  1. All in the learning curve..... It really does get easier and actually becomes second nature. I still love trying new products and techniques. There is a lot of trial and error until you find what works best for you. but in the mean time---so many flavors to try......
  2. I have found that there are certain flavors I can't taste very well and cherry is one of them. I found I can add it to a combination, but by itself, I just dont taste it well. If you really want a strong fruit flavor Lorann raspberry or watermelon--I have found both of those at our local craft store. I really, really like the watermelon. which brand of flavoring are you using???
  3. That was great--Martha would take one look at the dog hair in my house and run screaming. Anybody who enters my house know I have dogs and you will be covered in dog hair--Jeans are your best option. Hmmmm--wondering if I really can send the kids next door..... Thank you Nana. Made my day.
  4. funny, I was just noticing the same thing with a couple of my flavors that I put aside. but then again I also have a couple that lose flavor over a few days.....
  5. vaping is definitely getting a foot hold. Great story !!! we need all the support we can get
  6. I have decided taste is a very funny thing--Flavors I didn't like initially, became my favorites. My taste buds seemed to change fairly quickly. the 0 nics usually are a bit less harsh and a bit sweeter overall to me (which I like). But I still like the throat hit that is offered by nicotine. I usually alternate between the 2. could be also that you are feeling better there for tasting a bit better.....
  7. Ya, Like Christopher said... The learning curve takes a bit of time and patience, but is so worth it all. As, I am sure, you have already noticed--vaping tastes soooo much better than smoking. Hopefully you are feeling better...
  8. I love Apple Dapple...Now I have to get up and get it.....
  9. Best start working on thanksgiving dishes and putting up those lights. Maybe some vacuuming.....
  10. I have given myself a nice headache a few times, occasional sore throat--and I definitely vape more than I smoked. Inhaling any chemicals into your lungs isn't 'Healthy' -- cleaning chemicals, smog, dust ..... For me personally--I feel so much better overall since I started vaping vs smoking. The best option is always to quit altogether, but since for me, thats not going to happen, I'll take my chances with vaping. Its good to be a bit paranoid--Like snubber said--if the symptoms continue, might be a good idea to get checked out. and drink more water.....
  11. Congrats on the wonderful banner fino4beat !!!! Hey Hawk--Very glad you got your ego, very sad you got sick !!! When you are well again you will enjoy all the benefits of your Ego. you are entitled to a couple smokes.
  12. Watermelon with strawberry/banana and a bit of wordup champagne.
  13. For me I love coffee(capp or expresso-depending on whats handy) with my apple pie and vanilla icecream (vanilla flavoring), Marshmallow because I wanted a bit of extra sweetness. I add a couple drops of menthol to everything for a better cool throat hit. If I am playing with my Tiramisu--I would add coffee type flavor(same thing, like coffee with my dessert, plus tiramisu has a coffee flavor to it), chocolate, maybe hazelnut (just like the nutty flavor) I also have been using champagne (wordup) as a base for some of my mixes--it doesn't have a very strong flavor by itself, but it is a bit sweet and a smooth taste. mixes great with all kinds of flavors. The champagnes reminds me a bit of VT midnight. Fruit mixes--almost all the fruits mix well together--pina colada (Lorann), pineapple (Flavourart), maybe some coconut, cherry. strawberry and banana, think fruit salad or fruit smoothie, fruit punch..... Its deciding what flavors might go into a recipe ....... or mixing like flavors. Thats why its best to start with flavors or tastes you know--so as you are picking your flavorings you have an idea of what you want it to taste like. If you have never had tiramisu you wouldn't know what it should taste like..... Any Clearer???? Yes, alot of trial and error. But I have found I can add to a mix until I like it or use it to add to another mix.
  14. YEAH !!!! So glad you have finally been able to get started. definitely a learning curve..... but sooooo much better than smoking. I have no illusion that my children will be bringing me my vaping gear to me in the nursing home (hopefully a few years yet). I have no doubt I would still be smoking if I hadn't found vaping--pacifier effect and it really is way too much fun !!! ask away !!!
  15. I'm guessing you will have to keep him now That really is worthy of a huge Thank you !!! Tell I thank him too, for being an amazing man who loves his wife alot !!!
  16. Well, I mix a bit like I cook. I decide which flavor I want to be dominant i.e. Apple pie flavoring. I like fairly strong mixes so am usually at 40 % or so. Then I just add the other flavors a few drops (5 or so) until I get the right flavor. tasting as I go and adding as I go. (usually mixing 5 or 10 ml batches) if you are mixing small only add a couple drops at a time. tobacco flavorings are always very, very strong 1-2 drops/ 5mls menthol flavoring is also fairly strong so only add a couple at a time. there is a bit of trial and error--thats where mixing in small amounts comes in handy. If you want to see what a particular flavor tastes like--just use a few drops of VG or PG and add a drop or 2 of the flavoring and vape--will give you an idea of how strong the flavor is. sometimes it takes me a couple days of adding here and there until i get the flavor I want. If you are still stuck I am more than happy to help with how much--Just need what flavor you are trying for and what ingredients you have to work with..... You can do this !!!!!
  17. I have heard really good things about faeries finest extracts My link for flavorings. I haven't tried them yet, but they are on my next months list. ended up ordering some new flavors, going to try the lorann peanut butter-- Looking forward to trying some of these new recipes.
  18. This is my current absolute favorite: Apple Pie 3ml Cappuccino 18 mg (wordup) 2ml 36mg unflavored 4ml apple pie flavoring (FlavourArt) 1ml Vanilla (FlavourArt) 4 drops Menthol (FlavourArt) 1ml Marshmallow (Lorann_ 5 drops expresso (FlavourArt)
  19. ROFL !!!! Its amazing how sometimes its the little things that stump us !!!!
  20. LOL--sounds like you will be having fun. You have a good set up to get started. The Wiltons vanilla extract work great. can't wait to hear how your creations turn out !!! I love being able to change flavors to suit my taste. Just be extremely careful with the 48mg/ml--getting it on your skin can cause you to feel sick--wash immediately or wear gloves. small spills can be lethal to animals and make small children very, very ill. Merry Mad Mixing !!!!
  21. Thanks for those amazing recipes-- I will be in mixing heaven !!!
  22. My House is the land of misfits. My Family is in California and Arizona and getting time off around the holidays is always impossible. My husband and the kids will be here (what, free food..). Started out as a couple friends that all have family out of state and has since grown to 16-20 people. I can't stand for anybody to be alone on the holidays. I love to cook and am very particular about the turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and yams---everybody else brings misc. odds and ends. I imagine alcohol will be involved. I have never cooked for this many people before--so it will be interesting. especially as I have to work the night before.... sleep is over rated anyway. I can't believe its almost Thanksgiving !!! I am so thankful for all of you and being a non smoker for 18 months !!!!
  23. Good for you Bahama, mixing can be tons of fun and extremely interesting. 0-Nic is not as bad as I thought it would be. I am really loving at 4.5v. honestly, the only reason I mix with any nicotine is because I have alot stashed--too cheap to not use it. I find I am alternating more and more with 0 nicotine cant wait to hear what you think.....
  24. LOL !!! We have all been there, done that. I can now say I speak a second language.....
