Determining My 2Nd Unit Before 1St One Arrives
kitsune replied to TroopX's topic in New Vapers Forum
Sorry the flavors are so nasty !! The VT flavors will open up a whole new world. Your taste buds will be going through some serious changes in the next few weeks. The tobacco flavors were never quite right for me--I moved away from them fairly quickly after starting vaping. Takes a little bit to get all the bits and pieces together to find your 'sweet' spot. BTW--Love your Avatar !!!! Great Dane?? I'm a Mastiff owner--Love big, big Dogs. -
LOL. You obviously made quite an impression....poor guy looking for his lost vaping sponsor.....

Great article. I too applaude N-Joy for taking on the FDA--no small task. Glad they are fighting for their company and the future of vaping.

Determining My 2Nd Unit Before 1St One Arrives
kitsune replied to TroopX's topic in New Vapers Forum
definitely recommend the ego !!! the 900 or 1000+mah will give you all day battery life. very durable and reliable. excellent place to begin the vaping journey. The Ego used 510 atomizers or cartomizers--great for throat hit. sorry not much help with tobacco flavors--moved away from them a long time ago. I hear great things about the VT stores dulcis and exotic tobacco flavors. sorry about greensmoke--but at least it piqued your interest...... -
The Ego is a mass produced device, and is a great PV. Very dependable, great battery life, smaller than most Mods. I really love my Ego. But, I also Love my mods. different models for different moods.
-
The 510 is the model number for the battery and also for the 510 atomizers. so, 510 atomizers go with 510 batteries, the Ego also takes 510 atomizers.
The only draw back to the 510 batteries is the charge life--when brand new they will last 2-3 hours of moderate use before needing to be charged.
The Ego is about the same length, just a bit 'fatter', but the battery life between charges is much better. 6-8 hours for the standard Ego batteries.

a 'mod' (Modified e-cig) is usually a higher voltage device or a device that is not mass produced such as the 510, 901, Ego.....

starting with the 510 or the Ego is really personal preference. Just make sure you research before you decide.

Like Mcquinn pointed out--The carts themselves get loose over time and just don't stay in place well--then its time for a new cartridge. The carts Themselves have a small end cap that sometimes just becomes loose--if it is the end cap of the cart (not the the end that fits into the atomizer), it can be left off the cartridge. does that make sense???
-
It really does help !!! The wick is designed to help the liquid wick from the cart, but honestly I haven't noticed a difference with or without the wick. Now I go wickless and drip. It really is pretty easy to do.
-
are you asking about the end cap of the carts when they are attached to the atomizer??
-
Did you get any extra liquid?? or just the prefilled carts?? Like Uma Posted--Make sure you have put on one of the prefilled carts. The cart that is on the atomizer is blank--no filler, no liquid. You can try adding a couple drops of liquid directly to the atomizer to get things started. My preference is direct dripping....My link.

Hey Lori !!! Glad you are still vaping and have some place you can go to to get supplies. still no store fronts that I know of in Colorado. Being Broke really is no fun at all.

Best Price On Unflavored Ejuice / Flavorings
kitsune replied to taylorj's topic in DIY e Liquid Discussion
Not much to add, Brian pretty much covered it. Just make sure you are ordering from a reputable supplier and if you are going to use high nicotine concentration be extremely careful. It really is very dangerous at higher concentrations. I vape 18mg/ml and usually mix with 36mg/ml--just makes calculating easy. I mostly use flavourart flavoring from freedomsmokeusa. but have used DIY flavorshack also. Both great places. -
I see some mixing in my future. The Lava Flow sounds really, really yummy !!! I have thought about trying some agave nector--I guessing in very small quantities it should not crystalize on the atty...... I will probably stick to ethyl maltol, cotton candy or marshmallow. so far i have had very good luck with these as sweeteners.
-
yup--comcast. I hate the price, but can't live without cable internet--honestly, I haven't had any problems with their internet--cable for the TV is a different story however...... options are pretty limited.
-
That is how I have cleaned my attys for the last 1 1/2 years. works well. occasionally I will use compressed air to blow out the atty. When I use compressed air, I combine it with the method below. atty's for me last a month or so.
-
I think that should definitely count as your first mod.

I love my 900 Mah Ego's. They are really an all around great unit. however, backups are always good to have.

Daughter Now At University Of Chicago
kitsune replied to mastiffmom's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
I'm sorry your Daughter has to go through all of this. At least you will be able to help her when she get home. My prayers to your family. -
Menthol is over all one of the strongest flavors and throat hit. many 0 nic liquids lack throat hit. There are a few options and a bit of trial and error. 1. Can try adding some menthol to your existing flavor. The menthol will add some throat hit and enhances the flavor a bit. With Menthol-a little goes a long way. 2. add flavoring to your current flavor. Loranns candy flavoring My link--concentrated flavoring. The flavors have been used with varying degrees of success. I like the raspberry, watermelon, cotton candy, champagne, english toffee and pina colada. Flavourart- My link. I have had better luck with this brand. not as concentrated, but like the flavors a bit better. The arctic menthol is great for that extra kick. 3. DIY flavorshack My link. 4. Ms. T's Bakery My link. finding the right flavors can be a bit of a challenge. Others will chime in with more suggestions.

I actually gave up on using the Ego cone, That way I can see if there any leaks, and atty's do leak.
-
I would think most RC guys would be kinda gadgety and the vaping world is full of gadgets !!! Keep 'em coming Hodge
-
LOL Snubber--I remember when that all started....very catchy acronym. I seem to go back and forth also. PV does sound less negative, but the term e-cig is what gets peoples attention. I usually use the term PV when talking to somebody that already knows about e-cigs.

Growing faster and faster !!! Chris, you have done an amazing job keeping things running and improving things at every corner. Very glad to have such a wonderful place to hang out. I really, really love this place and all the great people that make it feel like home !!!

First Low Res Atty Tastes Kinda... Gross!
kitsune replied to humblesound's topic in New Vapers Forum
Just don't leave that in your front pocket when you decide to sit down...... Those pesky wicking fibers are the bane of my existence--they do serve a purpose (kinda)--they are there to help the liquid wick to the coil-especially when using carts with filler. However--I have pulled the fibers out and used carts and not had any issues. For me, I always let the atty get just dry enough to burn the fibers.....so, out they go... Like Brian pointed out--the mighty paper clip is a very useful tool.
