  1. Congrats !!!! Vaping really is its own hobby---so many cool toys and flavors. I love the freedom vaping provides .
  2. Happy Belated Birthday !!!! Enjoy your Hooters......
  3. The Ego really is a great device--I have been in love with mine for about a year. Ordering a couple nicotine strengths is helpful to find what works best for you. There is no comparison to the disposable systems. If you really, really, really have to have the thin battery then it the 510---but the battery life is pretty short. The Ego will get you through the day depending on what size you get. with the right e-cig--you will love vaping !!!
  4. I would have to go with 2 (then again, almost everything on the planet rates at least a 2). I have been vaping for just over 2 years and would never go back to smoking !!! inhaling anything into your lungs is never a good thing (including the air we breathe these days)...... vaping vs smoking = No contest, hands down vaping is better.
  5. walking from colorado to australia is pretty interesting too.....love the route through japan...and of course the kayaking from the us to hawaii, to japan, to australia. It only takes 191 days and 23 hours (I'm pretty sure that doesn't include sleeping) Gotta love Google
  6. Mcquinn is right, every device and its components currently have its draw backs. Even after 2 years I still like trying new things and 'tinkering'. I know for many, dripping is a pain and seems like a lot of works, but for me it has just become second nature and I don't think about it at all. Kinda like when I smoked, I didn't think much about finding a place to have a smoke, digging out a cigarette, finding my lighter ect..... knock on wood, I haven't had a single leakage problem with the 510 tanks--it really has been the lowest maintenance system I have used. perfect for work or when I can't drip, but dripping will always be my sweet spot. I really hope you can find what works for you, The journey really can be very frustrating.
  7. I still only use the 510's--one of these days I will get around to trying a different type. currently, I have been using the 510 tank with the ego and for me anyway, it works better than the ego tank. drawback--only holds about 1/2 ml liquid, but is easy enough to have a couple extra filled tanks on hand. 2nd draw back--they seem to run perfect for about a week then die off a bit, but still workable. I have found that If I alternate after a week or so, it works well again. Good flavor, good throat hit. overall, the 510 tank has been working pretty well. I do still drip when I am at home (just personal preference). I don't know that there is any perfect answer. I find the 510 tank is really pretty low maintenance and works well.
  8. Sweet spot = ego + drip tip + applepie or tiramisu(DIY) back up for driving or times when I can't drip (movies)--ego + 510 tank (not ego tank)
  9. The whole FDA testing was a joke all the way around, but of course its the gospel according the FDA..... Not to mention they are always looking for a good excuse to control the vaping industry -- they will need a new source of income with cigarettes becoming too expensive (and dangerous)...... I will take my chances with vaping!!!!
  10. Sounds really good!! I've tried strawberry and coconut--peach sounds like a nice addition. Watermelon and coconut go well together too. Thanks for the recipe
  11. I love the smell of dryer sheets !!! Can actually smell them when I put on fresh clean clothes On the down side all 3 dogs get a lot more baths since I quit smoking....
  12. I just can't believe you made it 6 mos brian !!! That in and of itself is an accomplishment Not going to be any help with choosing......Mostly because I have the exact same problem....I hate choosing and keep going back and forth and then end up not being able to make a decision. I too am a vapeaholic and am quickly becoming (or have already become) a PV hoarder
  13. 50/50 is the right way to mix your liquid to 18mg/ml. Was it a new bottle of wiltons?? I ask this because, I haven't heard of any adverse reactions to cutting e liquid with wiltons( food grade) or humco (pharma grade glycerin), Is it possible, even at 18mg the nicotine strength is too much?? Totally wicked is a reputable supplier, I haven't heard of any trouble with their liquids. It really does sound like vaping too much nicotine.
  14. Most pharmacies carry glycerine. It is sold as a skin protectant (one of the many uses for glycerin). at walmart, the brand I found is Humco. Even though it is sold as skin protectant, it is the right glycerine for mixing, even has the VG slightly sweet taste. Not sure why the wiltons would make you feel bad....... What nicotine strength are you using?
  15. Really like the Darker skin. The contrast makes it easier to see what I am looking for. Great job Chris.
  16. Too late Mark !!!! Nice Job Chris. It really is hard to find a night out with a little one and one on the way. It the little (and big) things that will keep you married for a very long time. The Napkins turned out very nice !!! what did we doe before internet and youtube.
  17. Really does sound like it could be the heat. I had the same problem when I was in arizona, all my devices seem to leak a bit more that usual. I had somebody recommend way back when..... put them in a thermal lunch type container with ice packs in the bottom and keep the device and liquid in there. wrap the ice packs in towel or paper towel to absorb condensation from the ice melting through the day and keep out of the sun.
  18. The 510 in and of itself isn't a bad device, just has a very short battery life. The Ego uses the 510 atomizers/cartomizers or tanks, and has a much longer battery life between charges. if you go with atomizers--get the drip tip, I personally prefer dripping, but many love cartomizers. honestly you will end up trying different combinations to determine what works best for you. I know its a bit confusing in the beginning. The Ego or 510 kits come with the basic items to get you started (except the e-liquid). Backup parts are always a good thing if budget allows. batteries, atomizers, cartomizers, liquid, charger......... vaping really is amazing and I can't even express how much better than chantix !!!!!
  19. If you order some 0 nic, you can order a small bottle of menthol liquid. adding just a couple drops will add a little throat hit without tasting like menthol. nicotine in and of itself doesn't cause breathing problems. Inhaling anything into the lungs is never really healthy, but vaping overall is so much better than smoking. I for one breath much better than I did when I was smoking. I am no longer short of breath and my cough is gone. Good luck
  20. Chris Just never sleeps........ or very possibly a bio-mechanical life form.....
  21. Congrats an making it this far !!!! Alot of people struggle with those last few cigarettes, especially when out with friends that smoke. continuing to vape through the cravings does help some. another option is bit higher nicotine liquid for those difficult times. beyond that, relax and vape. If you need a smoke...smoke. The more pressure you put on yourself the worse the anxiety and cravings become worse. Over time, vaping will completely replace smoking.
  22. That was great !!!! It really does put things into perspective
  23. Usually it's time for a new cartridge. mine seem to leak a bit over time. I had taken to leaving my battery/tank with the cart side down at an angle.
