  1. 12 bucks for a 5 pack is highway robbery, i take it your'e buying prefilled? and as far as boiling a carto 3 times, if it works for you great, cartomizers are disposable though, they're simply not meant to be used that long. the draw will tighten up, and the coil will get gunked up resulting in less vapor production, as will the polyfill, boiling will only remove the sediment so many times, not to mention the heat from the atty in the carto will make the polyfill shrink and start to absorb less resulting in less flavor. http://www.litecigusa.net/KR808d_1_Blank_Cartomizers_p/krblankcart.htm http://www.litecigusa.net/KR808d_1_Premium_LOW_RESISTANCE_SOFT_CAP_Blank_Car_p/premlrkrblankcart.htm ^^^be warned that second link i posted is for lr carto's and using these on a battery with less than 400mah will dramatically reduce the lifespan of your batteries.
  2. btw, welcome to vaportalk and if you have any other questions please feel free to ask, it's a very helpful community!
  3. you'll probably only get one decent use out of them after boiling. as in, after boiling from it's initial use, you refill with another 1ml and then maybe get to top it off a few times. here's the problem with boiling carto's- boiling them may help remove some of the flavor from the polyfill, but the actual coil inside is still gunked after boiling. the boiling may remove some of it but don't expect to get a lot longer out of them. also, if your'e using 100%vg as you know it will gunk up the coil and the polyfill much faster than a pg liquid will. and any dark liquids tend to have alot of flavor sediment in them that will further gunk up the coil. boiling may help keep it alive a tad longer, but not much. to me it's a waste, when a carto starts losing flavor, or the draw gets too tight for me i ditch it. they're cheap enough that if i get a week or two out of one, i've definately gotten my money's worth out of a $2 carto. what you can do to help ensure your carto lasting longer is a.) use a 100%pg liquid, it's thinner and generally won't gunk up coils as fast as vg b.) if your'e deadset on using heavy vg liquids, try running the lighter colored liquids, those tend to have less flavor sediment in them and shouldn't gunk up a coil as fast as a dark vg liquid.
  4. nice, it's bigger than i thought it would be
  5. http://thevaporroom.net/ these guys hands down make the best juice i have ever tried. bob posted a review about them and i ordered some shortly after that. my experience with their juice so far has been outstanding. the v/t/f of their juices is just simple amazing. i got my juices in a 75/25 pg/vg ratio and for me it's perfect, just enough vg to make an awesome amount of vapor, but enough pg to keep that th and flavor. i got 30ml's of 555 and 15ml's of cinnamon danish swirl. i did a review of those juices that you can find here (along with bobs reviews) i will always recommend these guys and i'm getting ready to place my next order with them soon. their 30ml flavors of the week is a great deal 30ml's for $10! and every new customer gets 15ml's for free! also every order new customer or return customer gets 3ml's for free. i cannot say enough good things about these guys. the 555 is an easy all day vape for me as is the cds, unfortunately i was not happy with the french vanilla but flavor is subjective so can't really complain. seriously, if your'e looking for a great vendor and some stellar juice, give these guys a shot, 48ml's for $14 is a killer deal.
  6. yeah if your'e already at the 24mg i wouldn't go any higher. sounds like you've got the right idea then. that's what i did when i wanted to try higher voltage was went with a cheap 5v passthru. i've had mine for months and still use it alot when i'm at home. that extra kick is nice! just remember on the 5v passthru to use a higher resistance carto. like 2.6-3.0. you don't need the lr stuff on that high of a voltage.
  7. wholy **** that sucks bob, i hope you get it figured out man. it is just a standard 510 carto right? reason i ask is i know like the Blu ecig stuff is reverse compatible, it's the same threading as a 510 but the polarity is reversed. something like that could probably kill a pv pretty quick.
  8. i would try a different delivery system or different juice before i went out and bought a whole new system. it'll be cheaper to try the first 2 out. maybe a higher nic content? what mg are you vaping? and what method of delivery are you using, sometimes a good boge 2.0ohm carto gives the ever sought after throat hit.
  9. congrats on being 1 week analog free! the ego is a very good, and reliable device, glad you found that out so quickly, your pocket book will thank you in the long run!

  11. sure does. but yes in the beginning it was HARD. i wanted analogs almost always when i first started vaping, after a meal, when i first got in my car, after sex, when i was stressed, etc.. now, i can't even stand the thought of smoking. literally 0 cravings 5 months in. it's been that way for a few months too. as has been said, it's just in the first month, maybe two that really suck. assuming you have the right device and the juice that works for you. if not then it's gonna suck forever. vaping some 555 with my morning coffee right now, and honestly, this is better than a cig and coffee ever was or could be.
  12. http://innokin.com/product/detail.php/id-33.html this thing looks awesome! and i'm glad Innokin decided to finally ditch the proprietary threading of the Leo and put 510 threading on this bad boy. definately be getting one of these when they come out. Thom the owner of whitestagvapor says he should have them in stock in a week or two. pbusardo gave it a pretty decent review.
  13. just remember cartos are disposable, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't b refilled. After you hit on one for a half hour or so check the polyfill under the rubber cap, if its bone white and looks dry drip a few drops on it. Keeping the carto moist will keep it going a long time. Let it dry out and it'll give you a nasty flavor quick. that's y I like using blank cartos then I can fill them myself and top off when I want to.
  14. not a problem at all bro, just make sure wherever you order from that the site states its a passthru batt
  15. hahahaha thats what I'm talkin bout op right there, everyone likes something different and jeff and I are perfect examples. I love cartos, jeff hates them, you just have to find what you like
  16. do you refill ur cartomizers or do you just buy prefilled ones and vape them till they taste nasty?
  17. the tanks are nice but they'll never replace a good lr carto imho
  18. not a problem at all. i've never personally ordered from that site (or even heard of them for that matter) but that doesn't mean they're a bad site at all. just not one i personally have heard of. i'm just saying that if i was going to get in to the eGo scene i'd go with smoketek, they're a great vendor with a great track record, and great pricing. all in all they're just pretty great! and i would get a larger mah battery, i just think that eventually you'll want a higher mah. even though you might be around your computer most the day, that 650mah will start draining down much quicker when your'e not around a cord and your'e using low resistance stuff on it. that tends to drain a battery quicker than standard resistance stuff does. just something to think about before getting in to the fat batt scene.
  19. i personally think you'll like the lr one's the most on an eGo since it only operates at about 3.2-3.4v. the sr ones are better at a higher voltage. give carto's a shot too though, don't limit yourself to the tanks and atty's, give as many delivery options a shot as you can so you can find out what you like. personally i don't really like atty's, i prefer carto's, but that's just me, there's alot of people that love dripping on atty's so all i'm saying is that they're all cheap enough that you can try them all and leave yourself plenty of options.
  20. the ego c is supposedly a large improvement over the ego t, however it does still have it's issues. it wouldn't hurt for you to order a few lr carto's to go along with it and try those out. they're super simple to use, great for v/t/f (vapor/throat hit/flavor) and are very consistent.
  21. some liquid does not respond well at higher voltage, some do. also the 5v passthru will run through liquid in carto's much faster than the standard 808 batts, you may just need to stay on top of filling the carto's better, there's only 1ml of liquid in a prefilled carto, that taste your'e getting is likely from the carto running dry, once you get a dry hit on a carto it's ******. keep the carto moist and your'e golden, let it go dry (even one hit) and it'll get a burnt metallic taste to it, and it's dead.
  22. the biggest tip i've read is that if your'e getting a dry atty hit, take a toothpick or something and shove the wick down slightly through the spike. supposedly that solves all wicking problems. other than that i know next to nothing about the ego c, i use a leo tank system and the only thing i run into is having to occasionally "burp" the tank to avoid a dry hit.
