they'll both have the same performance for dripping, it's just a question of what battery your'e using. if it's a low voltage battery use a lr atty, if it's a higher voltage atty use a sr atty.

Low Resistance Vs. Regular Atomizers For Ego-C
blucavvy replied to VaporMikePL's topic in New Vapers Forum
lower resistance attys on a lower voltage battery (like ur ego) will help create a warmer, thicker vapor and will probly even help with throat hit. however, lower resistance hardware will draw more power and drain ur battery faster between charges. Its a double edged sword. -
the atomizer head on ur ego c will break down roughly over a month of steady use, the tanks...well I'll leave that one to jeffb. I spend maybe $40 a month on juice and cartos. As opposed to the $140 a month I did on cigs. welcome to the forum!

Boxmods, Which Ones Stand Out, And Which Do You Prefer?
blucavvy replied to twelveday's topic in General Vaping Discussion
yeah those mini reo's really are hott, if they weren't so expensive i'd have one by now. till i can find one on the cheap my LEO's will work just fine sorry, i had nothing other to contribute to this thread than that lolz -
nice! good looking pv

there's a "punched" cartomizer that fits inside that plastic tank. the punch in the cartomizer lets the juice that's in the tank constantly feed the polyfill that's inside the carto, thus constantly soaking the coil inside the carto. all the tank does is feed a pretty standard cartomizer. if you look around in their tank section they have tanks that have 808 threaded carto's and tanks that have 510 threaded carto's. just make sure you don't use any cinnamon juice in there. also, don't use these tanks on any auto batteries, or do any dripping on any auto batteries, if it leaks it will kill the battery, only on sealed manual batteries. and yes as far as the 4ml LEO cartomizer it's just a big *** carto lol, more polyfill bigger body and bigger coil. all of the LEO stuff is that way though, their atty's are monsters compared to a standard 901 or 510 atty. if you watch this video, pbusardo literally drops a 510 atty inside the LEO atty lol
-
there are bigger carto's out there, for example the cartomizers for my LEO are 4ml cartos, and the ego mega dual coil carto's (emdcc) hold i wanna say 4.5ml's??? but as far as carto's for 808's like the v2 i think it's a pretty standard 1ml unless you get one of these kinds of tanks http://www.vapor4life.com/3.5ml_Dual_Coil_Tank-_808D_Style.html i've never tried those ^^^ specific tanks yet but hear very good things. i don't know however that they'll fire on your v2 batts.
-
you might just try dripping directly on to the atty, most of the "polyfill cartridges" don't feed very well.
-
mainly carto's, but i now have a tank atty and tank cartridges for my LEO that i've been experimenting with and i like the tank system for the most part. but all in all nothing beats a good boge lr cartomizer for me. that being said i've never really given dripping much of a chance. just seemed like too much of a pita for me having to add drops to an atty every couple of hits. filling up a carto and only having to top off ever hour or so is just so much more convenient for me. but i'm the type of vaper that wants to pick up their pv and vape, no fiddling, no tinkering. i may just not have the patience for dripping. (see my cat avatar? that's how i am when i drip lol) that being said there's A LOT of people that swear by dripping, so give it a shot you may love it.
-
not a problem, someone can correct me if i'm wrong but basically when you get the atty, drip maybe 4-5 drops directly onto the atty, puff until flavor starts to dissipate, then add another drop or two everytime flavor starts to diminish again. you should get like 6 or 7 hits per 2 drops or so i believe. you don't want to drip too much on it or you'll flood the atty, let it run dry and you'll burn it out. this is how i've always done it anyways. wouldn't hurt to get some info from other members on how they drip though, as personally i don't even really like dripping lol

-
and drip tips the cisco 306 get's rave reviews but it's about $20 if i remember and if i were new to dripping that is not where i would start. pick up a joye 306 atty and a 306 drip tip and give it a whirl, should be able to get em both for under ten bucks. then pick up a 510 atty, and 510 drip tip. the 306 and 510's are cheap enough that you can try em both and if dripping's not for you you haven't lost any more than about $20 and you know to stick to carto's lol. btw, the 510 drip tips are also compatible with 510/808/901 cartomizers as well. just pop out the little rubber cap and replace with the drip tip and it makes topping off carto's much easier.
-
fixed that for ya. atty=atomizer carto=cartomizer cart=cartridge there's no such thing as an atty/carto. there's atty/tanks and carto/tanks. the whole tank thing can be confusing. yes flavor is generally better out of an atty than it is out of a carto, because the atty has no filler material like carto's do. carto's use polyfill to suspend the juice in the be vaporized. when you drip on an atty the juice is being vaporized directly off the coil, polyfill from a carto can tend to "mute" flavors. the benefit of a carto over an atty is that most carto's hold 1ml and up, so less filling. whereas with dripping you have to drip a few drops on, take a few hits and repeat. with carto's you fill a bunch of juice in and go. atty= best flavor, possibly better vapor production carto= best convenience.
-
good to hear they're recommended. i may give one a shot just to see how it is, but i generally draw the line with something when i HAVE to fill it with a syringe. that's just too far for me.

curious to try the 306 as well, I'll be getting a joye 306 ordered in a day or two to try -
a 4ml leo carto does last a lot longer than a 1ml 808 carto. More polyfill, larger coil. Nice try though different advice is needed for products that r very different. Had he been asking abouta leo carto I would have told him he could get much longer out of it than a week

well you can use whichever one's u want and adjust voltage accordingly, if it's a higher resistance carto use a higher voltage, lower resistance carto use lower voltage. -
http://www.litecigusa.net/category_s/84.htm there ya go bud. pretty good price, same one's i've used when dripping on an 808, even though i don't care for dripping all that much the sr one's there are pretty darn good atty's. as for switching over to 501's that i can't answer cuz i honestly don't know lol
-
not a problem at all, and believe me i know how confusing it can be lol, i still get confused myself from time to time.

if your'e using the standard volt and bloog batts which i believe is what you said then yes you want a sr (standard resistance) carto. anywhere from 2.6-3.0ohms will be good. if you use a lower ohm than 2.6 or so it will really decrease the overall lifespan of your batts. for a lower ohm carto, say 2.0ohm you really need at least 400mah to be safe, the batts your'e using are anywhere from 220mah to 320mah depending on size. unless your'e using the 102mm "mega" which i believe bloog offers, that's roughly 420mah. you could technically use a 2.0ohm carto on that but it will drain the battery quick as lr stuff draws alot more power from the battery. that first link i posted for you is your best bet imho. pretty standard 2.8ohm blank carto's. for $7 for a 5 pack it's a good deal, and litecigusa.net is a good vendor. i don't know that i'd really recommend to use any type of alcohol to clean a carto but i suppose if your'e deadset on it i'd use the 151. i've also heard white vinegar works but have personally never tried it. you said you only get about one use out of a carto......are you topping them off ever or just filling once and using it until the flavor is gone? if you top them off with a few drops every half hour or hour or so you should be getting a lot more time out of them. i start out lets say on a monday with a fresh carto, fill it, and then top off every hour or so with a few drops and that carto will generally last me 6 or 7 days before flavor really starts to diminish along with vapor. then it's time for a new one.
-
here's some boges, available in 2.8 or 2.0ohm, like i said the lower ohm one's will give you warmer, thicker vapor but i can't really recommend using them on a low mah battery. i do it, but i won't recommend it lol. boge's are very high quality carto's so they may be a tad more expensive than the one's i previously posted but they're nice. http://www.avidvaper.com/products/Boge-Blank-KR808-Soft-Tip-Cartomizers.html
