honestly, it really does depend on personal preference. the 900 is a bit longer than 650's, basically the higher the ego # the longer the battery and the longer it will last between charges. I have 650, 900, and 1000--they are all great.

Sorry, I think thats the 6 million dollar question, I don't know if anybody has actually found a refillable liquid that has the same flavor....If I'm wrong, somebody will be along to correct me. have you tried emailing the vendor you got them from??

I have been vaping for almost 2 years--and honestly, I don't really have any plans to quit. I know for a fact--I would still be smoking if it hadn't been for vaping. I had absolutely quit quitting before I found vaping. I love the pacifier effect.

Me too. I have had runs of bad atty's (not too often thank goodness), I have ended up with bad atty's from many vendors. sometimes it is a bad batch. You really should contact them and let them know they may have a bad batch on their hands. Abe (US and UK side), works hard to sell quality stuff. #1--can never have enough backups #2-- I can't go a month without buying something. I probably have enough to make it through my life time......but what if.... and ooooh, thats cool.....and...and...

We all understand the need to slip away at times. When you need us, we will still be here. We also provide life support when needed (doesn't even have to be vaping related). Tons of fuzzy hugs and hopes things will get better very, very soon.

When I first started with DIY I would just add a bit of flavoring to one of my existing flavors to make the flavor stronger or just change a flavor I didn't really like. 3 ml Bottle--add premixed liquid of your choice, add a 3-4 drops of flavoring--vape--add a bit more flavoring if needed. -- The only thing to keep in mind--depending on what strength you are using--the flavoring will dilute the nicotine strength depending on how much flavoring you are using. It really can be very easy or if your a nut like me--much more complicated.

The edges of the carts do have a tendency to melt when the atty gets too hot. Just a side effect of using carts. if you look inside the atomizer-the base is somewhat oblong--the cart is also somewhat oblong-if you line that up, the carts have less tendency to melt. I have since moved over the the Ego tank system for those times when I can't or its just inconvenient to drip. The tank system is so easy to use. the only draw back has been a bit of flavor loss, but great vapor and throat hit. The ego T atomizer and ego T cartridges = Ego Tank system. Will work with any Ego battery.

For those that are using carts, I recommend the Blue Marine (fish aquarium) filter material or the fluval 2 plus (closest to the white filler). Much less melting or burning. The quilt batting or craft store filler--does have a tendency to melt if it gets at all dry in the cart. I used to add a couple drops to the top of the filler often, from there, I moved to dripping. Hope that helps a bit.

Erika summed things up nicely. You will find many personal preferences. mine is dripping--be it LR (Low Resistance) or standard atty. I have never had much luck with cartomizers, but many swear by them. Honestly, over time, you will probably try a little of each to find what works best for you. The low resistance atomizers and cartomizers--heat a bit faster and requires less pull, gives a better throat hit overall.. Clear as mud??? if its still a bit murky, somebody will have more information........

VG does help with vapor production, just keep in mind that too much VG and you begin to lose flavor. That is a very minty concoction you have brewed.

LOL--We have all been there. So much information floating around its easy to miss what you are looking for. No worries--never hurts to ask when you can't find something.

I really do think the nicotine in the liquids are metabolized much different than in cigarettes. the amount of nicotine that works for us in liquid isn't necessarily consistent with what we smoked. There are so many chemicals in cigarettes to enhance nicotine metabolism. The liquids don't have all those other chemicals. It all boils down to what works. honestly I don't worry much about the nicotine intake from liquid. If I were wearing the patch and chewing gum (yes, usually both), I would be taking in more nicotine than I do with vaping.

Just my 2 cents---Great Advice Beans !!!! I currently alternate between dripping and my Ego Tank. The Tank is great for when I can't drip--driving, working etc. I have found over all the tank system is really one of the easiest systems to come out. I have never been able to make cartomizers work well for me. Wordup ecig has some great flavors--much of the throat hit comes from nicotine level. I find 12mg to 18mg gives a very nice throat hit. VT's midnight is also really, really good. Great flavor and great throat hit.

Flavor is really so individual. For me I am mostly flavor challenged. With the Ego Tank, I am finding I can taste fruit type flavors much better. I have experimented with adding a bit more expresso flavoring to my mix and that has seemed to help the flavor with some of my other ones. I find I am using my Tank more and more--the throat hit and vapor is great !!

Currently My personal favorites are flavourart Tiramisu, Apple pie and expresso. I always have on hand--menthol, hazelnut, cinnamon and vanilla. Not to mention about another 50 or so flavors I play with when to mood strikes. Vaportalk Macchiato, VT Midnight and Wordup Champagne all make very nice base mixes. I don't alway use unflavored bases. I find DIY quite an adventure.

LOL--I guess that would be a bit scary. However, I do keep duct tape and WD-40 in my locker. Currently the duct tape is holding a portion of the nurses stations desk together.....

Congrats on being so patient and working so hard to help your Amy. Some of us just seem to take to vaping instantly and others just seem to have a really hard time. Doesn't help when the PG causes so much irritation. Just like any chemical we ingest or inhale, anybody can have reactions or intolerances to it. I'm glad the VG seems to be working for her, finding flavors without any PG is definitely a challenge. Congrats on hitting that 5000.....You really are a cornerstone of the forum !!

Congrats !!! I love DIY. I am always tweaking flavors. I have found that adding just a bit of menthol to any flavor really works--adds a cool throat hit and enhances the flavors. so many flavor options with DIY. Merry mixing

Nana---You are going to sell me on the wetbox yet--if I keep buying new stuff, I really will end up in divorce court (wonder if I can keep custody of the challenger.......) I am really liking the ego tank system for when i am driving or at work (difficult to drip while at work), love dripping all the other times. I think dripping will always be my favorite for flavor and vapor, but the tank works for all those time in between. time to look at wet boxes......(like I need another model....)

sorry, not much help. As far as I know, LF uses DeKang liquids and I have always had good luck with them. I used to use the usa tobacco flavor when I first started and really liked it. nice thing about the 5ml sizes is if you don't like it, not so much waste. Good luck on your search.

The Ego Tank system has the tapered mouth piece that would fit what you are looking for. excellent battery life 1000mah--lasts me about 2 days before needing to be charged again. and the tank carts hold about a ml of liquid without the filler. and like Mcquinn pointed out--can always use the 901 carts work on any of the 510 atomizers.

I promise you will find the right process that will work for you. it is absolutely worth every ounce of trial, error and frustration. Just don't give up !!!!
