The Ego or Ego tank system is really is a great place to start. The Vendors on the suppliers list are great to work with. You can also look at the Riva from Liberty-Flights--a bit cheaper and from what I have heard, reliable. Great Vendor. The Joye egos have a better warranty and are very reliable. The egos are a bit fatter than the 510's, but the battery life is much, much better.

I'll have to give them a try, I mostly drip. I have only used 510's since I started, so maybe time to try something new. Thanks Prof

Thats my problem, and its been 2 years. how do I know something else isn't better until I try it....... I always end up back to dripping with my LR's, but If I don't try new things, I might miss something.

There are flavors out there that I can not even imagine vaping !!! There are those that are always looking for new flavors to try......

For me I use the Ego batts ( 900 or 1000 mah) + Joye LR 510 atty's. I don't use the cone anymore (purely cosmetic). I like to know how hot my atty is getting, so I can let it cool down if needed. Yes you can drip to the Tank. Occasionally, I drip to the tank (just one drop) and replace the tank cart--helps with flavor and amazing throat hit with the LR tanks. Mostly if I am going to drip I stick to atomizers. best flavor and throat hit for me. Hey Prof !!! do the 306's provide the same throat hit as the 510's??? didn't know they had the same threads. Good to know.

I must admit, I vape just about as frequently. I use anywhere from 6mg to 24 mg. for me the nicotine strength doesn't really make a difference is how much I vape. the strength just depends on how much throat hit I want. I have done the math--and for me anyway-- the mg I smokes vs the mg I vape is about the same--even though I vape many times/hour. I use about 2-3 mls of liquid/day (depending on the day) I think its more about how she feels about it....I am one that loves the pacifier effect

Our taste buds do change, It never hurts to give liquids you didn't like a second chance after a bit of time, sometimes they surprise you. For me, if that doesn't work--a little DIY flavor touch up always did the trick. I have never had a liquid I couldn't fix.....

Thanks for sharing that. The ego battery life really is fantastic. the 900mah batteries get me easily through a 12 hour shift. no worries about dying batteries and always having to cary 3-4 extra batteries with me. Glad you are enjoying your Ego !!!

Hey Kyle, Very glad you have joined us !!! Few options for you (mostly what fran said)..... The 510 is a nice unit, but the battery life has always been the problem. (couple hours-maybe), but great for throat hit and vapor and flavor--uses the 510 atomizers/carts or 510 tank. The 520 is essentially the same as the 510, just longer and a bit better battery life. Both are the thin-penstyle and come in a wide variety of colors and are sold by most vendors. The draw back to both is the battery life.... The next and most recommended is the ego line: a bit fatter than the 510/520--about the sam around as a sharpie and comes is several sizes--650, 900, 1000+ mah. The mah determines how long the battery will last between charges. the higher the mah the longer the battery. the 1000 mah is about the same length and size as a standard sharpie (size includes atomizer and cart/drip tip). The VT store has some great flavors to choose from--they also sell the 510's and egos. Check out the suppliers list on the forum.

I've given up on keeping track. I do know I still spend about a 100.00 a month on misc stuff--batts, atts, liquid, new flavors, mixing flavors, new toys........ I figure I would be spending about 200.00/month if I were still smoking, so long as I keep it less than that, I figure I am doing well. I have no doubt I would still be smoking, so the money is much better spent on vaping. I love backups !!!!

Yes, you can use your debit card(at least as far as I know). the billing address is the address your card statement is sent to--usually the same as your shipping address. 'The amount is taken directly from your credit card or debit account. you can also use the visa gift cards if it won't accept your debit. can get those at most grocery stores or walmart.

The 510 is a good place to get started. just make sure you have extra batteries and atomizers. the battery life is about 2 hours (less if you vape heavily). Most (if not all) suppliers carry 510 products. if down the road you decide to try the ego, the 510 atomizers work with both. I started with the 510 and it worked great.

I can't say I don't have a stash of nicotine on hand for 'just in case'. We really do love to help. we all started out as the new kid.... if you have more questions, feel free to ask. we will try to help if we can. Hopefully, there will be no bans...... It never hurts to be prepared....

Once you get the hang of DIY, it really isn't too hard. Just some trial and error finding the flavors you like best. I actually find mixing fun--I love all the flavor combinations. If I get tired of a flavor, I can change it or spice it up a bit.

I bought a nice hard plastic, medium sized tackle box from walmart that works very nicely. However, I have since outgrown it and have things in all sorts of places. time to get another tackle box.....(or 2)

Personally, I agree. I really have no desire to miss (or be kicked off) a flight for something like vaping. especially when stealth vaping is so simple. I have vaped on many flights and just keep it to myself. if I need lots of vapor, I head to the lavatory and don't recommend blowing into the smoke detector......

I'm glad you you are liking it !!! The tank for me doesn't really do well with flavor. great throat hit and vapor. I mostly use mine for those times when I can't drip. Did you get atomizers with your kits?? dripping for me anyway, is the best for flavor and throat hit.

PG and VG are just that--no additives. would always stick to reputable vendors, but there shouldn't be any any thing added to it unless you get it with nicotine and flavoring.

Talks of bans is not new, (doesn't mean it can't happen), but it is a very difficult thing to control in the days of internet. This is a link for some DIY basics My link. This can help you at least get started. My link check out wordup. They sell 0-100mg nicotine liquids in premixed flavors or unflavored. The strength you choose depends on your comfort level handling nicotine. What strength do you plan to mix to?? Word up also has PG and VG. Flavorings you will always be able to get as they are primarily used for candy or baking. Liquids last approx 2 years--so won't help to have a 5 year supply. but at least a year or 2 would give you time to play with 0 nic or find another way to get nicotine (there will be a way) I did experiment with making my own 0 nic and found in a pinch I could make do with it--the key to throat hit is menthol. we have all been at this point of panic with all the threats of bans and controls......While I try not to panic, I do love my backups

desert ship is supposed to be a camel type flavor and RY 4 is a caramel tobacco type flavor. there are alot of people out there that like RY4. I have had really good luck with VT flavors--my favorites are macchiato(light coffee flavor), midnight(sweet champagne/fruit flavor) and sweet dawn(nice fruit/pear flavor), apple dapple. I have also had good luck with wordups flavors--watermelon, cappuccino, champagne. I am essentially flavor challenged, so end up adding extra flavoring to all my liquids. but VT's flavors I can taste.
