this. he's using the bloog or v2 carto's or something if i remember, even those should not be dying that quick. i've never heard of a carto literally NEEDING a cleaning after half a days use. unless it's not being topped off at all.

you won't get any throat hit at all. nicotine is the ingredient in e juice that provides the throat hit. you could get some 0mg nic juice just to puff on if you want. it may help with the actual ritual of being able to smoke after dinner and what not but obviously will not help you physically get through any withdrawals.

Low Resistance Vs. Regular Atomizers For Ego-C
blucavvy replied to VaporMikePL's topic in New Vapers Forum
if your'e content with them then yes, no reason to switch. you could pick up a sr one just to experiment, but if what you've got is working there's no reason to spend more money -
the wraps are nice, i got one of the desert camo one's.

What Is The Highest Volt Mod Has Anyone Used?
blucavvy replied to willmon22's topic in General Vaping Discussion
5v 808 passthru is the highest I've ever gone and probly will ever go.I'm either vaping that or one of my 3.7v LEO's or 808's. The v/t/f is perfect for me at those voltages, I honestly have no reason or desire to go bigger, faster, better like most..... -
how long you can use the carto is completely dependent on how much you vape. you might only get a week out of a carto, you might get two weeks. basically when the draw of the carto starts getting tight, or when it starts tasting burnt or nasty at all just throw it out. you can boil them to clean them out but imho it's not worth it. carto's are cheap. i generally get a full week out of one of mine, vaping about 2-2.5mls a day. i get more time out of my larger carto's but for now let's just say generally about a week of good solid use. you can always add new flavors to a current flavor carto, but you want to make sure the flavors will "work" together. for example, vanilla and caramel or something would probably be a good combo, menthol and caramel, probably not so good.

Does Vaping Really Feed The Monkey For You?
blucavvy replied to Soberrider's topic in General Vaping Discussion
it just takes time, you can't expect to be dropping your nic content down every month or so. find a mg that your'e comfortable with that provides the right th and what not and stick with it for awhile. i was at 24mg for about 2 months when i first quit smoking, and then dropped down to 16-18mg and was there for roughly 3months and i just now dropped down to the 11-12mg. it took me half a year to drop down to 12mg. if you try to move too fast you won't feel satisfied, and if your'e not satisfied you'll either jump back up to a higher nic content or worse yet go back to smoking. take your time and change when it's comfortable for you. that's the nice part about being able to order different amounts of juice, if you get a 10ml of lower nic content you can try it out for a full day or two or three or whatever and find out if it'll really work for you. there is no "set time limit" of when you should switch, every single person is going to be able to lower their nic content and ultimately quit when it's comfortable for them and no sooner. as kitsune said the biggest thing the nic does is provide th. and the most important thing to remember is that you took the biggest step in switching over from smoking to vaping, nicotine is a drug and it's certainly not good for you so the ultimate goal should be to lower your nic content and ultimately quit vaping, but take as much time as you need. nic won't kill you quickly the way that smoking CAN. -
there's nothing wrong with the joye 510 slim batts but yes the gen2 kr808 batteries are better. i believe the joye 510 batts are regulated to about 3.2-3.4volts, whereas the gen2 kr808 batts (like the volt from smokelessimage) are regulated to 3.7volts. also automatic gen2 808's are almost all the newer "sealed" style batts, they're not actually sealed but are way, way more juice resistant than other automatic battery's. also, per mm of size the 808's have higher mah. i believe the standard 510 slim batts are roughly 280mah (roughly 78mm size) gen2 808's are as follows 65mm "mini" batts-220mah 78mm "standard" batts-320mah 102mm "mega" batts-420mah gen1 808's were roughly (based on manufacturer) 65mm-180mah 78mm-280mah 102mm-380mah
-
i've never personally followed that rule, just about every manufacturer recommends it but i remember reading an article about lithium ion battery's awhile back and it clearly stated that was NOT how li ion batts actually work. but, i don't suppose it would hurt. they usually just never come fully charged right outta the box.

Help! Glv2 Popping Hr Attys First Button Press
blucavvy replied to ManAlive's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
I know literally next to nothing about mods, however just based on the fact that its instantly popping every atty ur putting on there it sounds like the battery/batteries are firing with way too much voltage. Sure ur using the right one/ones? If so I'd be thinking bout sending it back for warranty repair/replacement -
sounds like you've ordered some quality parts! Ull love the kgo! Welcome to vaportalk!

where abouts in illinois are u?

u might pick up a sr and try both

here's an example, i use 2.0ohm boge carto's on my standard 808's (220mah) regulated at 3.7v and the vapor is perfect, put on a higher resistance carto (say a sr 2.8) and it's just simply not as good. that's the safe carto to run on such a low mah batt (2.8ohm) but it's just not as good as the 2.0ohm on my 5v 808 passthru however i never use anything lower than a 2.8ohm sr carto, because at 5v it kicks out plenty warm enough vapor. the 5v doesn't have to work as hard to put out warm vapor.
-
exactly. here's how it breaks down. you want lower ohm carto's/atty's matched to lower voltage batts you want higher ohm carto's/atty's matched to higher voltage batts so one would think well then i want a 2.0ohm or 1.7ohm carto for my 3.7v stuff right? right! here's the kicker though, you have to factor in the mah of the batt. the 2.0ohm boge cartos work amazing on an 808 stick style batt, super warm vapor, and very large clouds. however lower ohm stuff draws a lot more power from the battery to help create that warm, thick vapor and on a batt that doesn't have much mah to begin with it will kill the batt in short order. that's why you can use 1.5-2.0ohm stuff on like an ego or leo without having to worry about it, because the mah is at least 650 or higher, with a 2.0ohm carto you want at least 450mah or higher, which no stick sized batt has. the "mega" 808's have about 420 (gen2 anyways) but even that is really not good enough to run such a low resistance. it can be done, i do it everyday, but i can't recommend it cuz i don't want you coming back a month from now saying your batt's already dead! lol, personally i've run 2.0ohm boge carto's on ALL my 808's (220mah) for months now and not a single one has died yet, but that doesn't mean you or anyone else will have the same luck. higher ohm carto's/atty's kick out plenty warm enough vapor at 5+v and several hundred (if not thousand) mah. to get warm vapor out of a low voltage batt, you have to drop down the ohm's. does that make sense or did i just go on a rant?
-
if it's 3.7 i'd use the lr, if the vapor is too warm or even hot, then you can always throw a sr atty on there.
-
i use the boge 2.0ohm carto's on mine, however be warned that it will drastically reduce the overall lifespan of the battery, and the amount of time you get between charges. a standard resistance for a 200-300mah batt would be about 2.8ohms. http://www.avidvaper.com/products/Boge-Blank-KR808-Soft-Tip-Cartomizers.html here's some low resistance carto's, they're just not boges http://www.litecigusa.net/KR808d_1_Premium_LOW_RESISTANCE_SOFT_CAP_Blank_Car_p/premlrkrblankcart.htm

other than the electronics i don't see y it wouldn't be, it's all machined aluminum. really nice piece.

i only have experience with the LEO dual coil cartomizers, (which is much larger than a standard 1ml boge) but i love them! they're about twice the price as a regular LEO carto, so i don't know that i'll be ordering a bunch, but i can easily say that they're on par with the boge 2.0ohm lr carto's i use on my 808's. i will be ordering some 510 dual coils to try soon but like i said, so far i'm a fan.
