  1. Congrats !!! I can never handle waiting for DIY to steep. The only time it gets to steep is when I make a larger batch and the part I am not vaping gets to steep while it waits to get vaped.....
  2. Its March (new budget)--Just ordered by Tank. Finding one was a bit difficult. so many places sold out. Had to settle for a titanium one (wanted purple ). So naturally I had to order a Titanium Ego-T battery to go with my new Tank. Thank you Liberty-Flights for having something in stock. New products always experience growing pains.....my next tank will definitely be purple to go with my purple ego-T batts.
  3. Fantastic !!! When I am talking to somebody about ecigs--I give them all the starter information (including this place)--tell them to look around and do some research and when they are ready to order, I will gladly help them !!! Like you, I don't want them to blame me if they hate it..... The Riva really is a great place to start and great price.
  4. LOL--you can absolutely keep the essence of c-diff---get more than enough of that at work !!! Tons and Tons of Trial and error with mixing--there really isn't any right or wrong. Keep in mind that what ever you put into your mix, you will be putting into your lungs. Granted, not much can be worse than cigarette. My link This link is for DIY basics. and can at least get you started. The problem with making your own flavoring is flavor retention, and time and effort. However, will love to hear what you come up with. I really love mixing. so many flavor combinations. The DIY section has some recipes floating around.
  5. I LOVE purple--such a girly color for a mostly tom boy...... can use any of the 510's with it--its just an Ego--Just longer lasting battery and the ability to disable the battery. I really, really love it. Can never have enough batteries. however, its almost march and I can order the tank portion of the unit !!!
  6. Liberty flights is really great !!! I have never had anything but great service and products. don't have a riva yet... but did just get the Ego-T from them. Liberty flights is one of the first companies I began vaping with--will always have a soft spot for them.
  7. Usually I twist up the corner of a paper towel or kleenex and gently push into the open end of the atty and let sit for a while--If I am in a hurry, I blow through the battery end of the atty--can also use compressed air (carefully)
  8. so far just the battery--the Tank is on the shopping list for March--Just a couple days a way now..... Not sure why I didn't think to order the tank at the same time ... distracted by the (purple) battery I guess...
  9. I recently purchase the Joye Ego - T from Liberty-flights and all I can say is WOW. I bought the 1000Mah Ego -T. The only real difference is it can be turned on and off so as not to accidently set it off while in a pocket or what not. if you click the button 5 times quickly it will completely turn off (or on) the battery. so many times I have felt a strange burning in my pocket or pulled my ego out of my bag and found the atty to be really hot. Being able to disable the battery in between uses is great. Not to mention the great battery life. The 1000Mah lasts me about a 1 1/2 days (sometimes more)-- Just thought I would share this info--I must say, just when I thought the ego couldn't get any better they come up with a way to turn it on and off. I love Vaping !!!!!!!!!!
  10. There is alot of trial and error involved with mixing. I still find I have a tendency to fidget with flavors. The best part is being able to a drop or two to adjust the flavor. sometimes it takes me a couple days to get it just right. I am so glad you are having fun with it !! It really is satisfying to make your own flavors.
  11. Sounds like you will soon be enjoying the adventures of mixing. it really is kinda fun to create new flavors. doesn't matter which you add first. Like Nana said--mix small and start with just the flavoring until you get a flavor you like. the nicotine will add the throat hit. Unfortunately, Like Nana--I too know the sorrows of not being able to repeat a flavor because I forgot what all I mixed into it.....
  12. Very Good Save Erika !!!! That was how I got started with DIY. I am also one of the flavor challenged and always need to add flavoring to any liquids I buy. once in a while I will mix from scratch, but mostly I like adding to the premixed flavors--saves time.
  13. using a standard 510 cart or cartomizer. with the standard carts--sometimes the plastic will melt when the atty gets too hot. I have since given up and only use drip tips, but the plastic burning was a pain. I know there was a certain way to line them up to help prevent burning--but no matter how I lined it up, it would occasionally melt. The reservoir you are seeing is it in the part that goes at the atty end or is the mouth piece end??
  14. Next on my list of things to buy next month !!! soooo many cool toys and gadgets. I can't keep up these days. Congrats !!! I can't wait to try the tank.
  15. I love DIY best fix for flavors you can't taste or don't like much.
  16. I have never used the doublers--I am assuming the doubler has nicotine in it. basically, i.e.-- if the doubler is 10 ml 18mg you would add it to 10ml 18 mg unflavored for a total of 20 ml liquid. I haven't bought unflavored for a while and hadn't noticed the price difference, but your right--the unflavored is a bit more expensive, not sure why. Liberty Flights does have unflavored for cheaper My link. But they only have it in 24 mg/ml.....
  17. Using doublers is really pretty easy. Almost any of the suppliers sell unflavored nicotine liquid. You will probably need an empty bottle to mix into. Just add the unflavored and the doubler to an empty bottle shake and vape.
  18. I am pretty sure Rose's Grenadine has sugar in it. sugars will crystalize on the atty and destroy it quickly. Food flavorings are the best bet as they do not have sugars and are water soluble. some flavorings are oil based and can also be hard on the atomizers. Hope that helps.
  19. Gotta Love apocalypse now !!! Most of the Lorann flavors are sweet. You really may want to look at Flavourart--I really have had the most luck with their flavors. Not quite as concentrated but not near as sweet. Freedom smoke usa or Liberty Flights UK are the ones I use most often. would post links, but my computer is being a pain.
  20. I have vaped in several airline restrooms and have yet to set off the alarm. Then again, I don't blow directly into the smoke detector. I just vape normal--only time i don't stealth vape while on airplane or airport. Not had a problem yet. Have fun with those smoke detectors Jag !!!
  21. Save the email for future converts. I keep my condensed information and links etc in an email, when somebody is interested I just email them my latest info to get them started. At least you will have helped them to begin their vaping experience, no matter what they ignore. and yes, they will be coming to you for help instead of watching the videos. At least they are willing to give things a try and you will share all that you have learned.
  22. I bought the Pharmacy glycerin (skin protectant) and surprisingly it too was sweet. I used to use the food grade glycerin because I thought the pharmacy glycerin was different. Honestly, the food grade is a bit sweeter, but not by much.
  23. LOL-- its good to know it wasn't liberty flights. The price from china may be better--but returns are not going to be fun (if needed). I am never patient enough to wait 2-4 weeks for my supplies. Glad they are going to get their stuff soon anyway.
  24. The cheescake and the watermelon are really good. the cheesecake is good for mixing with other flavors. I usually use a PG/VG mix. but, as you noticed, it really doesn't take much flavoring. nothing like a little napalm in the morning.
  25. I have been using Liberty flights since they started their US site -- They very well may have had a miscalculation and they are awaiting a shipment to arrive from China (Where the parts come from). I would get the information from your mother-in-law and contact them yourself. Usually Abe (the owner) is on top of things. The Parent company is located in the UK--same for Totally Wicked, but they also have US sites. I have never had anything but great service from them. That doesn't mean they never mess up.
