I have been vaping in a smoke free work environment for 2 1/2 years and no trouble. kept things discreet around those I knew would cause trouble. The great part of vaping is that I can pick and choose when I want people to know I am vaping. Welcome to the wonderful world of vaping !!

Beautiful...I actually laid eyes on one yesterday...it really is a beauty. Haven't tried one out yet... I'm hoping to hit the volcano cafe here in oahu and see if I can test one out.

most pharmacies carry glycerol, which is a vegetable glycerin that can be used to dilute or cut liquids. Walgreens: http://www.walgreens.com/store/c/africare-100-glycerin/ID=prod4118523-product.... I know, I know...Glycerin has many uses and one of them is as a skin protectant...if you are brave enough and taste it out of the bottle, it is slightly sweet. I have used a similar brand without problem. You just want a 100% glycerin product.

You are in good company....there are lots of us flavor challeged folks. I can taste food just fine, but vaping...not so much. Have you tried adding just a drop or two of menthol to you flavors...boosts the flavor a bit without tasting like menthol.

Welcome To DIY !! I started with DIY because I am among the flavor Challeged...I have a hard time tasting most flavors. Most Cherry flavors have a very perfumy type flavor for me. http://www.ecigexpress.com/ These guys have a great selection of flavorings: Some of my favorites.... PA makes a great Caramel, Marshmallow (great for sweetening flavors) Flavour Art: Apple Pie, Tiramisu, Cafe espresso Flavor West: Sugar Cookie and Chocolate mint. Lorann: Watermelon, english toffee, strawberry, butterscotch. Merry Mixing Just remember, Always mix in small amount until you get the flavor you want....less waste. For me DIY is lots of fun...I love the endless flavor combinations.

Not sure about actual meaning of the numbers, They do have different types of threads. The 510 currently is the most universal atomizer/cartomizer/tank. It all ends up being personal preference. Most of us over time, end up trying various combinations and end up with our personal favorites. Mine the 510LR atomizer...cartomizers just never really worked well for me...I prefer direct dripping for flavor and vapor production.

I was one of the unfortunates that gained weight. I know it wasn't substituting...I was perfectly content with vaping. I always gained weight when I stopped smoking, so kept pretty good track of what I was eating and still gained weight. Mind you the lack of exercise and love for sugar and fatty foods doesn't help. vaping is still worth it !!

Very Well Said. VT has been a great home with a great group of friendly helpful friends. VT wasn't my first stop in my vaping journey, but it is where I have stayed for the last couple years, and hopefully for a few more yet to come.

Taking The Color Off Ego Battery
kitsune replied to Tagsanstuff's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I was able to use an emery board to remove the coating (the rubbery stuff) and gave it a very nice brushed silver look. I really like the way it turned out. wasn't too difficult to remove the colored coating. -

Its easier to breakdown as amount of nicotine per day...for me, I used to smoke about 30 cigarettes/day. Marlboro LIghts = about 1mg nicotine/cigarette, so looking at about 30mg/day when I was smoking. I usually vape 18-24mg/ml (depends on my mood). I figure I go through about 1.5-2mls/day....give or take a bit I figure I get about 27mg to 36mg nicotine/day---just about a wash. Then again, traditional cigarettes have added chemicals to aide in the absorption of nicotine into the system, that vaping does not. For me anyway, I have been able to vape 0 nicotine without any cravings...so long as I can get the throat hit, I'm happy. However, vaping 0 nic doesn't give the same throat hit, so I ended up going back to nicotine (which isn't anywhere near as harmful as most of the other chemicals in a cigarette). Like Dayvape posted: I listen to my body and go from there. So far, its been working for 2.5 years (smoked for 30 years).

Congrats on looking into E-cigs, it really is that much better than smoking. I promise, the 510 won't be your last device. There have been talks of bans and regulation since I started 2 1/2 years ago...I am certain we will eventually find ourselves in the quagmire of regulation, but for the moment we have a bit of freedom. And I don't think there is a vaper out there that won't go down fighting....The numbers increase daily. You won't be sorry you decided to give vaping a try, its is worth it, 100%.

mixing really is a lot of fun. Its one of my favorite parts of Vaping. Unfortunately, I have more than enough supplies at the moment. Hopefully, there will be somebody around to take you up on the deal. Just be very cautions with the 48mg liquid, quite toxic and potentially lethal to children and animals.....possibly even to adults. mixing really does save money and opens up all kinds of flavor opportunities.
