  1. I'm sorry you are having such a hard time with it !!! I hate it when things just won't work the way they are supposed to
  2. I have noticed some of my flavors don't taste quite right on the tank. The best luck I have had with the tank are VT's apple dapple and a watermelon blend. For some reason the fruit flavors seems to provide a better flavor for me. still not sure if thats the problem, but just a thought.
  3. hopefully somebody will have some more help. I have a couple tanks and I have been fortunate and had very little trouble. It sounds like it is more than just primer, but beyond that I am not much help. sounds like you are doing everything right. Could it by chance be the liquid??
  4. Maybe now you will be able to spread your wings and enjoy your life with a bit of new found freedom. Not all heartache ends badly. sometimes a messy house is very liberating !!!! You deserve a messy house, a nice vape and a couple drinks.
  5. primer really shouldn't be that hard to get rid of. I've never had it be that resistant. could it possibly be the plastic on the tank/cart?? I have been using a small pair of scissors to cut away any extra plastic from the hole in the top of the cart. just using one side of the scissors into the opening and rotating around to shear away any remnants.
  6. personally, I use the corner of a kleenex and gently push into the open end of the atty or tank and blow through the battery end. can also use compressed air. Have you tried dripping just one drop to the atty?
  7. Just got back from a 6 year olds b day party. Nothing like a gaggle of screaming girls. Not sure how they can reach such a deafening pitch !!! At least I didn't have to change the locks. Hope you are holding up, despite all the chaos.....Life with kids moves forward no matter what else is going on in our lives.
  8. It really does vary person to person. For me, I am also reaching the dreaded menopause, plus thyroid issues. More than one issue led to weight gain. Just happened to quit smoking at the same time. However, I now can workout without being short of breath. There are plenty of people that had no weight changes, many even lost weight.
  9. Not a clue..... I managed to gain 30 pounds. I know I didn't increase my eating, but still managed to gain weight. I read several articles once upon a time that chemicals in cigarettes did cause an increase in metabolism. or maybe its just that I no longer had to walk forever to find a place to smoke...... every time I quit smoking in the past I would start to put on weight--when I restarted smoking I would lose weight .... Gotta love big tobacco. Over all the pros of vaping out weigh a bit weight gain--at least I can breath better (and I no longer stink of cigarette smoke)
  10. I'm glad you are looking at DIY--It really is fun and challenging. For me--I mostly mix with 36mg/ml. I don't wear gloves, but I do keep a package of baby wipes nearby to clean any immediate spills off my hands and then wash with soap and water . I am usually pretty good at keeping spills to a minimum. when I am mixing with higher levels of nicotine I am alot more cautious and do use gloves and work on a hard surface that is easily cleaned, and I make sure there are no animals under foot. I always keep any of my nicotine liquids(all strengths) out of reach of children. Mine are grown, but I do have friends with kids and I do have animals. knock on wood, almost 2 years and no trouble.
  11. personally I stick with 18mg-- I have played with various strength, but I always end up back to 18mg, it seems to be my sweet spot. For me anyway, vaping has simply replaced smoking--I really enjoy the ritual and don't worry as much about the nicotine--I just add it to one of my list of vices--coffee, junk food, skittles...... I do a lot of my own mixing, but the VT store has 3 of my favorites--Midnight, Macchiato and apple dapple. I also use Word up--My link I like the cappuccino and champagne--They have a great range of liquids. Freedom smoke usa My link. They also have some great flavors. I kinda alternate between suppliers. They each have liquids I like and work for me. When I started, I would get 10ml bottles until I was able to figure out what I really liked.
  12. I used to find I would end up topping off my carts several times during the day.....I finally gave up and ended up with direct dripping. When I'm not direct dripping I use my Ego Tank. Doesn't sound like you have a faulty device. Unfortunately carts themselves never worked very well. You may want to look at cartomizers, from what I understand, they require less filling. vaping involves more steps than smoking. The overall benefits however, for me, out weigh any hassel. It is pretty difficutly to compare smoking and vaping in terms of 'how many cigarettes', about the only thing that is easy to calculate is the amount of nicotine. Most of us vape way more than we smoked.......
  13. contact paper is a great Idea Fingernail decals also work well.....
  14. I know, I can't wait to be able to check it out. at least as far as I know they still have a store front......
  15. You got it !!! mix away I love new flavors
  16. Hey Molly, Waiting is the absolutely the worst part of vaping !!! I am 2 years in and still hate waiting !! Like everything else in life, the list of warnings is very, very, very long. For me, I will take vaping over smoking as far as chemicals and side effects. I would talk to your doctor at some point or even your pharmasist.
  17. Happy Birthday !!!! Hope you get to do something other than work today......
  18. Sounds like a good plan to me !!! Yes, Vaping really can become a fill time job--at least in the beginning. as you sort through the various options and methods and figure out what works best for you, Things begin to settle down a bit (leaves more time for the forum). You can also use a smaller dropper bottle (if you have one), add your tobacco flavor and start by adding a few drops of menthol--filling the cartomizer. If you feel like you need more menthol you can add more to the mix. In most cases, a little goes a very long way. sounds like you are getting the hang of things
  19. no help with the cartomizers. as far as the green light...Many times the batteries arrive fully charged. green is go can't wait to hear what you think.

    P.s.

The fully charged 510 with occasional use should last a few hours. If you use it more frequently, you will only get 1-2 hours with light use. having a PCC will make sure you always have one charging while you are using the other battery.
  21. I must admit skittles really do make a good chaser to tequila...... Forgot about the nasty dry taste of smoking. Vaping may leave a dry mouth, but at least it taste soooo much better.
  22. Its been a very long time since I used the prefilled carts, but as I recall, they really didn't cut it. You really should look at buy liquid so you can fill your own carts or cartomizers. Personally, I prefer direct dripping. My link.
  23. I am certain they see it, but they will want the whole enchilada. Personally, I don't think I want them in control (again). The second problem is I don't think it possible to really re-create the flavor of burning tobacco and paper. Kinda like cherry flavored foods don't really taste like real cherries....... For me, the final part of my transition to vaping was when I was able to stop comparing vaping to smoking. I was just able to enjoy vaping as a new experience that just happens to replace smoking.
  24. PG can be very drying, especially when added to other things that cause dry mouth. Sometimes a pg/vg mix helps a bit. for me it's gum and lots of water. (skittles work too )
