I agree with Brian. best to get the hang of vaping without the added stress. trial and error is a huge part of DIY. Good to get a hang of what flavors you like best and move from there. My initial DIY ventures simply involved mixing 2 different premixed flavors together for a new taste.

honestly, I think this falls into the realm of ---whoever thought of using food flavoring to flavor liquid we would inhale into our lungs...... The flavorings I use are all candy or food flavorings--not necessarily intended for vaping. That being said--I still put them in a PG and/or VG base add some nicotine, add some flavoring and inhale it into my lungs. I would think if you felt comfortable with the ingredients contained in the flavorings---still wouldn't be worse than smoking cigarettes and all the chemicals and carcinogens.

I am using a pg/vg mix about 80/20. Probably need to make an all pg mix and see if that helps with the flavor. Now, I just need a day off....

Not found any clear grape that tastes like grape. mixes well for a nice fruity flavor, just not as strong as lorann. I do like Forest fruit from flavourart (freedom smoke usa or ecig express). I really like the Lorann watermelon--it looks really flourescent pink, but, once it is mixed it turns from pink to a very pale clear color. The watermelon is really strong and tastes really good. However, I know its not grape.

I am really enjoying the tank at 5v on my passthrough. perfect hits and no leaking. Not sure how long the atty will last at 5v however. currently, I am really, really liking it. still working on the flavor issue.

Very good post I am liking my ego tank. I have one tip to add--I have found if the vapor or throat hit seems to be slowing down--if I pull the cart out just a bit, it seems to help alot--I'm guessing an airflow for wicking issue. Knock on wood, no leaking issues yet.

LOL--I know how that is !!! Drink lots of liquid and enjoy. sometimes a tender throat is worth it.

I have always had such great product and service from them. Have always loved their great selection of products and liquids/flavors. Lauren and Jeffery do a wonderful job and really do care about their customers Great review +1

Yet another Ego vote. I loved my 510, Its what helped me give up smoking. the only draw back to the 510 is the battery needs to be charged much more frequently. The Ego batteries are a bit fatter than the 510's, but the 650 mah batts are about the same length and the batteries last (for me) about 6-8 hours, the 900 mah about 12 hours and the 1000 mah about 1.5 days. the higher the Mah the longer the battery. The 1000 Mah batts (with atomizer and drip tip or cartomizer) is the same size as a standard sharpie. The Ego Tank system is another way to go--the Tank is an atomizer designed to work with a cartridge that doesn't require filler. you fill the cart with liquid (holds about 1 ml of liquid), attach to the tank atty. Works with any ego type battery. Liberty flights has a product called the 'Riva'--which is a knock off ego and cheaper. I've heard good things about the product. My link

CONGRATS 6 months is such an amazing milestone for not smoking !!! Some days I look at my counter in absolute amazement. One of the things that continues to amaze me is that I smoked the same brand for 30 years (marlboro red and then lights). With vaping, I can't get enough new flavors or devices.

Higher nicotine (mg/ml) than usual? or like Bryan said--new to PG or VG? I do have a few flavors that seem to give me a headache. sometimes it really is just certain flavors.

We all have our favorites and most of us get our favorites from different vendors. VT Store -- Midnight and macchiato are wonderful, oh ya and sweet dawn Wordup has a very good selection, wide range, good flavors and great customer service. My link freedom smoke usa-- very good range + DIY selection and great customer service My link Happy shopping

I agree. We really don't want the FDA with any control over this. honestly for me anyway, its a smoking alternative. Yes, I have quit smoking. But, I have also replaced it with vaping. Honestly, I really don't plan to stop vaping.

OK, I'm back. Using the tank atomizer with my VP/PT (4.9V)--but my voltage meter says 5.3. nice, very nice Flavor: DIY Tiramisu--so, so. can taste just a little. not intolerable. DIY Apple pie with some espresso-- can taste a bit of of the espresso, again, not intolerable. DIY(ish) Watermelon--this I can taste. Flavor seems to be about the same on the Ego vs the VP/PT. The vapor is a bit warmer with the VP/PT. Tank Atomizer + Tank Cart + VP/PT + Watermelon = Thank you Brian !!!!

What Mg strength liquid did you get?? The MG/ML can affect the throat hit. Longer, slow, gentle draws?? I use between 18 and 24mg liquid and get a very good throat hit along with huge amounts of vapor. It does take a couple months to start seeing the savings. the problem is sooooo many toys and different things to try. Actually took me about 6 months to slow down my spending.....
-
I can't believe I didn't think about the VP/PT !!! Yes, it does work. I love you Brian Now I just need to try a couple different flavors with it !!! Toys, Toys, Toys

Can't wait to hear how it works at higher volts. The tank atty doesn't fit any of my higher volt mods. Actually it fits my VP turbo but wont work.

Now that I have had my Tank system for a bit: I still like the Vapor and throat hit--have found it seems to get better throat hit at 24mg vs my usual 18mg. Always seems to produce tons of vapor. Flavor is still an issue. Good thing I love DIY--have been able to make my flavors a bit stronger and am able to get some flavor. I have found for some reason the fruit flavors work best. The throat hit and vapor are a bit cooler than I am used to with the 510's, but I'm getting used to it. I have also found that if the throat hit tapers off a bit, if I pull the cartridge back just a bit, it works a bit better. It will probably never be my #1 device, but I really love it for driving or at times when I can't drip. much less hassle to use. I love being able to see how much liquid is in the cartridge with the clear tanks. If ego ever figures out the flavor thing, this device would be perfect.

I am not going to be any help with cartos--hopefully Dayvape will be around--he's the resident expert. With Direct dripping: I prime my atty with about 4 drops and they when I redrip I only use 2 drops at a time. good for about 6 draws(or so). One of the drawbacks to direct dripping is the frequency. I have found with the drip tips--If I gently blow into the tip to push down any trapped liquid it helps avoid getting liquid in your mouth when you draw. hope that helps a bit. Looks like Ripple and Brian got there first !!!

I Need To Work This Out Before My Next Purchase....
kitsune replied to easilyamused's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I am really, really glad you haven't given up. I'm sad you are having such a rough time though. I have had a few rough patches along the way--then things just seem to smooth out. Now I finally have enough backups (of everything), that I can change things up and make things work. It really will get better !! If you like menthol, you should like LF menthol. I know how frustrated you are, just don't give up !!!!! smoking in between is no big deal, soon enough you will be smoke free again we really want you to succeed, please let us know if there is anything we can do to help. -
I will make the "sweet Dawn" dessert..... Now, I'm hungry !!

Struggling With Direct Dripping/carts/ Or Cartos?

Few places for blue foam: petsmart carries an aquarium filter material that works great. I believe its marine land. or strictly ejuice carries the blue foam precut, pretty cheap. My link -
Struggling With Direct Dripping/carts/ Or Cartos?

Excellent !!! I don't have much problem with dripping anymore, but going to try it any way. Excellent idea. Thanks for sharing that tip. -
I do buy batteries from them--recently bought some ego-T's from them. not had a any trouble with the ego batteries. Occasionally the US side can be a bit slow to respond when things are busy, The only draw back to the US side of LF is their primary site is in the UK. Abe really tries to stay on top of things but sometimes its hard with so much distance. as far as I know, Abe still covers the UK and US sites. Liberty flights was one of the first places I used in the US. Vendors were pretty limited 2 years ago. I will always have a soft spot for them.
