Congrats on becoming an ex-smoker. like you, tried a smoke a few days after starting vaping and again at a week--have not had a single craving since--couldn't smoke again even if I wanted to. Been vaping for a little over 16 months--and can never go back !!! I do have some atty's than leak now and again--sometimes if you remove the cartomizer or atty (depending on what you are using)--wipe off the connections on the atty and the battery connection. reattach--seems to help the leaking for a while. some just don't seem to have the best connection. PG does seem to by more drying for me, but it seems to carry flavor better. I really seem to like a PG/VG 50/50 mix. VG is much better vapor and a bit sweeter. Very glad you are loving vaping !!!!

VT Mentha is really good. I also use flavourart menthol flavoring(very concentrated) from freedom smoke usa or DV (from TW) menthol concentrate. for me-- VT Menta I add about 5-8 drops to a 5ml bottle of liquid--really depends on taste. I would probably start with 3-4 and add a drop at a time until you get the right strength. Flavour art--3 drops/5ml DV- 1 drop to 5ml With menthol its best to start small and add. too much and it overpowers the flavor you are trying to enhance. A little goes a very long way. I find the VT Mentha is a more subtle addition and works best with most flavors. The Flavourart and DV are easier to add too much as they are much more concentrated. I really do add at least a little to all of my liquids

researching your first unit is very confusing at first, trying to keep them all straight. Sharpie, Ego XL(without cone), Ego(with cone), 510 The ego really does have the all around best battery life. The VT Dulcis is a really nice flavor. Wordup has some great kits and accessories. The 520 is just longer than the 510 and has a bit better battery life than the standard 510

Congrats Watermelon is one of my favorites. you can even try to blend some of the watermelon and orange and see if it helps the orange flavor...... I still vape more frequently than I smoke--but have figured out my nicotine intake, and its no more than when I was smoking. I vape a bit at a time vs smoking a whole cigarette.

One thing that has always helped me with throat hit was adding just a bit of menthol to all my flavors. By adding just a few drops--it seems to enhance the flavor and add to the throat hit. It really helps with the 0 nic. For me Throat hit is the most important part of vaping--if I can get the throat hit, Nicotine is very secondary. I was never a menthol smoker--adding just a little adds to the TH without tasting like menthol.

My Mgs stays about the same throughout the day, somewhere between 12 and 18mg--depending on how much flavoring I have added. Flavors seems to vary throughout the day. I usually have a fruit flavor, apple pie and a coffee flavor in rotation throughout the day--not in any particular order. I really seem to like the fruit flavors with my VP/PT.

Welcome !!! would put my vote in for the Ego/Tornado. the 900Mah lasts me all day. for less filling--cartomizers and drip tips. I think your dad may prefer drip tips. no fuss, no muss. just add 2-3 drops directly to the atomizer as needed. usually 5-6 draws. vape and repeat. The cartomizers hold more liquid and need filling less often. good for when out and about or driving. It usually takes a bit of trial and error to figure out what works best. personally, I prefer drip tips or atomizer/cartridge with blue foam.

Very glad your trip went well. I love vaping and traveling. no worrying about when I could have my next smoke...... Loved discreetly vaping in line while at disneyland--nobody said a word. Planes, trains and automobiles.... I so want to go to costa rica. looking at maybe the florida keys this next summer.

Sometimes the wick does begin to burn when it gets too hot and not enough liquid. If you are mostly direct dripping may want to consider removing the fibers(wick) from under the coil. helps alot with burning taste.

There are a few options for adding sweetness. DIY flavorshack carries a product called Eythol Maltol, which is a sweetener. Currently I actually prefer Loranns cottoncandy or marshmallow for sweetening. neither have much flavor on their own, but are great for adding to mixes. Many of the flavorings are not very sweet. Mixing is fun !!

backups, backups, backups !!!! I love my red Ego. Work is currently helping to support my vaping habit.....almost time to do some more shopping. I love getting lovely packages !!! It never gets old. I feel bad for patients that are dying (literally) to have a smoke. 12 hours shifts and vaping are perfect companions !!

Had my physical today...told my dr. I quit smoking 16 months ago, but I do use nicotine--her response " I am so happy you quit smoking".

yup, just a couple drops of menthol goes a very long way. really helps with the throat hit. or sometimes you just need a bit of nicotine. kinda like drinking that extra cup of coffee to stay awake.

Sorry, no help with PEG400. I've heard of it, but have never really researched it. I stick to PG/VG--it works for me anyway. Hopefully somebody will know something...... VG and Loranns makes for a good 0 nic mix. the raspberry is really, really good.

I really like the ones I got from Wordup. work great with the ego and cone. but any of the drip tips should work. I haven't heard of any of the 510 drip tips not working with the ego.

I'm thinking they really need purple. You are going to absolutely love your riva !!!! Fingernail stickers really do make great decorative additions !!! Walgreens has a great selection for adding a bit of girly sparkle. can't wait to hear what you think of the Riva !!
