1100 mah has died for the day i typically run through my blu batts while i'm out at night on the weekends at least twice a piece. -

650mah black eGo. standard resistance ce4, typically a vanilla flavored juice (varied vendors) with a 70/30 or 80/20 vg/pg juice. Pros: Good flavor, reliable, simple, simple, simple. Cons: Ce4's don't last too long 5-6days, the eGo loses it's voltage towards the last hour or so of use. All in all, the benefits of how simple it is to use really outweigh the cons. -
those are called T4's, V2 just rebranded them to make it seem like it's their own product/invention. yes i've tried them, no i'm not a fan.

that's been said about every delivery device under the sun aside from direct dripping, and i've never had a problem using 100%vg in anything i've used. maybe i'm just more patient than other folks?
-
good review. i've always wanted to try one but like you said not really sure i want to go dropping $25 on a single atty. and at this point, dripping is almost a thing of the past for me, i'm just really wanting convenience these days and ce-whatever's just really fit the bill for me.

Random work people wanting to try your e cig
blucavvy replied to Christie's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I do the same thing. I'm the kind of guy that bummed drags of smokes from my friends when i was a kid, i worked in construction for about 6 years and my hands were always covered in "poisonous" grout and cement products when i'd eat lunch, now i work in a motorpool in the army and you can imagine all the different types "poisonous" fluids i get on my hands on a daily basis and then go to lunch and dinner with lol. if someone wants a drag i'm more than happy to let them try it. if that helps one of my brothers or sisters in arms get off smokes i'm all for it. -
lol, u were until u mentioned that.

gotta agree with Uma on this one. she's obviously got a LOT of issues and probably needs quite a bit of therapy and medication to get that in line, however him sitting their laughing at her like that doesn't help the situation, and he was (even if it was minute) purposely pushing buttons to get a reaction. Egging her on so to speak.

Anyone on here read books....
blucavvy replied to SouthWestPayDay's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
I decided to not see the movie in theaters because i heard some pretty bad reviews. that being said i've been dying to see it for a long time now as i'm kind of a zombie nerd so no one ruin it for me! i'll be renting it as soon as it comes out. -

blucavvy replied to SouthWestPayDay's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
I like a variety of different books. Like Mark i enjoy reading a lot of non-fiction to learn some stuff here and there. But i also enjoy non-fiction as well. Have about 2 chapters left in World War Z. Really enjoying this book so far. -
1 650mah eGo, ce4 with a good vanilla juice. that's it...... lol if i'm out at the bar i have my blu pak/pcc with 2 blu batt's and a few carto's, not because i kill a carto in one night because i like to switch flavors when drinking.

What makes Vamo, Provari's etc. so special?
blucavvy replied to DanielleS's topic in General Vaping Discussion
no, vapor production has nothing to do with mod vs ego. it all has to do with the type of juice/resistance to voltage -
the juice you've got selected should give you good clouds. i usually use like a 70/30 or 80/20 vg/pg
-
What kind of juice do u vape op? PG vg or a mix?
-
think i'll probably end up just getting the Ovation, at the end of the day i know that's honestly what i want. those guitars have always just felt perfect in my hands. gonna go down to some local shops here soon and see what they have in stock
-
Uma as always makes some excellent points about different mods, sorry i typically always just recommend the Provari route simply because it was the best mod i ever used/owned. i kind of have tunnel vision when it comes to recommending mods because i was always so impressed with the Provari. but i still think maybe you just need to look at different juices/delivery devices to see if that gives you the clouds you want. there's so many options with vaping it's impossible to recommend the perfect set up for someone else, and if your'e dead set on a mod i certainly won't discourage it, they have great advantages over standard batteries, just thinking that if the only reason you want a mod is to get large clouds of vapor that can be easily achieved with pretty basic gear.
-
I won't get in to the battery life section of mods but i can tell you from firsthand experience the amount of vapor or "clouds" you produce has nothing to do with having a mod over an eGo. I make CLOUDS of vapor with my 1.8ohm ce4, vision spinner eGo, and a juice composed of 80/20 vg/pg. It all comes down to your combination of resistance/voltage and the type of juice you vape. Obviously higher vg content juices are going to create way more vapor than pg juices. And the lower the resistance coupled with a higher voltage will give you better vapor as well. All of that is easily accomplished with nothing more than a vv eGo and the right resistance delivery device+ a high vg content juice. All that being said, if i had to point you in the direction of one mod, based on personal experience i'd say the Provari. Great customer service, 1 year warranty no questions asked, highest possible level of craftsmanship, internal protection. It's simply the best quality, safest mod out there. And it has stood the test of time over and over. Btw, my original point was to have you ask yourself if you really need a mod. Because as i said i've owned a lot of different devices including a Provari and i can promise you i never got a "better" vape out of the Provari as far as making clouds are concerned than i do out of a $25 eGo battery. Maybe you should try switching juices or delivery devices first before investing in an expensive mod.

Or any other experienced guitar player honestly. I used to play a lot of acoustic back in the day, i've owned several and always enjoyed it. But i haven't played much over the last 3 years or so, and it's something i'm looking to pick up again. However, i want to double the strings this time around. I remember playing a 12 string once and i was absolutely in LOVE with the sound it created. So, i need some suggestions on a good "starter" 12 string. I'd like it if it was acoustic/electric in case i ever decide i wanna plug in one day. My last 6 string was an Ovation and i loved the round back style and the sound it made was simply the best of any 6 string i've ever played. So i'm hoping their 12 string will be just as good. http://www.amazon.com/Applause-Ovation-AE35-4-12-Strings-Acoustic/dp/B0002L51M4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1374419908&sr=8-2&keywords=ovation+12+string I know it's their lower end model, but not knowing whether or not i even still have the interest of playing anymore i'm wary of spending a few k on a higher end Ovation 12 string. I guess some of my questions are, are these easy to tune, re-string, etc.? Are they user friendly basically. I was certainly never a great musician but i can hold my own, however after not playing for a few years it's safe to say i'll be a bit rusty for awhile. On the other hand i found this one that gets better reviews than the Ovation, and for the cost looks almost too good to be true. http://www.amazon.com/12-String-ACOUSTIC-ELECTRIC-GUITAR-Pro-Quality-Rosewood/dp/B001MXDQ6E/ref=pd_sim_sbs_MI_1 So, help a brother out?
