  1. I have had great luck with liquids from the VT store and from wordup. It does sound like you are vaping faster than the liquid can wick to the atomizer. Its one of the reasons I prefer dripping. When I drip, I just add liquid as I need it. 5-6 draws for every 2 drops. I never had much luck with cartos--I vape faster than it can wick. I have recently moved to the 510-tank with my ego. no filler for the liquid to wick through. the tank cart holds about 1/2 ml of liquid. I also find the fruit type flavors and the coffee type flavors work the best for me. usually about 50/50 (PG/VG). Lots of trial and error when first beginning the vaping journey. We all have our preferences when it comes to devices, flavors etc.
  2. I keep waiting for the But....... Not exactly sure why the 510-t works so much better than the ego-t's, essentially the same type of atomizer and system, just smaller. Its great to finally have something work the way I want it to. Took it with me to the movies yesterday and not a single hassle. I still prefer the ego's size to the larger bottom feeder or wet box type mods.
  3. Ego passthrough would be just the ticket. need a USB car adapter, but is perfect for on the road. Either ego-T atomizer/cart system or the 510-T atomizer/cart system. Both are compatible with any ego batteries. Personally, I am loving the 510-T atty/carts with my ego batts. holds about 1/2 ml of liquid, easy to have a few extra filled and ready to go. the ego-T holds about a ml of liquid, but, personally, I always had trouble with flavor with the ego-T. Either way, both are great for when you are on the move.
  4. Ms. T's Bakery really is pretty amazing !!! really does have the strongest flavors I have run across. I am among the flavor challenged and finding flavors that are strong enough has always been the challenge. It's why I mostly end up 'doctoring' my flavors. I have used many vendors, I'm not sure if you will find any stronger in flavor than ms. T's
  5. I have the exact same problem with the ego T's. When I can make them work I love it. The 510-T hold less liquid, but over all, I really like them better. mind you, I am only on day 4. but after working the last 3 12 hour shifts and only using the ego with the 510-T, I am sold. No leaking, no burning, nice smooth-consistant draw, plus I can even taste my liquid flavors. You really should give them a try Brian. I was pleasantly suprised to find they work so much better. I even ordered some more last night.
  6. Just got around to trying the 510-T atomizer with my Ego battery and I have to say, I may have found my backup sweet spot. Dripping will always be my #1 sweet spot, but I am really liking the LR 510-T atomizer  The ego-T had great throat hit and vapor production, but lacked flavor (keeping in mind, I am flavor challenged anyway). I did like the fact that it held a ml of liquid. The 510-T atomizer only holds about 1/2 ml(only draw back at this point) of liquid, but not only has the throat hit and vapor production, I can also taste my liquids Its easy enough to fill a few tank carts with different flavors to have on hand. I have been using the 510T atty with my ego batt for the last 3 12 hour shifts and it has been great. I love being able to change the flavors to easily. honestly, after about 1/2 a ml, I am ready for a flavor change and just pop in a new cartridge. I love the minimal hassel with the tank systems. I have had no trouble with leakage (then again, I never had trouble with the ego tank leaking either) With the ego tank I always still had the desire to drip, but with the 510-T, the drip desire is significantly less. Dripping still is #1 for flavor, but the LR 510-T is certainly running a close second. I never had much luck with cartomizers and really do love the tank system, and really am loving the LR 510 tanks. For those that prefer using the cone with their egos, the cone fits the same as with any 510 atomizer. I really recommend giving this a try for those that like the tank systems. Happy vaping to all
  7. :animier: I know for me it really is the pacifier effect. I can vape 0 mg nic and not feel any different. the biggest problem for me with 0 nic is still the throat hit. I am really glad your Dr. is being supportive. vaping is a 1000 times better than smoking in my book.
  8. For me....My sweet spot is Ego battery + LR 510 atomizer + dripping. Unless you go with a higher voltage device, the 510 LR atty is best for vapor production and throat hit. nicotine level in the liquid also affects the throat hit. I have just started playing with using an LR 510-T atomizer on my Ego. So far, I am liking it much better than the ego-T atomizers or cartomizers. The LR 510 T atomizer has great throat hit, vapor production and to my amazement--decent flavor. My biggest complaint with the ego -t atomizers has always been flavor loss. the LR 510-T--holds about .5ml. Great for changing flavors. can easily fill several cartridges with different flavors and switch out. I may have found a new sweet spot
  9. Mostly, dead is dead and won't come back. occasionally you will get one that seems to be dying and with a little rest and cleaning, will come back to life (at least temporarily). I have a small box of dead and dying atty's (can't seem to bring myself to throw them out). Backups, backups, backups !!!
  10. I would have to go with....Not so normal. Personally, I like to keep my batteries dry I've used my PV almost every place, except the shower.
  11. around here its actually easy enough.... this is a great, friendly community. I was new to forums when I started vaping, Everybody here is helpful and we love adding new people to the family Everybody works hard to keep it clean and helpful. Jump in...the pool in great !!
  12. I Agree, Never Forget !!! We are going out to Pearl Harbor today and going to find My Uncles Marker from WWII at punch bowl. I Want to thank all those currently in service and all those that have served in the past !!!
  13. not had any problem with the liquid coming out faster or any type of leakage. I only shave enough to remove the membrane that is punctured when attached to the atty.
  14. Hey Jon--don't give up yet !!! 1st--I use one of the blades on a small pair of scissors to clear any plastic edges from the top hole in the tank cartridge. I just insert one scissor blade and turn a few times --slightly opens the hole in the cartridge a bit more. 2nd--as stated above--I add a couple drops to the atty before replacing the cartridge. I no longer have the burning type taste. the flavor still is very, very muted--still works better than cartos for me for when I can't drip. dripping still remains my sweet spot.
  15. and a drip tip...... sounds like a decent set up. like Cheryli said---a bit of extra liquid never hurts. not something you want to run out of. a couple different flavors are good. The prefilled carts don't last very long and don't work near as well as cartomizers or my personal favorite--dripping.
  16. Congrats !!! love the banner Like they said--eGo is the way to go. The eGo can be charged with the 510 charger, if you have the one that has the threads at the end (some you have to insert the 510 into the charger--hope that makes sense). But the eGo charger will charge the battery faster.
  17. I am very glad the crisis is averted !!!! Fortunately I haven't had any chargers die on me (yet), but I currently have 5 chargers just waiting to take their place in the line up. We often forget to add chargers to the newbie list. not sure about an FV coupon--I think they already have their prices as low as they can go.
  18. Gotta Love Fibro !!! I have been vaping for almost 2 years and haven't noticed a difference one way or another. Right now, its the weather. The hot and cold always nails me. since I quit smoking and can breath again, I have taken up core yoga and that has helped with some of the pain. I commiserate with your pain !!!
  19. I have flown many times without any problem. I do put my liquids in my quart baggie (some labeled, some not) and never had any questions. same goes for my hardware. Last time I flew, it was mostly ego equipment. I don't keep everything in one place, (just in case), but I do keep most of it, including chargers etc, in with any electrical stuff I am carrying. I always have at least one assembled and ready to use. I am one of those non-compliant individuals that will vape in the restroom while on a long flight---7 hours is just too long for me and if I can, I have been known to stealth vape in my seat...easiest when I am flying with my kids ( 19 and 22), they are good at providing cover.
  20. Taste buds do take a bit of time to heal. Unless, of course they are mine...I am taste challenged (only with vapor, not foods), Thank Goodness for DIY. The tank really does seem to kill flavor, but great vapor and throat hit. For me dripping + LR atomizer = sweet spot. Flavor, vapor and throat hit. once you get the hang of dripping, its hard to be impartial about other methods Highly recommend getting a 510 LR atomizer (or 2). You can use the atomizer you have for dripping--carts never have worked very well-they just never seem to wick the liquid to the atomizer very well. with the tank--you can pop the top of the cartridge off and fill with your liquid dropper bottle, or use a pipette to fill through the hole in the top of the cart. removing the cap a few times does tend to loosen it a bit and leads to the potential for leaking. I usually use a pipette to fill the tanks when at home, if I am out, I just pop of the cap and drip into the cart. No help with cartomizers, sorry. there are some great videos on 'how to' floating around. I promise vaping gets easier as you get the hang of what works best for you. all the trial and error will be well worth it
  21. Just don't give up !!! maybe get an an atomizer for dripping. Don't know if it will help---but its worth a try.
  22. It will work just fine with a standard or LR 510 atomizer. The XL is just a bit longer, so the time between charges is longer. Otherwise, it is still a 3.7V 510. if you are looking at longer battery life, have you looked at the eGo??
  23. No Problem !!! I love 5 Volts and it works wonderful with the 2A adapter. so many wonderful vaping options.
  24. Its a good idea to have 3-4 atomizers on hand for just in case. I usually order a couple a month. currently have about 10 (maybe more ) on hand --just in case !!! No help with shipping canada, sorry. Dripping = 2-3 drops to atomizer is good for about 6-8 draws. dripping does require more frequent steps, but for me anyway, Its worth it. you can drip 2 drops to the atomizer and replace the cart with liquid in it and you will be good to go. if you use a cart with filler and liquid, you won't have to drip quite as often. When the flavor changes or gets a burnt taste you need more liquid. if you are dripping its hard to run the atty too dry--the taste is horrendous. You will quickly learn the flavor/vapor changes and when to drip. Honestly, I don't even think about it much anymore, its just becomes routine.
  25. I only use a kleenex to wipe in out and remove any left over liquid, that it for me.
