Atty's can last one month or a couple months--they are still considered disposable--won''t last more than a few months (usually)- always good to have backups and then maybe a couple more backups. as for the cone--I don't usually keep the cone on. I actually like know how warm or hot the atty is. helps me know when my atty needs a bit of a break. Very, Very glad you are enjoying your ego

Welcome !!! The 510 is a great unit. Very glad you have found us. sorry, not going to be much help with tobacco flavors. The only tobacco flavor I have ever used is Marlboro/USA mix. None really taste like tobacco. Like Lily said--its very trial and error. just a matter of trying different flavors--many suppliers have 3 and 5ml sizes--great for finding just the right flavors. I am so sorry !!!! Building a backup supply takes a bit of time. but as you have discovered--backups, backups and backups. Its even harder being so far away from supplies. I am so sorry you had to go back to smoking ( even temporarily). I really hope your shippment gets to you fast !!!

Made up a batch of apple pie 0 Nic. I am in Love. This one turned out really, really yummy. very good throat hit and excellent vapor. 2.5 ml VG(Wordup) or Wiltons Glycerin(Walmart) -- I tried both- and both worked well. I think the VG has slightly better throat hit, both have great vapor. 1.3 ml apple pie flavoring (Flavourart) 4 drops cinnamon (schilling - over the counter from walmart--baking/spice isle) 4 drops doppio expresso (TW-Decadant Vapours) 4 drops menthol (Flavourart) Between this one and the raspberry--I can vape 0 nic. I never thought I would say that...... The throat hit is good with both of them. I am going to try to vape 0 nic only for the next couple days and see if nicotine really does play a role in my addiction or if it really is just the pacifier effect....

There really is nothing like vaping !!! The pear and menthol sounds wonderful. I still have a 1/2 pack of smokes in my jeep (over a year old now). I can picture you dancing in the living room and your family certain you have finally gone around the bend....... Happiest vaping

I have never had the nerve to try the crystals, I much prefer already mixed and ready to go. Like you said--its always consistent. One bottle will last years.

Hey hodge--DIY flavor shack, freedom smoke usa (flavourart) or TW-DV concentrates. All work great. just a little goes a very, very long way !!! tried the Tiramisu--it was a bust. Just doesn't taste right. Not sure if the flavourart tiramisu has changed or if its just me. took the tiramisu mix and added it to some wordup champagne--very, very yummy now. (however, it's no longer 0 nic) Going to try to make some 0 nic apple pie tomorrow.

So I have finally taken a step into the 0 nic territory. for me throat hit is mandatory and I have always heard that 0 nic provides much less throat hit. Im pretty sure I can live without nicotine, but I can't live without throat hit. 2mls of VG (wordup) .5mls of Raspberry (Lorann) 3 drops of menthol (Flavorart) All I can say is that I am very, very happy with this flavor and of course the throat hit. The throat hit is a little less than when i vape my 18mg, but I actually have to be concentrating to notice the difference. I have used it with my VP/PT and my Ego and it workded great with both devices. I think the key is the little bit of menthol..... hopefully later today I will be trying some 0 nic Tiramisu !!!

Don't know about the mega carts--I have only just started trying the regular 510 carts. Pulling the filler out was just a random thought for me--I really wanted to try the blue foam in it, figured worst case scenario I would lose the cartomizer and would be out a couple bucks. Honestly, I think I still prefer the standard carts with blue foam--easier to change the foam and the carts still hold about .5ml of liquid.

The problem is when they were first coming out you wanted smokers to identify with the products and now its too late, we don't want the rest of the world to identify them with cigarettes. the term PV (personal vaporizer) has been around for a while. I think PV sounds better anyway. I think a different universal term would have helped us for a while, but in the end--somebody wants their cut.......

It does seem that many now use cartomizers--but I do still use carts more than cartomizers. But then, I already put my vote in for blue foam. Hey Prof !!!!!

Beginners Luck??? Could it be that I had been using the carto and the filler was still wet??? mine didn't seem to have anything else in there....but then again this was the first time I had pulled the filler out... sounds more like the coil is getting too hot--that would be why the vapor was hot. usually when I need to add liquid it has a dry taste and the vapor production falls way off.

It was a regular 510 carto. new to using cartomizers, so not sure about any anatomy differences between the regular and the LR's. Sorry it died.... The one I pulled the filler out of has been working fine.... But your right--the LR must be built different than the regulars.

Very glad vaping is working for you. It really is amazing !!! you can rinse out the carts or just use a Q tip to give it a bit of a wipe now and again. no particular rule on this. If you think you will be stick with dripping or at least on and off, definitely need to look at drip tips for you next order. saves having to take the cart on and off. instead of the cart, the end is open and can drip to the atty without taking anything off. as far as batteries--can last a month or several months -- batteries are improving however. I really do like backups !!! for me the 510 batteries seem to last a couple months. The charge time does decrease with use and recharging. The Ego hasn't been around long enough to tell for sure how long these will last. but the daily Ego battery time is much, much longer than the 510. (so far anyway)

When using in a cart it acts as a type of plug. I haven't had a problem with it leaking from the atomizer or the mouth end of the cart. using it in the cartomizer--I only add enough liquid to be absorbed by the foam.
